Aww, well I guess that's good news then - hope the lotions and potions do help!  It's really miserable when you have itchyness.  I forgot about the aloe vera - I swear by that stuff as well, can't believe I didn't think to suggest that to you!  anyway, hope you're soon feeling loads better with it!

    Hi all
Just back from hospital, saw a skin specialist and she thinks it looks like a type of eczema which can happen at this time of pregnancy, although she said it may not necessarily be caused by the pregnancy.  Have been given loads of different creams and lotions plus piriton and got to go back in 2 weeks to see how it is.
Just glad that I have been given something to hopefully ease the itching!

Had a very bad heat rash back in June, to the point where it blistered all up my arms. Went to the drs but they just gave me calamine lotion and aqueous cream - useless. My mum gave me some pure aloe gel, did the job marvellously. Took the itching away and dried up the blisters. Would highly recommend it. I believe she got it from a health food place. You should see the doctor for diagnosis 1st tho, I guess!

I wonder if it's a heat rash?  It's certainly been warm enough lately.  Not sure whether you can use it in pregnancy so you'll need to check with a pharmacist, but I always find that Eurax lotion/cream is much better than calamine.  I always find calamine helps when you first apply it but as it dries makes it feel much worse.  Eurax is much nicer and does seem to work better - but it's also a lot more expensive!  My SIL had a really bad heat rash one year and I recommended it to her but she wouldn't take my advice.  But then she got together with my bro and he recommended it so she used it and she raved about it afterwards! Go figure!  Like I say though, you'll need to check if it can be used in pregnancy first!  Hope this helps.  xxx

I had a rash at about that time and all I was told was put on canimile lotion and its your hormones - not very helpful. It did calm down eventually after about 3 weeks - but I agree it was agony and so irritating, I found that Boot expert nipple cream help with the rash on my boobs but other wise nothing helped - perhaps a cool shower, but all the other creams were useless. Sorry not really very helpful - but I know how annogising it can be

Hope you feel a bit better soon

    Hugs Karen

I am almost 17 weeks and for the last couple of weeks I have got the most annoying itchy rashes all over my body.  Just wondering if anyone has got the same thing.  I am at hosp on Tues so will ask MW then.  Have been putting calamine lotion on at night and HC45 cream on in the day, but the heat makes it worse and I just can't stop scratching - IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!
