    with pasta you have to either fully defrost over night or heat from frozen.

    Most things can be cooked slowly from frozen if you have put them in foil or glass containers with glass you have to put them in a cold oven.

    Stew, curry, and any thing like that can be defrosted and heated in microwave no problems.

    I personally find it takes too long to defrost and cook that way and top will dry out before inside is defrosted, depends on whether you can stir it or not really.  I would leave it out to defrost and then heat.  I buy those foil takeaway dishes and leave them to defrost all day and then reheat in oven.  I don't find that pasta defrosts well in the microwave either.

    Hi ladies,im thinking of cooking batches of food to freeze ready for wen baby cums along in november.Now when i have frozen it and its time to cook it can it just be taken from freezer to say microwave.Things like shepherds pie,lasagne,spag bol and stews.Please any advice or tips wud be great.many thanks.sheena xx
