We've got tons this year.  I generally stew them then mix them with yoghurt or custard for a quick dessert, or I made some individual crumbles in ramekins which both the children love.  Picked a load more today so need to start again!!

make a apple and blackberry pie!! mmm yum!!! just rang mum and asked her about it. she says to rinse them, bag them up in to 1lb or 0.5Kg weights and pop them in the freezer without cooking them. Once they have defrosted they may go a bit mushy so would be good for cooking in a pie or mixing with yoghurt or breakfast

i've posted in receipe forum but i know you ladies are good with home grown produce. I have loads starting to ripen and never bothered with them before but would really like to do something this year.

So what can i do with blackberries other than eat them whole? can you freeze them? do you have to anything special to them first?
