The only down side to a poscket nappy such as bumgenius or wonderoo's is that the conatnmant of runny new born poo is only as good as a dispsoable. If you use a twopiece nappy (outer and wrap) then you get much better containment of runny newborn power poo's.
A good oneszie nappy is onelife otherwise if you do go for the one size pocket I'd say bungenius/
My best advice would be to see and advsior - they are musm who will show you a range of nappies and explian how the all work and support you as you get started with them. If you go to either
http://www.teamlollipop.co.uk
or www.babykind.co.uk
you shoudl be able to find as advsior near to you who can show you how all the different systems work - the demo is free and if you do buy form them it costs no more than it wourl online and you get the suport and advice aswell.
All the online advice can not match a demo where you see and touch the nappies.

the motherease are good and yes in terms of money its great that they're one size.
i had no choice i was given mine but one thing i would day is if you have chubby babies then these can sit too low and require trousers at least one size bigger than child is wearing or they cant sit up properly!!!

Hi, the one size pocket nappies like bumgenius, blueberry minkys etc don't need a separate wrap because the outer material of the nappies is waterproof. This makes them slim fitting and pretty easy to use. I don't know about the other makes of nappy but I use bumgenius and the version 3 bumgenius nappies are sold with 2 microfibre inserts which are included in the price, (if bought new). Sorry if this sounds obvious but you also need to make sure the nappy done up snuggly at the waist and legs or you may get leaks. - hth.

do any of these nappies need an outter wrap? for me i think it would make more sence to only buy one size birth to potty nappies rather than the other shaped nappies that come in 2 or 3 sizes and require wraps as well, i understand that there is a pocket inside which you stuff to absorb the wee, do you just buy these fleece/hemp/bamboo booster things and slot them inside? im new to this to please bear with me. thanks x

I used pocket nappies from birth and even breast fed poo did not leak. I used wonderoos and fuzzi bunz. U could always have a wrap on over the top if you are worried though.
