Yes, I am in Essex and it's their trial thingy. Think I might give it a whirl, thanks ladies

I'm in Colchester and have had the old and updated packs. I used the old modern baby ones with DS and thought they were fine (hadn't tried anything else - still think they are fine now after using with dd).

I have used the new trial pack with DD now 11mths and they are great. What the previous poster said is right, but also the pre-fold nappy and the pop in one are both made of bamboo and are really absorbant (although do take a while to dry).

The new style wraps I think are excellent - I have plenty of nappies so can't justify more of them, but have bought a couple of extra wraps and would rate them as better than the motherease ones they everyone seems to like.

For 10 pounds you really can't go wrong - and you should get a voucher too for 10 pounds cash back from the council if you are in essex (if you don't you can print one off the essexcc website)- just need to send in a receipt for other nappy purchases from anywhere that comes to 10 pounds or more.

I had a trial pack from the council (i'm in Chelmsford, don't know if its the same pack). I had a trial pack with ds1 in 2005 and tbh I thought those were rubbish but I thought I'd try again with ds2 (in 2007) and they had changed the nappies. If it is the same pack you get three, one is a terry square with poppers that you fold and fasten into a wrap, one is a shaped terry nappy that fastens into a wrap and one is a thick shaped nappy, you also get 2 wraps. I liked them, ds2 grew out of them quite quickly which was the only downside, but he is huge and he grows out of everything quickly!!! I thought the pack was def worth the money.

Has anyone used nappies from modern baby? How have you found them?

My council is offering a trial pack of their nappies for a tenner, and it seems to be good value, but I've never heard of them before, and if they're pants I'd rather spend the money on trying others which have come highly recommended.
