sorry I meant Kerrie not Kerry.
Hi Kerry and everyone else,
just wanted to say (before I go to bed- am trying not to stay up so late) that I had a lovely welcome on the DIN first timers site so will be going on there again - and on here.
Hi Jane,
Welcome and congratulations!! I am 39 and expecting my first LO in November.... I do post in the DiN forum but have also become a more regular visitor in here as I draw comfort from being around the ladies in here and feel I can learn a lot - especially from those who have been through this all before.
I found out last week I am having a blue bump and am very excited about it. Can't believe how quickly the time is passing...I am due on Nov 5th which is just 18 weeks tomorrow!!
Look forward to getting to know you on the forums,
All the best,
Kerrie
xx
Hi Ellen, seen you around in HB not long for you now you must be getting excited. Are you all prepared?
Karen 17+1
Hi all,
I know some fo you have seen me around. I'm from DIJuly and they are great. I'm defiantley one of the older ones though. I find that my problem is that i have done a lot of research and had two boys before. I'm 41 now, my boys are 18 and 12 yrs. this one is a girl yippeeee and my Dp is 50 and baby will be his first (he is so excited).
I find the younger or first time mums talk aobut stuff that i already know and i don't panic about but also that they take the mw and hospital staffs word as gospel just like i did before. I think age empowers you more and you don't just do as you are told. I like the homebirth forum cos those women have educated themselves in order to make the decision you have to really cos it goes against the normal procedure.
The posts that i kill are cos i take something more serioulsy or deeply than the others intend for it to be, but maybe that comes with age. Maybe its cos i'm ultra boring i don't know. well i'll check n here moreoften now i think.
I am 38+1 so only 13 days to go!
Have a good day all
I'm just glad I didn't have my first until I was 28 because I'm sure its addisctive lol! I don't know how many children I would have had if I'd started younger, I think once I had one baby I thought 'ooh I quite like this' lol! I did have an age gap of 4 years between baby 1 & 2 though so I suppose it can't be 'that' addictive. I keep telling everyone this is definitely the last as we have no more room but I'm convinced once this one's born I'm going to be broody. OH would not be best pleased, I think he would have stopped at one but I always manage to convince him. I don't think its any of his business anyway pmsl!!!!
If your mad at 4+ what does that make the lady I meet the other day in her 40's with 13 children on her 21st pregnancy?
Ah yes! - but DP is 15 years older than me - so he'd be 71!!! Ewwwww!
Des OConnor managed it didn't he?
LOL - that'll be me and you still coming on here in about 10 years then Selwyn....
I'm a late starter - only had DD the day before my 40th so ( with #2 on the way) I'll have to keep at it to fullfill my big family dreams. Darn these pesky men for hiding away until the last minute haha!
I had lunch with a man yesterday who had 6 kids ranging from 20 to 4 - said its easier than two kids as they all entertain each other and babysit etc! Mind you - I'd have to still be at it at 56 at that rate haha!
LOL - I know what you mean, I am convinced that once I've had this one I'll be wanting another. Only problem being that we don't have space for this one so goodness only knows where another one would go hehe!
Only joking. All ok as sat with a small glass of wine, watching Dr Who from sat night.
I think big family's are coming back, although thats it for me now, no more kiddies. I suppose 4 is enough for anyone. Good luck to you ladies with the rest of your pregnancy's. It's such a special time, it's mad but I still feel broody. Don't think it ever goes away. Jo x
Hi Karen! I don't think it's just cos you have 4 kids - I keep being told I'm mad just cos of my age and the age gap!
lol don't be paranoid!
Hope you're all ok ladies
Hi Jo & Janey, I'm preg with my 4th too & since I found out I have been coming across more & more ladies on here with 4 or more children which is nice as whenever I tell anyone I'm expecting my 4th they ask if I'm completely mad - even my mw! Makes me feel much more 'normal'. Hope you enjoy it here in OMTB x
and mine too janeydee, I'm really paranoid now. lol
Oh I see, well that answers my question then!!
hello, yes Ive managed to kill three conversations with my input on other forums, so you're not on your own! I'm Jayne, 35 with baby number 4. Bit of an age gap for me, my other kids are 17, 16 and 14. I'm 17 + 5 . How about you?
