i used a walker with all of mine, 4mths is usually to young but it does depend on your baby, my dd2 was in one at 4mths but she was sitting unaided and had great control over her head etc, the other 2 were 6mths and 8mths when they went in theres

My girls never had the sit in walkers on the advice of our HV - she had seen soooo many accidents with them collapsing and stuff that we didn't bother. 4 months is definitely too young though!!

My son had a walker at 10 months! hes 13 months now and walking. Dont rush using them.  I remeber a friend bought a walker for her baby at 3 months, cant believe that tbh.  Just think if lo is walking at 9 months they would be in there for 5 months!

i have to agree with milly aswell, 4 months is too young for a walker they have ages on things like for a reason, and thats cuz a 4 month old just isn't strong enough to go in something like that.

I think all babies are different.. my 1st didnt go in a walker until 6 months, but my 2nd was in his at 4 months.. he was fine, he could hold his head up well, I just put a blanket around his tummy so he couldnt move as much

Its your baby so you do what you want

Personally, I waited until my son was 6mths before using his walker, and that was only for 5mins at a time.

4mths in my opinion is too young, he also won't have that great an amount of control over his neck and head, despite what us parents believe!

Prop him up against some cushions on the floor so he can have a nosey around, he doesnt need to be in a walker at 4mths!

    I have a questioncuthwyn

Hey, my ds is 4 months old but loves standing and attempting to walk but it dosen't half hurt my back bending over holdinh him up for the majority of the day. He does have a door bouncer which he loves but he does get frustrated when he can't move forward!!!

Before I have always believed baby walkers to be dangerous as its a young child moving about and are accident prone but now looking at my ds Im starting to wonder if it would give him the 'freedom' he craves and actually be a benefit??

    Any ideas????????
