I have some kooshies AIO and I love them, easy to use and no bulky at all.I didn't have leaks as well (I use a kooshies booster). My chidren were big at birth so instead of buying the 10-22 lb size I bought 22-45,a bit big at the beginning but with the velcro I managed to give a snug fit and it was fine. One of them is a toddler now and still wears the same kooshies without problems.Do you leave the nappy loose between the legs?Is the right size?if is a heavy wetter maybe a booster will help.Sorry I don't know what else can be wrong but my experience is good.

if you like Aio then try the lollipop pop ins they are great and are very snug around the legs, my boys are prem babies and they even hold the mega poops that they do.I've had no leaks yet.

Thanks. I have some swaddlebees wraps which will go ok over the size 2, but plan to get more. I don't really like the LL wraps so will investigate when needed.

If you're planning to use little lambs below the suggested weight guide (of 22-35 lb for size 2) and with a slim baby then I'd highly recommend using different wraps on top until she grows. Ds grew out of the body length of size 1 at 6 months but was only 16 lb ish - the size 2 nappies fit really nicely (and still do) but the wraps are not stiff enough to hold their shape when only secured at the front middle which is what you get when you have to cross over the tabs to make the waist small enough. Save them - they fit perfectly nicely once you're into the weight range. - just expect to need middle sized wraps for that 'between' size 1 & 2 patch.
Ladies here were recommending Motherease airflow wraps at the time - and i would have to agree, i love them. I've got the M/L size for DS who's currently 25lb and on the smallest waist size poppers - but i also got some 2nd hand L velcro ones and they're good too. They're all a bit deeper than the little lamb wraps - means they cope with the occassional terry nappy too when the washing takes too long to dry.

Thanks, I'm so disappointed as i've always wanted to use kooshies as they just seemed nice and slim and pretty looking but have now realised they aren't worth the money, glad i got them second hand and only spend a few pennies on them and not the normal £50 for 5 from new. Kaiya was prem ( 32 weeks ) so at the mo is only 15lb 12oz at 10 months and very skinny which is probably why they gape at legs and leak. I've got some size 2 little lambs on order i'll see how they far when they arrive otherwise i'll look into the ones you suggested.

Yes perfectly normal! Kooshies are absolutely rubbish! They have spent all their budget for years on marketing the nappies, and none whatsoever in improving them! They have plastic outers which are hot and sweaty, and unl;ess your child happens to be the right shape for them, they don't fit snugly, and so leak! You would be better to go for a pocket nappy. Have a look at the p'tits dessous mini-maxi - now that's a nappy and a half! Or if you want to stick with the 2 parters, the Narure Babies Lovables bamboo is a slimmer fittiing nappy then Little Lambs. I only sell tried and recommended nappies made in Europe, and Kooshies will NEVER arrive in my shop!11/9/08 06:40
When Kaiya was first born i used little lambs but found them bulky and really fancied an all in one nappy so went for kooshies but the last few days she's leaked at nursery and has needed 2-3 changes of clothes. I'm thinking of going back to little lambs which is annoying as i've only the size 1 sent and she's now ready for size 2 so got to go and buy them, and i'm disappointed about the kooshies. Is it normal for them to leak? they were second hand which could have been the reason but they've been fine for the last few months then she turned 10 months and they now seem to leak. I don't tumble dry them just line dry. Any advice appreciated.

I was using boosters with them but they still leaked i think it's because Kaiya is so skinny, the 10lb-22lb ones would fit fine round the middle almost the point of the velco tabs touching but there was always a huge gap round her thighs which is where she leaked. I've gone back to little lambs now and have had no problems. I've sold the kooshies on ( very cheaply ) to someone who was prepared to give them ago.
