I have used all three types of LL and I like the cotton ones best, purely for their more generous sizing.
The Microfibre are very very fluffy and soft, but less absorbant than the other types. They dry very fast once washed and stay very fluffy, but I found them to be cut a bit on the small side and ds grew out of his at about 5months, way before 20lbs.
The bamboo are also soft but are more absorbant. These are also cut a bit small and he also grew out of them at about 5 months. These also take longer to dry.
The cotton ones start off soft but get a bit 'crunchy' after a few washes (like bath towels have a tendency to). But they are much more generously sized and ds is still in his size 1's at 13 months and weighing just under 21lb. The 'crunchiness' seems to bother me more than it does him, and a few brisk shakes before hanging out to dry helps to soften the fibres. The cottons are my favourite purely because I've got so much wear out of them.
I only ever use fleece liners. I really didn't like the thought of him sitting in paper liners. The fleece is SO soft and fluffy and I know what I'd rather have next to my bum! Little Lamb fleece liners are the best ones I've found!I didn't get on with the LL wraps at all. I had so many leaks with them that I was changing his vest at almost every nappy change, even when I boosted the nappies. I switched to Motherease wraps and have never had a leak since, even when he's in a nappy overnight for 12+ hours (but I don't use little lambs overnight, I use a seperate bulkier nighttime nappy). I've got about 7 wraps, which I normally change every 2-3 nappy changes. They dry in less than an hour, so you don't need loads of them anyway.

I really liked the size 1 cotton ones but didn't find they lasted as long as the weight guide suggested they should of done. Changed at 6 mths (and only 17lb) to the deeper size 2 nappies because it gets messy if your nappy only comes up to your hips and not your waist, and so then found the (size 2) nappy ok but the wraps a bit too big. Even now at 22 mths (and 25/26 lb) the size 2 nappy tabs still meet in the middle and tbh other wraps that fasten at the sides stay in place better. I'm now trying out some other nappies because again the little lambs are getting too short in the body and ds doesn't seem quite ready to potty train yet.
Have to say the size 1's i had and used from 3-6 months look almost brand new still (very fluffy) - and the 2's i've used for 14 months still seem to be doing ok. Velcro and general stitching is lasting well - it's only really the elastic in the sides and back that has more or less gone - and obviously they're all much less new fluffy too. I wonder how long a nappy is "supposed" to last for ? Those 2's must of each been washed at least 2x a week - that would be at least 120 times through the washing machine !!

I use the cotton ones and love them. I do find they need a good blast in the dryer though as the cotton ones can go a little crispy. I managed to get hold of a bamboo one and a microfibre one and they are better. The microfibre one is really soft so i would go for them. Some people say they are bulky but i've not a had a problem just get a good wrap and they are fine. No leaks definately a nice nappy. Oh and once baby is a little older def go for fleece ( washable ) liners really nice compared to paper ones.

hello.... was just interested to hear views on the little lambs nappies?
i'm due in jan, this will be my first!!
be grateful for any advice x

Hi, I used the LL bamboo and loved them... They are such a great shape nappy and suited my DD's shape very well, she is long and slim. Unfortunately the elastic went in ALL of my size ones and when I tried the size 2's the velcro went on them! So needless to say I was a bit dissapointed. Luckily my local nappynetwork shop were fab and have changed them all for Motherease sandies in bamboo free of charge for me. They are a geat nappy but I much prefer the shape of little lambs, such a shame about the buildquality. PP is right about the wraps too, LL wraps leak A LOT, I use naturebabies now and they are funky as well as functional!!!
