I have a babasling and I love it! My DS was quite small when he was born so it was nice and cosy for him. You can change it round so your LO is in all different positions.......definatley worth a look! x

I love my closer baby carrier! Tricky first couple of times with a new position but so easy once you get the hang of it. It has a breastfeeding position too which wev successfully used. I also have a baby bjorn and a babasling but prefer closer. -

Hi we've got a baby bjorn - it is brilliant! My son is almost 6 months now and I've only just started using his pram, just because he's getting a bit heavy. Hubby still carries him round in the sling when we are going out together though xx

We borrowed a friend's baby bjorn for when Charlie was small - it says up to 26lbs on it, but he's about 20lbs now & I stopped using it a month ago as it pulled on my shoulders as he got heavier. Was great when he was little though. Now we use a LittleLife rucksack carrier as we do a lot of walking. If I want to carry Charlie on my back (only round the house / village - nowhere further afield) I just tie him on using a big piece of material - I learned this when I lived overseas though & don't know how to explain it! My friend has an Ecko / Echo carrier and says it's brilliant. xxx -

i had the closer baby sling with my first, I did like it but did find it a little difficult to put on without a mirror and couldn't use it past 9 months or so- ds ended up at my knees. Think I will find another one to try for my next baby. Dh liked the closer baby one as it was black and quite mascaline, he also din't have a problem getting it on- better spatial awareness! they are so pricey though so good to get a recomendation or even better borrow before you buy!

Hi, can anyone recommend a sling? This is my third baby, with the first two I had one of those baby carriers, the type you get off the shelf in mothercare, which we never really used much. This time round I am going to have an almost 7 yr old and a 4.5 yr old and what with all the swimming classes and beavers and after school clubs etc I really thing I need a sling that is a bit more geared to baby wearing. I am a bit scared of a sling that I need to tie up with complicated knots as I am worried I will do it wrong and drop baby, but all recommendations more than welcome!

Hi, I have a moby wrap ready for when baby is newborn and the ellville woven wrap for when its a bit bigger. try www.slingmeet.co.uk to see if there are any groups near you, they can advise on the best sling for you and also usually have a library of slings that you can hire for a month at a time to try them out, my local one charges £2 per month, so could potentially save you a lot if you got the wrong sling. You also get people who can offer a two hour consultation and bring different types of slings to your home to find the best for you, the lady local to me charges £30 for a pregnancy consultation and I think £25 for a two hour consulation if baby has arrived.
