They are slightly different and aptamil is designed to feel different and be digested easier that c&g.
owever I also agree it is not the milk it is the way the baby feeds.
Bottles are VERY important if you have a windy baby. I use Doctor Browns and although some people will not justify spending the money on Dr Browns bottles I certainly did! My son was terrible, screaming drawing his legs up and in awful pain, so any ammount of money to help him was money VERY WELL SPENT! If you don't want to spend it, then lo can't be that bad.
I swear by the DR Brown bottles, although I did lso swap from c&g the week before.
Also with a windy baby the more upright they can be the better, tummy must always be lower than the head, and by holding the bottle at 45 degrees with a full teat at all times you can minamise the ammount of wind being taken in.
hmm , i just checked on the cartons which i have both in my cupboard, it is the same address, but different post codes , so i would think there in the same industrial park thats all x and all of the baby milks are made in Dublin
its not 100% the same , as the ingrediants are more or less varied x
i use aptamil 1 , and sometimes SMA gold
do you know aptimal is cow & gate? take a look at the carton it's the same and the address is too
it's all a scam for price - i dont like to be ripped of my hv told me this, even tho their not supposed to lol

i changed my LO from aptamil to c&g comfort. he was very sick with aptamil. and colicy. but since changing and giving him 2 weeks to settle all is well aart from a smelly bum
I think the wind is more to do with how the baby feeds and bottle more than the milk?? ive just bought mam bottles, they have holes in the bottom for the air to come out of. they can be tricky to get use to,but once you have tightened the bottom on,they work well and dont leak. I was previously using Nuk which are fine, but finding the mam better. Aptamil hasnt agreed with my baby and made her more sick, but every baby is different.
i am thinking of changing my lo from c+g comfort to aptimal. he is an extremely windy baby too!! can spend up to 3 hours a time feeding and winding as always has more and wont settle. i havent changed it sooner because i dont want to unsettle him if aptimal is no better!! i know this isnt advice but is reassuring to know im not the only one with very windy baby!!
my son is 7 weeks and very windy, he is great during the day but is unsettled in the evening. i think it is colic, i am using infacol as well. I tries C&G comfort for a week but didnt think it made any difference. Has anyone changed to aptimal because their wee ones were windy and did it make any difference.
