I use napisan with no problems and wash at 50 degrees ( thankfully my machine lets you choose a temp and time to wash ) once every week i do a 60 degree wash just to make sure all the germs are gone.

I heard napisan is to abrasive and can wreak your nappies. I prewash mine and wash at 60. I went down to 40 for a few washes and lo started to get nappy rash so I went back up again to 60 and cured it. To save money you can do your first washes before the nappies are used at 30, it is only to wash the oils and lubricants out of the fabric they use when weaving the fabric. My machine takes about 3 hours to do a prewash+60!

the hotter you wash, the more bugs you kill. 2 hours sounds like a lot though- you haven't got a plus cycle selcted, have you?? You could try 40C and use a nappy sanitiser like napisan if you like (get the one in the box, not the "vanish" brans one- much cheaper !!

Hi!
I've just got some Bambino Mios today and have just put them on for their first wash on 60 degrees but machine takes over 2 hours!! It says to wash at 60 in the instructions but I'm sure I've heard they can be washed at 40... is this true?
Thanks - any advice appreciated
