I think putting pressure on your nipples stops the let down reflex, so you don't leak. If you get a good seal then it should be ok, not sure if you leak little bits though.

I've been thinking about using these for this baby....
My only question is what happens with the milk??? I had loads of leakage one my older ones and can't work out where it goes if its not absorbed.. or do they just stop the milk from leaking out...???
Dont get it!! lol

As I am large chested to start with I struggled at night with normal pads staying in place
. Lilypadz were a god send[l].I admit I only used them at nights and I still wore a bra, just to stop the edges catching- BUT THEY WERE BRILLIANT

Well worth the money in my perosonal opinion.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but is anyone using these/ tried these and found them good? I bf for 8mths with dd, and used disposable pads as i found the washable ones v bulky, but these sound a good idea environmentally and financially! I was planning on styarting with pads for the first few wks until my miik had settled a bit - any advice would be welcome

I've been using them but not exclusively as they will leak if you tend to have lots of milk. Happened to me when I first used them on a day out...
I mostly use them to go swimming and now that I know my flow a bit better can predict if will be ok or not under clothes, lol. Have been bf for 6 months now. The pressure on the nipple does work but only for so long...
They are good, though, feel very comfortable.
