It sounds like a detergent build up. That can cause nappies to smell bad and cause rash. Next time you wash them do so as normal, then keep rinsing the nappies till you stop seeing bubbles in the machine.
Once the nappies have been stripped and you are using them again then try this :
When the nappies go in the machine (dirty) do a cold water rinse to stop any smells from setting. Do not add detergetent yet.
Once rinsed add a small amount of detergent, about 1/2 - 1/3 of the amount the manufacturers recommend and wash at 40.

hmmm odd, does he drink plenty of water? you could also try adding lavender oil in the nappy wash as this makes them smell nice and may help to counteract the smell when he pees

fotgot to say he does not have any uti as we got his urine checked and this smell dont happen if we put him in a disposable xx

Hi ladies, I am having prob with my nappies, everytime i take them off they really smell of pneumonia and its so bad it can burn your eyes, took one of this morning from night time and my poor ds has got a red bottom which he never has. I was them in non bio on a 40 and sometimes on a 60. hope someone can help me x






Thanks ladies, he does drink loads, will try washing them and then rinsing them till water runs clear, did think it could be a build up of washing powder but i was not 100% sure xxx
