I've had an email saying they've never had this problem before and can't imagine why I've had the problem !?

They said all they could suggest was using my 30 day money back guarantee and returning them - which I don't really want to do because I know I won't make the same mistake again.

I'm a bit annoyed that they didn't offer me something as a good will gesture as it has ruined a whole loads of dd's clothes!

I didn't want anything really - I'm not a great complainer but the offer would've been nice

Thanks for warning!! Just got my balls and have used them a few times.  Overall I'm quite pleased with them, they're great for bedding, towels and clothes that need freshening up.  I did stick a load in with my sons clothes after him painting and even with stain remover it did not get paint out.  So I'll maybe use it for lightly soiled only, fortunately I've no new jeans (i'm skint) but appreciate warning!!

I emailed Ecozone direct and the email was returned host unknown so I emailed the company I bought them from - I have 30 day money back guarantee but if they just added a line to the instructions it would be ok - I'd have washed the jeans on a cold rinse first then added the balls later when the dye had comeout.

I don't really want to return them as I like them, I don't even want compensation for the ruined clothes (although a nice new stain remover would be a nice offer) I just want some acknowledgement that there is a flaw...

    That's a pig

I confess I am only useing the eco balls for nappies at the mo, but it's worth others knowing about it.

How long have you had them, could you complain to the maufacturers- they may not be aware of this problem either.

So after much thought and research I bought some Eco balls.

I did a few loads of washing and it was great - My clean bed sheets smelled lovely - no perfume, just clean.

Then I washed the jeans - about six pairs (two pairs were new)

Then my next load all turned blue!!!!

The ecoballs had apparently retained the dye from the new jeans and then released it to turn my daughter's lovely pink stuff a yucky grey/blue colour!!!

I ten had to go out and buy Colour catchers - whic didn't work by the way and I ended up soaking some of the stuff in Milton to 'bleach' the colour out. :0

Sort of defeats the object of getting them in the first place!!!

I washed towels next to be sure and they're all ok again now.

Anyone else had similar or is it just me?
