    thanks for the advice girls, it turned out lovely, best white chocolate and raspberry icecream ive ever tasted.

    we are real ice cream lovers in my house so have now invested in a machine, cant wait to get started. Good bye shop bought ive cream!!!

    If it turned out well, get a machine and you'll be addicted!  I have the Panasonic BH-941P machine which is great and really good value (my review is on Amazon).

    if you just put it in the freezer it will go solid and probably be full of ice crystals...what you need to do is approx once an hour take it back out the freezer and stir it really well right into all the corners... for a few hours...this will prevent the crystals forming and will also make it scoopable

    i have just followed a recipe to make ice cream and now it says that i have to use an ice cream maker! i dont have one. i know i should have read thye whole reipe first but i didnt. whast wrong with just putting it in the freezer?
