Well I did get back to bed this morning but not for long and I didn't sleep properly - I did get some sleep but mostly just dozed.  But I was resting and that's the main thing.  I was going to get myself dressed and go out somewhere but I had to wait for some washing to finish as I rather cleverly put all of my maternity trousers in the wash at the same time... d'oh!!!!  But I decided that in fact it might do me more good to have a day of proper rest and then hopefully my SPD might settle a little bit.  Hopefully my friend is coming round tomorrow and we might go shopping so at least I'll get out and about then.

And I know what you mean about daddy being the fun parent and mummy being the strict one, I think that's what it'll be like here.  I guess it usually is the way cos it's the mum that is with the baby all of the time and therefore does most of the disciplining.  They'll still love us just as much though I'm sure!

I hope you can get back to bed! I'm back at work now so I can't do that but I just keep telling myself I'm only at work for another 3 months then I can concentrate on Bubs when he arrives.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't know how you ladies cope when you already have other children to take care of while you're pregnant. I must just be a wuss lol

DH is grinning from ear to ear as this is the first week he's been able to feel Bubs moving when he puts his hand on my tummy.  He's been talking and singing to him and telling him bad jokes.  The funny thing is, when DH is away working, I tell Bubs that daddy will be home soon and Bubs seems to understand and gets excited, as he starts doing cartwheels. So cute!

Next time DH is home, we're sorting out the nursery. He's soooooo excited and I think that because Bubs is a boy, DH is going to have a second childhood.  I can see how it's going to be - Mummy will be the boring one, doing the ABCs and 123s and discipline, whilst Daddy will be the fun one who wants to play all the time lol

LOL, sounds like a taste of things to come on the sleeping front, I've been like that for a bit now too.  Not much fun when you have to then get ready for work, two or three mornings this past week it happened to me.  At least now I'm finished there I can see my youngest off to school (he'd just keep falling back to sleep if I didn't get up with him) I can maybe go back to bed for a bit - my eldest still has to get up for work but at least he gets himself up and ready.  Aww, ours is a boy as well, I don't think I'd make a very good pink mum so that's a good thing. Hope you've caught up on the sleep now anyway!

Good morning...I wad to get up for a wee at 4am and can't get back to sleep grrrr

Glad to hear everything went well and that they spoiled you rotten, you deserve it! Sounds like you had some lovely pressies, I'm so pleased for you! I know what you mean about the champagne - we had some bottles given to us at the wedding but as I am hoping to BF, we're saving them for the Christening.

My bump is blue, sorry I thought I said? Duh, preggy brain lol. We found out at 13/14 weeks via the CVS, we wanted to know ASAP as we're so impatient.  Plus of course it helps when you plan baby stuff.

I felt really grotty last night, nothing in particular but just felt very uncomfortable. I'm 21 weeks so obviously don't have a huge bump yet, but I found last night I was struggling to get up when I sat down as my tummy was pulling.  Think Bubs is having a growth spurt as the ligaments had been pulling all day.

Good idea about the bump photos, I'll get DH to take one later.

I really should go back to bed and try and get some more sleep but I'm wide awake.  Oh well, all good training for when Bubs arrives!

Aww, thank you!  Actually today is just getting better and better for me!  I had a lovely last day, they really made it special for me and the gifts I've had are fantastic.  Lots too many to list really but lots of baby stuff, photo frames, a keepsake box and then leaving presents for me too on the grounds that I was actually leaving permanently.  The office collection got me a beautiful white gold necklace and earring set from Samuels.  And my boss got me a bottle of vintage Moet and Chandon which will come in very nicely indeed for when the baby is born!  I was quite sad and had a few wibbles but I wasn't too bad thankfully.

I'm glad to hear that your scan went so well.  Did you find out what you're having or is it still a yellow bump?  Oohh and are you taking photos of your bump every so often?  I never did it before but I've been taking them every four weeks since 16 weeks and you can really see how it's been growing when you compare them!

Hiya hun, just wanted to say I hope your last day at work went well, not too emotional, and that you can take it a bit easier now with that sodding SPD!

My bump is steadily getting bigger now. It seemed to appear overnight and now is getting a teeny bit bigger every day.  We had the 20 week scan on Tuesday and all appears well
