ur taxcredits will go up hun f you drop to 16 hours if you ring they should be able to tell you a brief run through of what ur entitled too. any less than 16 hours i think they take the tax credits away so as long as you stick to that u should be fine x

Don't know sorry, but can only advise you to use either of these sites for a bit of help. The hmrc tax credits site and use the do I qualify link or the entitledto site.

The reason they can't tell is the payments are not calculated by people but by the computer system! The staff at Tax Credits can only give out general advice and not actual figures.

r u better off doinbg 16hrs or doing more hrs? when u ring tax credits they wont tell me other the phone until I am actually doing these new hrs.

I am currently in the process of dropping my hrs to 16hrs and want to know if my tax credits will go up or get lowered?

I have had to drop these hrs due to not having childcare on a saturday and no where to take my baby on a saturday so therefore work wont let me change my shifts to more suitable hrs which leaves me no choice to drop my hrs to 16hrs but need to know will my tax credits go up or will i lose some?

    Any advice would be great?

    thanks
