    is that as in they mustn't touch side of pan used to heat rather than mustn't touch metal? have you got a pan large enough to put a colander (so water can freely move) in it??

    otherwise, dunno, have you checked with companies what pastic they use in their sterilisers? it might not be the same type they use for their bottles anyway.

    Errr....  I’m really confused!

    I’ve bought all my BPA free stuff - breast pump, bottles, dummies, etc. But how do I sterilise all of it?? Surely an electric steam steriliser will leach BPA as every one I have seen is made of regular plastic!!! I don’t have a microwave so that’s out the question, and the Green to Grow bottles I have purchased say you can only sterilise them in boiling water if they don’t touch the side of the saucepan.

    Well I can tell you now, if they float off in the saucepan and decide to touch the side, I’m not plunging my hand in there to rescue them! And I don’t have time to stand there watching them for half an hour in the event that they might just float off and hit the side anyway!!!!

    I just don’t get it. What am I supposed to do? Any ideas???
