You can use paper iners with any napy if youwant to. BG's seem to be lovely at first, but don't wear well. There are better alternatives if you look. Best onesize pocket one by far IMO is the p'tits dessous mini-maxi

I've been using Bumgenius since dd was 10 weeks old - she'll be 9 months old on Thurs.  The nappies coped pretty well with bf poo and I would have used them sooner if I'd discovered Bumgenius earlier - hth.

    Hi,

We use bumgenius for nursery, and for a while I was impressed with them as you can stuff them with more stuffing as your child grows, and they're quick to dry and easy to use. But, after more than a year of being washed twice a week, some of them are not wearing very well: velcro is losing its stickiness and on some of them, the stitching round the leg has come away.

At the weekend, we use Tots Bots Fluffles and Motherease airflow wraps, and the Fluffles are still in perfect condition.  The Fluffle/ Motherease combination is bomb-proof. Bumgenius are pretty good for containment, but we didn't have then when DD was exclusively breastfed, so not sure how well they would contain runny poo!

Oh, should add that nursery like the Bumgenius because they are so easy to use.

    Love it!lolalemonpop

i seen these at the baby show, and tbh, if i had seen these b4 i had my lo, i would have bought these...

if i remember right, it is fleece that is next to babys bum, but i would use a fleece liner as well, just to keep the nappys looking good... they are slim but u could make them a bit thicker if u wanted as u stuff them till your happy lol

as these have poppers to make them big/small they should last the full time ur lo is in nappies...

i use a mixture of different kinds, little lambs, huggles, minki, tots bots, swaddlebees... my fav is the swaddlebees just because u stuff them and its only 1 nappy, instead of 2 parts..

if u can, go see a nappy advisor, most will let u trial some b4 u buy, u may need to pay a deposit, but u'll prob get that back / money off ur purchase...

Thank you for the speedy reply! Just thought of another question, are the nappies quite bulky or slimish? Would you recommend a whole stash of them or a mixture of different nappies? Thank you!

Hi there you dont need a liner with these nappies, BUT I would recommend liners as it makes removing poo much easier, just flush down the loo or use fleece liners. xx

    Hi,

I'm not due until november but I do want to try proper nappies this time around (failed miserably last time!). I've seen the bumgenius nappies and wondered if you use a paper liner with these or do you just use the nappy itself, if you know what I mean! Hope someone can help.
