I think I might have a go at making my own, found a few patterns online and *drumroll* I just realised I have most of the fabrics I need in the flat already. Hopefully my partners family will get me the sewing machine I have been hinting about for my birthday (will be 30 on sunday *shudders
. If not I'll just sew them by hand. I have already made my own washable wipes from fleece and terry so how hard can it be
. Hahaha if you had told me just two years ago I would be doing all this eco stuff I would have laughed out loud

I got some from angeltots.co.uk - only bought 2 to start with, tried them and yes they feel so much nicer than disposables - bought some more and not seen AF since. Honestly - especially if you're already washing nappies - they're no trouble, rinse them out and throw them in with the next nappy wash.

I'm getting the ones from wee notions (via their own website www.weenotions.info as much more range of fabrics) starting with panty liners for freshness as periods haven't resumed since 7mo born yet

I use these pads for a few months (got the ones from Minky) and I have to say that I never will go back to disposables.I feel more comfortable and is not a hassle at all (and I have 2 kids on reusable nappies as well).

I would say that if you dont like tampons then a cup is soooo different. So much more comfortable and easy to use. I love my Femmecup! I dont like pads at all so I havent tried any. However I know someone with a store who has a massive selection www.luxurymoon.co.uk I think there are some reviews on her site too.
I sell cups so if you are interested then let me know and I'll give you my web address.

So after seeing how easy it is to use cloth nappies I am considering getting reusable pads for myself. I can't stand using tampons so I don't think the lunacup and similar products is for me, so I was wondering if anyone here has tried reusable pads? Are they any good? Or am I just mad to consider using them
I am fed up with normal pads as I get a rash from them, so at the moment it's just frustrating.

good for you! I don't get round to getting my sewing machine out even though there's loads I have lined up for it in my head!!
