I did one a couple of weeks ago. We had antipasti for starters - did a platter with salami and parma ham around the outside and olives, mozzarella pearls and cherry tomatoes in the middle drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Everyone dived in with warm ciabatta and helped themselves.
For the main course, I have a big, shallow pasta dish so I did meatballs with a tomato sauce on some flat pasta (was like taglitelle but with crinkley edge). I put this in the middle of table and everyone helped themselves.
For dessert I made the most amazing panna cotta using the recipe off the Tesco website, and we had it with strawberries that I'd soaked in a strawberry liqueur.
