Gripe water and infacol work totally differently, Gripe water helps to sispurse the air to help it pass easier whereas Infacol encourages air to clog together to encourage a big burp.
I swore by infacol but grip water made my son vimit progectile, so I used differently it with my daughter. About 30 mins b 4 she was due a feed I would give her a spoonful of gripe whater diluted in a bottle of about 2oz of water, give her a little drink and wind her that way, so he tummy had no wind before she started her milk.
Wind is a mostly a problem when it is a case of starting a feed when there is still wind, then baby feels full fast, byt then gets tummy ache, you spend ages winding them, they fall asleep, pump all the wind out of the bottom while asleep, then wake up after an hour crying because the wind is gone and they have not had a full feed and are still hungry. By getting as much of an empty stomach to start with is more than half the battle.
Does your babu get uncomfortable when feeding? What is lo like when feeding?
Does lo have lots of wind from the bottom end.
my lo was fine on infacol but when we put gripe water in his bottle instead of coming up as a burp the wind went down and came out the other way and he was in lots of pain
it might not happen to you but if it does its the gripe water
yes u can put gripe water in the bottle. or if your LO drinks water then put it inwith that, if its sicked back up then, least it was water and not the feed.
hth
I know there is somat u can put in her bottle but i dunno bout gripe water, my lo dnt like the taste of gripe water either so i jus waited 4 her 2 spit it bk n caught it in the spoon n gev it her back n she would take all of it evenually lol but i only used it a couple of tyms x x
My Baby Is 11 Weeks Old And She Has Been On Infacol From Week 1, But I Feel Its Becoming Less Effective And If I Give Her 2 Dropers She Does A Big Burb And Is Sick, So I Tried Gripe Water, But She Spat Most Of It Back Out Due To The Taste, I'm Sure I Read Somewhere I Can Put It Into Her Feed, Anyone No If This Is True? Or Have Any Other Tips ?

Hi,
I'm using Dentinox drops which you put into the bottle and this is helping my LO so much better than Infacol which was making her sick. She still has uncomfortable moments but is a ton better than on Infacol.
HTH.
