Hi I had this problem with my ds (11 months now stopped bfing at 10 months) and it took me 4 months to get him to take a bottle. I just kept trying and offering it to him several times a day everyday. I spent a fortune on different bottles too and he all of a sudden one day took to it fine. He would not settle on it to begin with and always wanted a bf afterwards but then after a while he then would have a bf realise it wasn't enough for him then take the bottle and settle on it. He now only has the bottle except when he helps himself to a little breast (not that theres anything left there lol!). I hope this helps and perseverance is the key!! Good luck x x -

try holding him close as if being bf and let him turn his head towards the bottle as if the boob was there if u know what i mean some bf babies dont like warm milk cuz bf is room temp, try a different teat i like tomee tipee bottle the teats are really soft, im not sure but he may be better with a small hole teat like newborn cuz fast flow may be a bit much at first make him splutter, cuz its harder to get milk out of the breast where as a bottle it comes out very easy.
HTH hun it might take a little while as its all new to him but he will do it.xxxxxx

Today i have been trying to introduce a bottle to my 15 week old baby so his Dad can feed him when needed. I'm not expressing but my son just screams and won't take the bottle. Does'nt seem to know what he is doing.
When i have tried to drop some milk into his mouth he puts his hands in.
Any Advice Ladies?
