    hi all

this is my second baby due 25th november my little girl is 8mths old and a little star. i live just outside ayr and have to agree that women in ayr dont need maternity clothes. Last year when i was preg with my first you could get clothing everywhere but for some reason they pulled all the maternity clothes from the high street shops, thank god we have a specialist maternity wear shop in the sandgate.

i am due my 20wk scan on the 10th july think this time its a boy keep my fingers crossed one of each would be nice but it doesnt matter as long as baby is healthy.my afp test came back as low risk thank god as i'm now 37

    Hi lindaloo1974.

Glad to hear amnio wasn't too bad because if need be will be getting I done to.  take it you were born in 74?  If so that makes us the same age.  My birthday is 2nd October & the squirt is due (EDD) 27th nov so I will be 34 by then. this is my first so I cannot wait till I am past my 12 weeks & my first scan so I know everything is ok.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Was planning on going to Glasgow shopping today but as the heavens have decided to open will just be putting of off to another day. Oh well hopefully weather will be good at the weekend hopping to get away up north, so fingers crossed.

    Take care

    hi there to everyone

ive just had the amnio done as my dp and i felt like we needed to know as my results came back 112 to 1 which scared the bejeesus out of me, however im glad that ive had it done as its put part of my mind at rest of course still going to worry until i get the results, but it certainly wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, so keep your fingers crossed for me girlies, cheers xx

    Hi Louise,

Unfortunately at the queen Mums we only get one scan so I had that already at week 14.  Currently 18 +1.  I am going to trya nd persuade the midwife when I see her on the 9th May to send me for another scan, so fingers crossed on that.

I've decided that I don't want to find out the sex of the baby and I'll just have a yellow bump until the 29th Sept.

    Happy shopping.

    Linda x

    Hi to you too Loppy-Lou,

Hope all is going well for you also. Due on 27th Nov, so not much between us.  Are you going to ask the sex at the scan?  I am not sure 1 min I think I will, the next I woun't. Not normally so indecisive,  think the squirt is zapping all my brain power.  Keep talking total garbage as well.

Going to Glasgow shopping with mum tomorrow to get some maternity trousers for work because cannot get anything in Ayr.

Hope all is going well for you.  I am only tired( & becoming thicker by the day) so shouldn't really complain

    Take care for now

    Louise

    Hi to  all,

I am from Ayr & this is my first pregnency. approx 10 weeks just now. Just got scan date through & its not until 29th may, seems life a life time away.

I have been having the same problem with maternity clothing in Ayr.  We have New Look, Next, Dorothy perkins ect & none of them stock maternity clothes, all you are told is you need to go to Glasgow or East Kilbride.  Maybe women n Ayr don't get pregnant.  Thank god for Primark at least when I get bigger I can go & buy larger tops there.

Hope all goes well for all, just looking forward to getting past 12 week.

Thanks Linda - I hadn't thought of New Look and there's one in Galashiels so I will have a look in there. Day to day clothes aren't too bad as I work from home (it's the reason video phones will never catch on - no-one knows if I'm working in my jimjams!), but I've got a wedding to go to in June so I'll need something decent by then.

Borders General seem to be great. I had a nucal scan at 12 weeks and have my 20 week scan on May 6th. I think they are not as busy as some of the city hospitals as they cover a wide area with a low population. I don't fancy the dash along country lanes if I need to get there quickly though.

I'm due on the 29th Sept.  Glad to hear the Queen Mums is good - everyone I've seen so far has been really nice.

I'm really excited about this and talk to lo all the time and stroke my bump, lol everyone thinks I'm mad.  I also have the odd panic as this is all new to me.

Thanks! Its hard work having two wee ones though no matter how many you have had!!!! I had both my dd and my ds at the Queen mums and although a bit run down to look at the staff were fabulous.  They dont tell you the sex but like you its part of the surprise when you give birth. Hope you have a good a pregnancy as me. I went into labour when i was 5 days overdue. When are you all due then???? Feel free to ask me anything about pregnancy lol!!!! I will try and help! x

    Hi,

Charlie congrats on the new addition to your family.  All us firstimers will be asking you lots of questions, lol..

QM don't tell you the sex of the baby - just their policy, although saying that I don't really want to know, like the idea of it being a surprise.

Next MW appt on the 9th May so I'm going to try and get another scan - due to my age and I had some bleeding early on in pg. Fingers crossed she's in a good mood!

    Linda x
