I can remember the New Year after having my son (now 14) staying up til 3am, he was 2 mths old at the time!!

I would be beside myself if I tried now as 11 pm is the latest I can do AND thats on a Friday when DH does the early morning Saturday call teehee

Well that's kind of what I thought it might be like this time round so I think maybe you're not using those rose coloured specs!  I don't remember having to go to bed really early before but I guess some nights I must have, but you do generally have more energy when you're younger, I can remember I used to be able to stay up till 1am in the morning and still get up for work in my 30's whereas towards the end of the 30's and beginning of my 40's I'm in bed by 11pm at the very latest and struggle to get up the next day so I'm dreading to think how I'll be when this one's arrived!

    Hi I am 42

Yes I do find it more tiring with LO this time! I have to say I coped really well when she was new born ( with night feeds etc) but find that I have to go to bed sooo early in order to function as a proper human being the next day lol even now and she goes thru from 7pm to 6am, I had tonnes more energy with the other two; of course i could be looking back with rose tinted specs xx

Aww, thanks for that.  And your other children are similar ages to mine too, mine are 17 and 14.  How old are you if you don't mind me asking?  You must be a similar age to me (depending how old you were when you had your first children of course!) and I'm just wondering whether you have found it more tiring this time round than first time or are you like me and can't really remember but put all tiredness down to age rather than pregnancy?

    Hello again!

Really should be on the older mums thread but thought I would say hello to you all, can't believe how time has flown since I belonged here!

Emily is 7 months (yesterday) a real sweetheart and apart from feeling knackered at times I feel great! I am soooo broody though but think Emily will be my last one lol

Boys are totally in love with their baby sister so if any of you are worrying about older siblings dont, if my 18 and 14 year old are okay with everything then yours will be too

Very best to all on here and see you all in the older mums thread soon

    Sal xx
