LOL, that made me laugh.  No worries about the bump thing, it could have been worse, you could have said it was pink! Hahaha!!!!  Aww, bless your little one for getting you up though

I spent the night on the settee last night and although I woke up briefly a couple of times, I wasn't in pain and I've got up ok this morning too.  Obviously it's not 'better' but it's much better than it was yesterday so I'm much happier today! Yay me!

And we've had a spate of babies arriving on here which is lovely too.  Here's hoping Dadsangel can give us some news soon too!   Hope you're all ok ladies anyway.

PS - I'll reply to your email later Mrs Piskie, just didn't get round to it yesterday - sorry!

ooops sowwie Kathryn! It's Friday, I've been at work all week and what's left of what brain I had is now officially preggy territory!

Funny story.....forgot to set my alarm for this morning.  Was woken up at my usual time by someone jabbing around in my belly.  It was almost like he was banging on the ceiling and yelling 'Wake up, Mummy!"

Have a great weekend everyone - my DH comes home on Monday yayyyyyyy xx

Morning ladies, haven't really been on here for a few days so I have a bit to catch up on I think.  Jayne, i'm glad to say there's no-one like that on the class we went to on Tuesday, but maybe we were all to quiet and polite, I'll see how this weeks goes.  We should be doing the stages of labour followed by a delivery suite tour and she'll be showing us the forceps and things.  She showed us the epidural needle this week which was bad enough!   Yes, another coffee beginning of November sounds good to me - it was 10.30am wasn't it?

Lillylala - I don't know about going strange at the end of my pregnancy, I think I'm strange most of the time hehe!  Are you sleeping any better?  I'm going to sleep on the sofa tonight because I've woke up in so much pain today it's unreal.  We recently had a new mattress and went for a memory foam one - which was great to begin with, but now I wake up and there's such a massive hole in it where I sleep (cos of all the extra weight no doubt) that I think I'm getting stuck in it and finding it harder to turn over than it should and I think that's making my problem worse.  So, enough is enough, I am just going to stay down here tonight and see how I am tomorrow.

I'm glad that you're blooming Mrs Piskie - long may it continue for you.  However, I do have to pull you up on one thing..... mine's a blue bump! :-)  I wanted a yellow one but Smudge was having none of it and couldn't wait to show his bits off.  lol!!!!!

Well I guess I'd better carry on catching up, I haven't updated the due list for ages so there's probably loads of ladies to be updated on there.  Hugs to you all and hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Morning ladies. I'm not superwoman just stupid woman I think lol. I feel quite poorly actually. I was in my office yesterday morning and couldn't cope. The server was down aswell so I went home 'to work from home' and just lay on the bed with the window open. Had about an hour but I tell you what it did the trick. Felt a bit better when I got up so had some tea and toast then carried on working. Finished early to home cook a decent tea for everyone, and went to antenatal class. Met a pair of forceps (hideous) discussed my biggest fear of an emergency c-section, listened to that woman again who knows EVERYTHNG, (well, she would, it's her first ? and her sister had a baby in June blah blah blah...even though her sister had a baby in June (did I forget to mention that?) her sister had or experienced absolutely everything going, well you know she only had it in June.....) omg Anyway felt worse after that. Had a bath, some paracetomol and went to bed. Up every two hours again and feel drained again today. So no driving now for the rest of the week, and really must just get certain things done today ready for my replacement (who by the way can';t start until November 10th, so no hand over period, then will only be taking on half of my job, which makes me feel smug and indespensible on one hand, but peeved I have so much to get done when I get back) How miserable do I sound??lol I really should stop moaning and thank my lucky stars !!

Oh the woman who's sister had a baby in June said that emergency c-sections aren't that bad, so I've nothing to worry about. And that her sister's baby was also transverse like mine is and that's nothing to worry about either. And that her sister also had a really long and traumatic labour (much longer and more traumatic than anyone else's in the whole world) and that wasn't anything to worry about either.

Kathryn, week commencing 3rd November, fancy another coffee? same place same time?

As for finishing early, it's definately a no go. It's my own fault, I have committed appointments in every single day now until I leave. Just got to get on with it and stop moaning!! Mrs piksie - mines a yellow bump too like Kathryn. I'm 34 + 1 weeks, and have three other children, ds age 17 (will be 18 in December )dd age 'not so sweet' 16 (will be 17 in december - I know two in december v. bad planning) and ds who is 15. Ahh, poor ds failed his first driving test on Monday - he is gutted. Never mind. Lilly lala I get like that sometimes over babies on the telly! Its that C & G advert where the babies are all giggling in their high chairs that sets me off laughing then crying at the same time - v. sad! I also keep taking my babies clothes out of the cupboard and smelling them? Washed with fairy non bio gel and fairy softner, again ...sad....oh well must push off. Catch you all soon , take care xx

Cornishpiskie, was reading about you looking at your baby's clothes hangin up & remembering when I was pregnant with my 1st, my mum had bought a lovely white snowsuit to bring baby home from hospital & I kep holding it in my arms like you hold a baby saying to my OH 'look there's going to be a real baby in this soon' and getting all emotional. I also remember going on maternity leave & taking to watching the Teletubbies in the mornings & crying everytime I saw the baby that is the sunshine, I think everytime I saw a baby or baby related stuff on TV I cried lol!. Tonight I have been watching home birth diaries on mybirth.tv & crying every time a baby is born, now I can't sleep & I'm constantly drinking milkshake - I always go a bit strange towards the end of pregnancy. (only 7 weeks left!)

lol Kathryn - DH was playing with it at mum's, he seemed to take a liking to it I think I have the King of Wrigglearses in my belly, he's been fidgeting all day, at one point it felt like he was doing the twist in there! DH has gone and got 5 CDs, 60 years of Disney.  He reckons Bubs is wriggling cos he wants to hear the Disney music.  Soppy old git

Have you got those needles clicking, missus? Hurry up and finish so we can see a pic of what you've knitted.

I feel great today (sorry lol), the past few weeks I've just been tired all the time but something has changed this week and I feel like I have so much more energy and feel disgustingly healthy. I can't stopped smiling, just feel so serene and happy. I guess this is what the 'blooming' thing is all about.  Long may it last!

Jayne how are you today hun? Have you slowed down yet? Sorry, preggy brain - do you know if it's a boy or a girl? I know Kathryn's bump is yellow.

Hope you are both well and hope you get a better night's sleep tonight Kathryn xx

Hi all - Jayne I honestly don't know how you're coping hun, you should be slowing down now - no wonder you're feeling so tired!  Definitely go home after your scan AND take a weekend off!  Don't worry about replying to my text because I really just wanted to make sure you were ok and now I know you are, so that's one less thing for you to worry about doing!  Glad your class went ok. I phoned up last week not expecting to get on one now having left it so late, or being told off for leaving it so late maybe, but I was wrong, she was lovely and we're booked in for a series of three classes starting tomorrow night.  We also have the waterbirth class  booked already and then a tour of delivery suite the day after that is now booked as well.  I'll be sick of the place! Hehe!!!!

Aww Mrs Piskie, I think it'll be lovely playing with your old Play School (come on be honest, you'll be playing with it and pretending your lo is.....).  I wish I had something like that but I don't even have any of the kids stuff for this one to 'inherit'.  And how lovely is it when you've hung the clothes up.  I've been out with my old neighbour tonight and she came back here for a bit afterwards and I took her up to show her the cot and some of our clothes and it started all of the excitement off again!  Oh, and I've finally got round to picking up my knitting again so now I've almost finished the back of the trousers at least (only had one leg bit done before so I did well today!).  Hopefully I'll finish that section tomorrow and then I can start the front of the legs, if I am good and get down to it this week I should hopefully be able to start the jacket at the weekend!  Then my baby might at least have a pram suit to wear to come home from hospital cos he's gonna be very cold otherwise!

Take care of yourselves anyway! Speak soon.  xxx

Awwww Jaynee, you poor thing.  Is there absolutely no way you could finish earlier? I have just the one planned trip away before I go off on Mat Leave and it's an overnighter.  Luckily the colleague I'm going with is a real sweetheart and quite protective of me, so I'm not worried.  Not too happy that it has to be a week when DH is home, but can't be helped.

Glad the class went well for you, we have ours on 10th November. Never done anything like this before so it's all going to be very new. I'm starting to think about the birth now and getting scared, but I guess that's normal.  Just worked out I have 9 weeks left at work eeek!!!

I still think you're Wonderwoman in disguise xx

omg I'm back struggling again. So tired. So very tired. Can't sleep for more than two hours at a time before my hips hurt. So I turn, drop off if I'm lucky and then again two hours later in agony. I just overdid it again at the weekend after another hectic week at work. I've just got to slow down. I might take next weekend off completely. Or, after my 34 week scan on Friday, go home and rest. Theres just so much to do still at work, I'm stressing even when I'm resting. I don't know. Sorry Ive not replied to your text Kathryn, I will get round to it honest! I'm in my office now but have a meeting att 11 am and then driving down to Harrow for a meeting this afternoon, and all day tomorrow. So for the next three weeks until I finish, Ive only got a couple of days where I'm based in Willenhall so if I'm not on much, don't worry, there will be plenty of time when I'm off! Mrs Piksie - I love driving and after a coup[le of days on maternity leave I guarentee I will be bored and itchi9ng to get behind the wheel again. I'll wind down gradually knowing me. Oh well sorry to grumble, glad you are all ok. Kathryn you made me laugh with the 'there's a baby in my belly ' moment! Oh yes the class - went well actually. Of course I was the only one on number four as everyone else was on the first, but I'm glad I went as I did learn quite a lot, and so much made sense when I think back. And there's always the one youngish woman who knows EVERYTHING. lo anyway, must get back to work, catch you all soon, take care xx

I don't know how you do it.  If I was in your shoes I'd be grumpy, whinging and tired all the time and sat on my arse doing nothing lol good for you hun, you're an example to all of us

We're having the garage sale in 2 weeks' time, on the Saturday - what's left is going to the boot sale the day after, along with everything else.  We've just about finished the sorting and chucking, just a couple of boxes left to sort, I'll do that in the week.

We put Bubs' stuff in his cabinet yesterday and hung his little clothes in his wardrobe, ready for me to wash and iron when I go on maternity leave. When we'd hung them up, DH and I just stood there looking at them, holding hands, and I'm not ashamed to say I cried, it was so emotional, it made it all seem that bit more real

We went round to my mum's for tea yesterda - she texted in the day and said that cos we were busy, she'd cook tea for us.  What a star! Had a lovely meal and afterwards she brought down my Fisher Price Play School that she'd kept for all these years - it's 34 years old, I was 6 when I got it as a reward for being brave when I broke my arm! It's in fab nick and I'm so pleased that Bubs will get to play with something I played with. Gawd I'm getting emotional again so I'm off for a shower and work!

Hope your day isn't too painful, take care and make sure you get some rest xx

Well you've exhausted me just reading that!  I hope your garage sale went well.  Last night we went up to bed after the X Factor results show so I'm guessing it must have been about 11.30pm(ish) when we went to sleep.  At 10 to 1 I woke up, by 2am I was in so much pain trying to get comfortable and just feeling so generally uncomfortable and worried I was going to wake hubby up that I decided to come downstairs.  Alex (youngest ds) brought his quilt down for me and helped me get everything set up so I had my drink of water and anything else close by.  I put tv on so that I could watch that while I didn't feel too tired.  He came downstairs properly at about 3.30 or 4am and curled up on the chair.  We watched tv until about 5am at which point I knew I really needed to try and get some sleep so we switched the tv off.  It was some time later that I eventually dropped off and slept untl just before 8am so I had somewhere in the region of 2.5 hours.  Then hubby got up and then I got another hour or so in before I eventually woke up and stayed up around 10.30am.  I'm exhausted now.  Why is it that the night times are always the worst?????  Otherwise I'm feeling fine still, so, SPD and tiredness aside, I'm having a great pregnancy.    Have to go out in a bit cos we promised to go for lunch with my MIL and FIL but at least I don't have to cook.  Suppose I'd better go and get dressed though.  Hope you all have a lovely Sunday - weather is looking good which is a bonus.  Speak to you all later!

OMG it's Sunday already and we're still clearing my stuff out!!!!!

It's taking so long as I decided to have a 'garage sale' day, where I'm asking all my crafting friends round to basically buy everything off me cheap. They are spreading the word to their friends etc etc so hopefully we'll get shot of a lot of it and won't have to lug so much to the boot sale. I decided to do 'Booty Bags' for £1 each, and they are proving fiddly as hell to do.  I'm hopeful they'll sell though, as they are absolute bargains considering what's in them. (Maybe I should have called them 'Bounty Bags' lol).

Yesterday morning we went to the hospital, DH had an appointment to have his eyes scanned.  A couple of months back they thought he had glaucoma but he got the all clear on that, so they're....erm....keeping an eye on him...so to speak.

We then went to my mum's, where DH cleared her loft out for her as she's having insulation put in, and then we went for a Morrisons breakfast.  Yum yum! We worked on the craft clearance job for about 6 hours yesterday until X Factor started - by which time I'd rather surprisingly had enough.  Funny that, I'm sure it was just a coincidence

Working on clearing more stuff today but it won't be as bad as the Booty Bags are done and it's now just a case of moving and sorting and chucking out. Will be glad when it's finished, am sick of it!! Am starting to wish my hobby had been the same as DH's - he's a real movie buff and he's getting shot of about 180 DVDs.  Much easier to box up ready for sale than crafting stuff!

Woke up this morning with a real bellyache but I think it was the Chinese from last night rather than baby, so no worries lol.  I am making sure I have lots of rests, and DH is doing all the heavy stuff. He's been fab, he hasn't moaned once, although we agreed that if there wasn't a few hundred quid's worth in selling the crafting stuff, we would have both preferred to have dumped the lot!

Hope your weekend is going good and you're managing to get some rest. How nice that your DH came home, even if they're working, it's nice to have them in the house isn't it? xx

LOL - I have nothing on my plate - I'm just forgetful!  I'm glad you had a good night last night and that you feel better for it.  I took my laptop to bed last night and chatted to one of my friends until about midnight.  By then I was getting tired and I'm glad to say that I then managed to sleep until just before hubby's alarm went off so must have had a good 5.5 hours sleep!  As for the SPD you just kinda cope with it as best you can because there's not really anything else you can do.  I have good days and bad days with it and as I'm 32 weeks today I know that I should hopefully only have 8 weeks to go!  I'm glad to hear you've got half a day today but something tells me you'll be working harder when you get home than when you're at work. Oooohhhhh hubby's just walked back in!  He went out to work but there's apparently been a big power failure at New Street station so he's come back to work from home!

I had one of those 'OMG there's a baby in my belly - a real one, and it's mine!' moments last night.  You'd think I'd have realised sooner I guess but it just sort of hit me when I felt him move once in bed.  Does anyone else still get those?

Well, hope everyone's ok today and as it's Friday, hope you all enjoy your last day at work and have a fantastic weekend! xxxxx

Oh sweetie, please don't worry about it - you have far more on your plate than i do!!!! Am fine now and had a good night's sleep, didn't wake up once for a wee, so feel much better!

I hope the gym/birthing ball brings you some relief, I can't imagine what it must be like for you with the spd.  It would really get me down, yet you seem to rise above it and be so positive - kudos to you

Am on a half day today, coming home at 2 and DH and I are doing some more clearing out of my crafting studio (posh words for a spare room I did crafting in lol) and getting it ready to make into the nursery. We're selling everything as I won't have time for it anymore, plus my priorities have obviously changed now.  We've closed the business down, which to be honest is a relief.

I hope the painkillers at least start to kick in for you today. Yes, take it easy - you won't be able to after Smudge is here!

JayneeDee what if I met you ladies halfway somewhere? That would make it a lot easier for you, unless you particularly wanted to come to Cornwall. Let me know and we'll sort something

Well Im off for a shower and work, won't be so bad today as it's only a half one.

Take care ladies, look after yourselves and your bumps xx

Aww hun!  What a terrible day you've had and I feel really, really bad because it wasn't till I just came on here and saw your post that I realised I was meant to text you back!!!!!  I had gone to visit one of the mums from DID and to be honest I thought I'd only be there for an hour or so but we rabbitted on for four whole hours and by the time I got back home, opened my post and parcels that I'd had come, I totally forgot!  I'm really, really sorry!    But apart from all the rubbish stuff like your pincushion episode and broken tooth, at least you had the really great news about lo doing so well!  And hopefully you're being spoilt rotten as we speak by your wonderful hubby!

My gym ball is now inflated so I'm using that a couple of times a day to try to help with the SPD and turning Smudge the right way round!  Was in a bit of pain today to be honest but I have no real plans for tomorrow so I think another day of rest might be on the cards, although I wouldn't mind trying to get out and have a bit of a walk if it's nice.

Jayne, how are you hun?  Hope you're ok!  Jennyfour1 - you haven't posted for a while on here either - how are you doing?  And to all of the other ladies on this forum, hope you're all keeping ok too!

Just a quickie - had the day from hell.  Well, not really, but you know how when it's one thing going wrong after another and eventually you just snap? Well I had one of those, although I've calmed down now.

DH is cooking dinner then it's a bath and an early night for me - had a crap night last night; woke up with a nightmare and couldn't get back to sleep, I've been poked with a needle at the mw/doc's so many times today I feel like a bloody pincushion and then I broke a tooth and couldn't get a dentist to take me on the nhs so ended up going to the dental hospital

Just silly stuff really and the good news is Bubs is doing great, measuring spot on and thriving, so I'm really happy about that

Right, the chef/butler/personal slave (delete as applicable) just rang the gong for dinner so I'm outta here.

Hope you are ok and not in too much pain and not too knackered xx

Hiya, she hasn't booked me in for a scan yet.  She's seeing me again in two weeks and of course he could have moved by then, but if not she said she'd then see me again at 36 weeks and if he's still in the same position will refer me for the scan at that point so chances are I could be anything between 36 and 37 weeks when I get the scan.  I'll be 32 weeks on Friday so lots of time yet for him to change his position.  I've got a gym ball but it needs inflating so we need to go and get a foot pump.  Had I known this when we were by Argos yesterday I'd have nipped in and got one - hey ho!  Glad I didn't have to go to Manchester though!  I honestly don't know how you do it.  I'd be shattered!

As for going to Cornwall, well it would be great (only 3 hours though?  It takes me that long to get to North Devon!) the only worry I have is you going into labour given the conversation about your dates! LOL!!!!!  I think that the journey would be ok as long as we stopped off once or twice to have a walk/toilet break and if we do go I'll just make sure I take painkillers beforehand because I started taking Paracetamol again on Monday and although I was still in loads of pain yesterday and this morning when I got up, having a rest this morning coupled with the regular pain killers seems to have really helped!  Hope the class goes well tonight, my m/w assistant went through the birth plan section in my notes and she said that I really should have booked onto the classes for Mark's sake so I might ring up now and see whether we're too late.  I also need to book onto a delivery suite tour if we're not too late for that!  Hey ho!  Let me know how it goes!

hello ladies, (3rd time lucky - this forum keeps kicking me off, I was telling Kathryn yesterday). Sounds like you had a very romantic night Mrs Piksie...you certainly can tell you're newlyweds...as I wistfully remember the days when we could both fit into the bath!

Kathryn, what date is your 36 week scan? cause my baby is breech/transverse too (or she may have moved actually) I 've been told to use a squat ball to keep my posture straight and the all fours position is good to let baby have more room to manouvre.

Well 33 weeks today - got my first antenatal class tonight, looking forward to it. It was lovely to see you yesterday Kathryn, it's so nice to be able to discuss everything and get to know someone who is in a simialr situation and share stories etc. Looking forward to meeting other pregnant ladies tonight in similar situation! Touching on the bounty threads discussion we had - I missed a right shin dig on Bounty yesterday in different forum. ....Better things to do springs to mind......17 days left at work - yey!- no driving today. Had to go to Manchester airport after I had met you yesterday for a meeting at 4 pm. Didn't take too long though but was shattered last night. DD cooked tea, bless but the kitchen was a mess. Nevermind, can't have it all I s'pose!

Kathryn, are you up for a drive down to see Mrs Piksie early November when Ive finished work? Not sure if sitting in a car for 3 hours is good for your spd - you can always have a lie down in the back xx

Scrabble, is that what they call it now?!   Aww, sounds like a lovely night in for you both though.  You can definitely tell you're newlyweds! Hehe!!!!

I would imagine that the painkillers will have kicked in properly by tomorrow because it always seems to take a day or so before they really become effective, I have no plans for tomorrow that I can remember so I think I will make the most of it and have a rest, might have a pyjama day and watch rubbish tv.  Oh, the nesting thing, when I got back after meeting Jayne I unloaded the shopping I'd done and when I got to the bleach that I'd bought, I bleached the kitchen sinks and am surprised to report that I actually got the urge to do more!  Pity I didn't have time.......   So, I might also do a bit of cleaning tomorrow but I'm liking the sound of a day of rest hehe!

Oh, I will also try to get on all fours and rock backwards and forwards to try and encourage Smudge to move to head down - you can tell it's a boy! LOL!!!!  I'm hoping that if I manage to get onto all fours, I will then be able to get back up again!

Hello Girlies, glad your meet went well :-) I enjoyed my half a bacon sarnie and donut, thank you

Kathryn I'm sorry you're in so much pain, fingers crossed the painkillers kick in very soon for you.  What happened in Sainsburys? Are you ok? I don't know what breech oblique is either but my guess is the same as yours.  I reckon I'd ask for a CS too....

Jayney that sounds good, I'll do lunch for you both and a cream tea

Just had a lovely Radox bath with DH, we figured we won't both fit in it for much longer so we'd make the most of it.  It was bliss, very relaxing and lovely to lie there and chat  He was singing to Bubs and feeling him move, it was so sweet, brought tears to my eyes I'm 25 weeks on Thursday and have a MW appointment - she was away on her honeymoon when I was 24 weeks.  Last time I had a tiny bit of protein in my wee and a UTI, plus the doc thinks I'm a bit anaemic, so we'll see how that all goes. I must have used all my energy nesting at the weekend as I'm shattered now.  DH and I are going to bed to play Scrabble, but I have a feeling I'll fall asleep mid-game...DH is upstairs now putting some baby albums he downloaded, onto his ipod so they can be playing while we play Scrabble.  He's gone all gooey about this baby business

Take care both of you xx
