hi everyone
twice in one day - lol. well matthew didn't have a nap today (the day when his mummy is really tired!) but he's gone off ok tonight so far so just sat watching the x factor.
it's really cold as well. i had a shower to warm up and now sat here in my dressing gown, socks and slippers - not a pretty picture

oh, had a proud mummy moment today - matthew actually said "mum" and meant it today (normally he just mumbles mum, mum, mum, mum lol), but today he looked at me when i walked in the room and said "mum" - melted my heart.
heather - wow thats a bargin £75 down to £35. not surprised you're pleased with that
the childrens clothes sound ridiculously priced!!!! i'm sure you'll find something gorgeous for her. i'm with you tonight on diana or jls to go on the x factor. diana is different but think the public will vote for someone safe like alexendra. lol at lillie having risotto for tea - thats what matthew had
reluctantly as he was very tired. i bought a tommee tipee mat for his high chair. it's really good as any plastic bowl will stick to it - which was a bonus at lunchtime because he had a cheese toastie. he's getting desperate for independance and then gets all frustrated. oh, your poor friend miscarrying the day before her scan
when a friend had a miscarriage our midwife friend summed it up really well by saying that it was natures way of saying that something was wrong. still not an easy thing to go through
i've not seen the scan pictures yet and really excited about it. my brother and his girlfriend live in leeds (about 1 1/2 hours drive away), so only see them about once a month. hopefully they'll come over soon. the annabel karmel book is really good. i got mine from asda as it was only £9. bought matthew the "that's not my santa" and "that's not my snowman" at asda yesterday.lisa - oh bless becca with father christmas. must be frightening to ask a child to sit on a strangers knee - do they still do that??? or do they just stand next to them???????? i bet you wonder where all the time has gone with putting her name down for after school care. enjoy your night with strictly and casualty

hope everyone else is keeping nice and warm
xx jo xx

Hi Heather and Jo hope you enjoy your evening watching X-Factor, not been watching it myself but i'll be snuggled up watching strictly and then casualty thats a good night to me.
yes Jo i've already taken Becca to see santa, she actually spoke to him this year but still won't go near him, might try another grotto later. i've put Becca's name down for the after school care as we have a big year next august when she starts school, should be fun.
hi to izzy, janv, sarah angela and everyone else have a nice weekend

Hello Ladies!
Might only be a short post today as Lillie is sooooooooooo crabby and not going to sleep without a fight! She faught her morning nap and now she thinks she is invincible!! I managed to get a Christmas present for her when Mark was off on Thursday, a new shop has opened selling all "mamas and papas" things you would ever want!, we bought her a rocking butterfly, reduced from £75.00 to £35.00 so I was pleased about that! Next door to that shop is one of these little nursery shops that has all these beautiful things that cost a fortune! A dress costing £90 and cardigan at £52 for a 9-12 month old! I was looking for a party dress for Lillie as she has her first invite to a Christmas childrens party. All the childminders (most of which I know) get together and throw a xmas party for the children. Games, food, children's entertainer, photographer etc..... So I need my Lillie looking the part! LOL!
I see by the weather forecast today that you are all in for a bit of fog! Callum was panicing incase his footy match might be called off. But I think he will be coming home with a smile from ear to ear as his team beat Rangers in an early kick-off.
Hi Lisa - Sorry to hear you were having a bit of a bad time in Oct/Nov ((( hugs ))), as Izzy said, we are here for you if you need us! I would just love a new pair of GHD's my old straighteners are just not doing the job! How did I ever manage without them!! Hope all goes well with your lab reports! I don't miss having to do to Uni work and essays!
Hi Jo - sounds like you had a great time at the wedding last night! Good for you!! Always great just being able to kick of your heels and have a good time eh??!! Great news about your brothers baby!! xxxx The old heart jumps in the mouth at times like these eh???? I was pregnant at the same time as my best friend, only to miscarry at 13 weeks, at bloody work too! (funnily enough the day before the scan), all my friends and family got very upset! But in saying that I soon cheered them all up and fell pregnant 10 weeks later with Lillie! Oh Jo, I love bacon and egg butties too! mmmmmmmm a dripping egg yolk!! Well I ordered the anabel karmel baby and toddler recipe book based on Jan and your postings. I am running out of recipes, even though she is starting to eat what we do I still want some back-ups for the freezer! I will be watching the X-factor tonight too, think Britney is on tonight so should be good! Diana or JLS to go tonight maybe ???????
Right I will need to post the rest later as Lillie is awake and wanting her tea! Vegetable risotto tonight!

hi everyone
well today i'm officially shattered and will be going to bed at the same time as matthew tonight lol. the wedding was really good but didn't get in until 1.30am!!!!! thankfully matthew didn't wake until 8am this morning so not too bad i suppose. ian's on a 2-12 today so just me and little fella this afternoon, and the weather is just miserable. it was really foggy last night and not really cleared today and it's very damp.
jan - so, you've got a little tinker on your hands then with thomas
bet you were relieved when you got his finger out easily - phew. hope you soon get rid of your cold. its a good excuse for a hot toddy! took a salmon fishcake out of the freezer to try matthew with tonight - got some food in reserve just in case. not made the veg rusk yet. that's going to be on my cooking list for this weekend. just haven't got the energy today. i've also bought ingredients for the bang bang chicken which seems quite easy to make. matthew eats better than us lol. glad it's not just matthew who's obssessed with everything he can't have. yesterday he kept sitting in the dogs basket, he's very cheeky
i know exactly what you mean about wanting them to have lots of friends. i'm dreading matthews first day of school (particularly as he doesn't go to nursery now). like you said, children can be very cruel. that's awful about what happened to you during your school days. i hope all those bullies regret it now - particularly if they have children of there own. i would be mortified if matthew bullied, but also worry about him if he didn't have friends. god, being a parent is very stressful. with the water for thomas. i asked about that at matthews 8 month check up and the hv said that our water is ok and that he could have tap water so he's had that since his check up. think it's something to do with the floride or something but could be wrong. hope you're secret santa shopping goes well.lisa - hope you start having more good days than bad ((hugs)). are you taking becca to see father christmas?? not got much planned for this weekend as ian is working and the shops will be horrendous. going to have a warm shower later, get in my pyj's and watch the x factor - thats as exciting as my weekend gets.
izzy - meant to mention about the online food shopping. bounty has a forum where people post discount codes you can use for various supermarkets. it's under the special offers/competition forum. not tried it myself but quite a few people post with "free delivery" codes or money off codes.
hi to everyone else. hope you're all have a great weekend

Hi laddies hope your all wrapped up nice and warm this weekend its going to be a chilly one.
think my present should be not to spend it ill like the last two. yes think Becca’s list will be massive as she wants everything she see’s, thinking of maybe having a clear out of old toys if becca will part with any lol.
i never used boiled water for becca’s drinks after she turned 1.
thanks for the kind words and yes feeling a bit better but have good days and bad days so a good thing that im being kept busy with uni work. got 2 lab reports due in next week so will be keeping busy over the weekend. has anyone anything nice planned for the weekend?
28/11/08 15:25
Izzy - I bought a dvd camcorder a few months ago so I can record his "milestones" and he loves watching himself back on the tv - vain or what - lol! The party in Moscow sounds like fun - have a great time. As for shopping online at Sainsburys - unfortunately they don't deliver to us here in the sticks - I wished they did - I always go there when I'm over that way as I love all the different selections they offer. I have shopped online with Tesco's though and you pick the date and 2 hr slot delivery time so I should imagine Sainsburys would do the same.
Sarah - hope the photo shoot with Nelson went ok - like the others have said it's not a waste of money at all - you'll be able to look at the photos in years to come and have lovely memories - I think they're well worth it.
Angela - hope all goes well at the dentist today! What is it with bacon sarnies - lol - (sorry Izzy!) - think I might have to have one over the weekend now - I haven't had one for a week so I'm suffering from withdrawl symptoms!
Lisa - sorry to hear you had some bad news in Oct/Nov - hope things have settled down for you now. I bet Becca's getting really excited about Christmas now - has she sent Santa a huge list? mmmm - what's on my Christmas list - do you know I haven't even thought about it - happiness and healthiness for all my friends and family is what I'd like - cheesy I know but that's what I'd like!
I can't stand being in the house another day so I'm off to search for the secret santa tomorrow I think and have just remembered I need to get a pressie for my friend in Australia as well - I can feel myself getting worked up about all those crowds pushing and shoving already
. Oh just remember - I keep meaning to ask does anyone know if I can stop using cool boiled water for Thomas' drinks now - I would have thought so now he's over 1 but just checking??
Hi to Linda & Paula - hope you're ok.
Have a good weekend.
Jan.
28/11/08 15:25
hello everyone,
oh you've all been so busy on here again and I've only been away a day
. Had a really boring week this week - haven't been anywhere part from work and out on Monday morning - trying to shift this cold so I've been boring and sensible this week and stayed in in the warm - on the plus side though have got loads of overtime done though so raking it in for Christmas - weh hey!! My Mr Mischief decided to mess about with the shower yesterday when I wasn't watching him - only left him for 2 mins and by the time I went to find him he'd managed to get his finger wedged in the shower trap and pull the whole bloody thing out!! Fortunately his finger came out easily otherwise I'd have had fun explaining that at accident and emergency. He's a bugger for silver things - I'm sure he was a magpie in a former life - lol!
Heather - so Lillie's got Callum's appetite it seems - pinching everyone elses snacks - made me laugh. What is it with lo's when they see food they've got to have it? How did the rest of Callum's exams go? What's he got next week? Oh you naughty thing eating a bacon buttie - I like mine with oodles of tomato sauce on - so much that it plops onto the plate when you bit into the sandwich
. Ummmm lovely. Jo - so glad it's good news for your brother's girlfriend - what a huge relief. Well the salmon fishcakes went down well yesterday but no so keen on the veggie rusks - have you had a go at making them yet - what do you think?? Mine came out a bit rubbery so I don't know if it's something I did or if they're supposed to be like that
. Tried Thomas with another one today and he did eat a bit of it so perhaps they get better with age - either that or he was starving - lol! Made me laugh about Matthew smelling like a perfume counter as he messes with the airfreshner plugs at your parents. I put all these toys out for Thomas and all he'll do is play with the bloody plugs/ornaments etc etc that he shouldn't - aaaagghhh! You mentioning us all looking like the women on Boots - lol - I thought that when I saw the ad for the first time the other night - don't think we'll get anything like that on the ad though for £5! Another one hit by the bacon bug - lol - enjoy! That's so heart wrenching about your friends little boy - aww it just makes me want to give him a hug! I know it's a while off yet but I sometimes think about Thomas going to school and just hope he gets lots of friends and doesn't suffer bullying. Some kids can be so horrible to each other and I'm going to try my best to bring Thomas up to be kind and thoughtful. I was bullied at school and it was horrible. I had really horrible buck teeth when I was a kid and so was bullied about those and I used to hate going to school some days. Have a lovely night tonight at the wedding. Don't eat/drink too much now - lol
.Izzy - so glad to hear Maxim is back to his normal self - I bet you're very relieved. Lol at you not wanting us to mention bacon - ha ha. You'll be drooling at the supermarket door as soon as you get over here I can see - lol! I totally agree that the .5% increase on NI is going to affect us more - it's the old story - they've given with one hand and taken with the other. No I didn't get a photo of the choc monster unfortunately - never thought to actually - never mind I've got some more choc pudding the freezer for him so will have to have the camera ready next time. Thomas is such a poser when it comes to the camera - he loves having this photo taken. I bought a dvd camcorder a few months ago so I can record his "m

hi everyone
this may be a quick post because just put matthew down for his nap and god knows how long he'll have.
no playgroups today because they're moving offices. went to asda this morning (thought after my sainsburys trip i should try and save some money) and ended up spending a whopping £115 this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oops LOL oh and i bought some bacon - yum yum.
swimming was really good yesterday. it was ian's scheduled day off because he's working this weekend. so he took him in. he's getting so good with his armbands (matthew that is).
let's see if i can catch up on all the news .... i'll have to type quickly because i can still hear little fella chattering away.
izzy - oops, sorry to mention bacon. just think how good it'll taste in two weeks time. glad maxim is back to being a cheeky monkey. it's funny how we can all moan about them sometimes but when they're poorly we just want the cheekyness back
funny how men seem to go blind or daft when it comes to chores that need doing. ian's excuse is that he might do something wrong and then i'd moan - in fact thinking about it he's right - ha ha. how's the work load going??? don't be working too hard during your countdown. i've shopped on line with sainsburys and you can pick your slot etc. from memory it's a 2 hour slot and if they are even a minute late you get £10 off your shopping bill. i've never had problems with them but a friend had a couple of occasions when some of the expiry dates were rubbish. she complained to the customer services and received some voucher for her next shop. the birthday bash in moscow sounds exciting. is this a good excuse for a new dress LOL.sarah - glad you had a decent night with nelson on wednesday night. i bet you were relieved when he nodded off again 15 minutes later. funny how your way worked
hope the photo shoot went well. as angela said, it's never a waste of money when you're capturing memories. all our lo's will be teenagers before we know it
angela - lol at your bacon buttie. i'm thinking bacon butties will make a great christmas morning breakfast now. i know you'll have probably already sat in the dentist chair by the time you read this but hope it went ok. i had some veneers fitted a couple of years ago and remember thinking that i was paying a fortune to be in agony. anyway, hope it wasn't too bad. it's so true about worrying with our lo's. i'm glad your friends baby seems ok now and putting on weight. i was talking to a friend last night who has a 6 year old and he came home from school and told her that at playtime he has no one to play with. so the next day when she dropped him off she stood and watched him from the school gates
didn't buy any chocolate trifles today lol. mind you i think i spent enough. did buy some cakes from marks & spencers yesterday though
in fact, oh my god - i spent £115 today at asda and £13 in marks yesterday - double oops.hi to heather (i bet your busy meeting friends), jan (hope you're not working too hard), linda, paula and lisa.
hope you all have a great weekend. we're off to a wedding this evening so think i'll be spending the weekend recovering.

Hi Everyone!
Just a quick post from me today.
A quick question for you - have any of you ladies ever shopped on-line with Sainsburys? If yes, can you chose a delivery time and date and do they stick to that well? Any advice on doing this? Maxim and I will arrive at about lunchtime and the thought of taking a tired 2 year old who has spent hours coped up in planes and airports to Sainsburys on a Friday afternoon...well, let's put it this way, I'm not brave enough to attempt it!
Sarah - your email finally appeared today. When it did arrive, it was pushed into Spam - better late than never though. Thanks for pm'ing me anyway. Hope your photo session with Nelson was fun!
Angela - thinking of you at the dentist today. Hope it is OK and that your insurance pays up soon!
One of my colleagues from the UK arrived on a visit today so we've got busy few days ahead of us. Then on Tuesday dh and I fly to Moscow for a few days. The president of our company is 60 on 2nd Dec and there is a big party for him, which we have been invited to. It should be fun, but again, I have to leave my baby1 Let's hope he doesn't suddenly spring another illness on us - I don't think I could take it!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi Me again
I've tried to post a few times but as i'm not in tomorrow people keep pestering me and this vat thing is not going away, frankly it's a pain in the bum.
I chickened out of my weigh in last night, i didn't get in until quarter to 7 and Mattie was shattered so i thought what the hell, lets give it a miss and have a bacon sarnie for tea, it was sooo delicious, all crispy with hp sauce on (SORRY IZZY).
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow, it's my dental appointment to have a crown done, a three quarters of an hour appointment costing £380.00 quid with the check up included, i hope the insurance hurry up and pay out on it, otherwise we may be on baked beans for christmas dinner.
Heard from my friend yesterday, her baby wasn't putting on weight and she was really worried anyway she decided to stop breast feeding and she's put 2 pounds on in two weeks so she doesn't think she was feeding properly, bless her, Deb said, oh i can't stop worrying about her and i told her that she'll do that for the rest of her life.
Jo, so glad about your brothers baby, i can imagine their relief and yours, it's such a worrying time anyway those first 12 weeks, you're right about life being so precious, we just take everything for granted i guess, anyway i'm not going to depress you anymore, and no more excuses for those chocolate trifles. Enjoy your swimming today, you're brave venturing out, looking outside it's such a grey horrid day today, i hope tomorrow is better.
Izzy, sorry about the bacon comments, i can just imagine you sat there craving one now, nover mind only 16 more days to go and you can sink your teeth into one. Brians not too bad when he's home if i've got food in the fridge he will cook but if theres nothing in he just sits there and waits for me to get home to sort it out.
Heather, the german stollen sounds divine, i think i'm going to the christmas markets on night next week so i'll have to look out for it, Brian loves it too so i might buy some but i don't think it'll keep until christmas, not in our house. Yes i remember trying to teach James how to blow his nose and he just used to blow into the tissue with his mouth, now Mattie does it too.
Lisa, sorry to hear you had a bad time just recently, hope things are ok now. I am hoping my house will be decorated as my christmas wish, not at christmas but around easter time.
Hi Jan, Paula and Linda
Well i better rush off, i've been on far too long already, who knows i might get the home computer working yet, but if not have a great weekend all.

Hi All
I will post again in a bit but just wanted to say Sarah, I hope the photo shoot goes okay and don't blame you for not telling Jasp, if you're paying why should you, and it's not a waste of money it's memories that you'll never get back.
Have a good afternoon and enjoy the weekend.

Hi everyone
This should be a quickie as I have half day today, but...... like the others it always takes longer. Taking Nelson to have his photo taken so should be fun. Haven't told Jasp I'm doing it, as he would go on about it being a waste of money etc, tight old git, anyway haven't had a chance, still not speaking that much! The things I do for a peaceful life.

Had a dodgy moment last night, Nelson woke again at 12am, only this time I did it my way and he was back to sleep by 12.15am, even surprised me!
My heart did sink when the wailing started though. Will really have to make this quick so much to do today, sods law all these things turn up when I have half day.
Just wanted to say how please I am that your brothers baby is ok Jo.
Your email went OK Izzy, it hasn't rejected, I'll quickly pm your Secret Santa person just in case.
Catch you all later.

I think I split my post just in time - not a thing was lost.
Heather - I had forgotten that the system in Scotland was so different. Your kids leave school at 17 as well, don't they? I think uni courses are a year longer also. There does seem to be more pressure on kids than in our day, but then the grades are so different too. One of my closest friends from my teens was brilliant (he still is - he was in charge of the design of the McLaren Formula 1 engine - that sort of brilliant!) and noone was surprised when he got 3 "A"s at A-level - but it was still really something. I mean nobody got 3 "A"s then and we were at grammar schools where the kids were expected to get good grades. Now it seems to be a disaster if you "only" get 1 or 2 "A"s out of 3. I always had really good intentions about revising - but God was it boring. I think I spent more time making myself revision timetables than actually revising!
Lisa - glad to hear things are getting easier for you than they were. Don't forget we are always here to help if we can. I asked Santa for a good night's sleep last year, like Jo asking for a lie-in this year! Funny how sleep is the one thing that a mum really craves. This year I want Santa to turn my dh into a "new man" - I mean I'll keep his body etc, but I'd like him to do things round the house without having to be nagged or even asked! I know I am asking for a lot, but I did eventually get a good nights sleep after asking for that last year. So what is on your list?
Hi Paula and Linda, hope all is well with you.
Must get on now as I have been writing this for about 45 minutes. I keep getting interrupted - and there goes the phone AGAIN!
Have a good day all!

Hi everyone!
Before I forget - I didn't get your email Sarah - was it only me who didn't?!
I can't believe how busy yesterday was here! It has taken me almost as long to catch up with one day, as it did with several yesterday! Thanks everyone for your sympathy! Sunday was a really frightening day (well morning at least), but all is well that ends well and you wouldn't know now that there had ever been anything wrong with Maxim. Dancing around and cheeky as ever!
Please can everyone stop talking about BACON! I have to wait another 2 weeks....

Sarah - I guess your alarm will be going off about now. Hope Nelson let you sleep til it does go off! I know what you mean about sleeping worse when overtired. Maxim is like that too. In fact, I think I am also! I slept like a log last night as the night before I was so tired and just couldn't sleep. Strange isn't it! Kolya used to be the same about Maxim - if there was the slightest noise, I was expected to rush through to him. I swear that was part of the reason that we had so many problems with him sleeping badly right up til last January. I had to put my foot down then as noone was getting any sleep. Kolya is better about it now, but he still can't cope if Maxim cries for more than a minute or two! Your VAT situation sounds like a nightmare. As for the government - I can't believe their incompetence but as you say, I'm not sure that we have much to chose from. I had a feeling that Nelson had had ear infections - poor little boy. If he was as poorly as Maxim was on Sunday he must have been a very miserable little thing.
Jo - thank goodness all is OK with your brother's little one. It must have been so scarey. You don't need to feel silly about saying anything. That's what friends are for - to listen and support. It's the old thing of a problem shared is a problem halved. If you can't talk to anyone about it, it just eats away inside you. Much better to talk about it and let some of the stress out. Have fun at swimming today.
Angela - I know what you mean about the evenings. Same here. We very rarely eat before 8.30 and usually it is closer to 9. Once in a very blue moon Kolya "thinks" and does something about cooking whilst I put Maxim to bed. But most of the time, I come downstairs and he is sitting on his backside watching the television. In my next life I want to be a man! I'm glad you got a laugh out of the 187.5% VAT, like I did!

Jan - selling your body? Would you have to charge VAT on that too???
Seriously though the 0.5% on NI is going to affect most of us a lot more than a 2.5% cut on VAT. Did you get any photos of your chocolate monster?! I love those moments!26/11/08 22:25
oh, meant to add - got your email sarah. thanks for sorting it all out. we'll all look like the woman on the boots adverts

mmmm, now for shopping - better get my thinking cap on
26/11/08 22:24
jan - lol at getting thomas used to the vac for when he's older
just wait till they're helping daddy in the garden. i'm glad matthew was with his dad when he hit the little boy. you're right, i would have been embarrassed. hoping it was just a reaction after the boy pushed his way through him. had to laugh at thomas and the night light. matthew comes back smelling like a perfume counter after he's been to my mums because they have those plug in airfreshners!!heather - my brother and girlfriend saw the midwife a day before the scan so they could have some blood tests taken and get the results today at the scan - otherwise they would have been non the wiser. the midwife didn't seem unduly concerned but i think my brothers girlfriend just heard "can't find a heartbreat". she has some medical background as well as she trained as a gp before specialising - knowledge isn't always a good thing. glad callum is still smiling through all of his exams. lol at his timing at lunchtime. think i'll be buying some bacon at weekend. love bacon butties on soft white bread mmmmmm. mines with butter and lots of ketchup - oh my god, now i want bacon and egg butties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lisa ((hugs)) to you for your tough time in oct/nov - hope everything is ok now. my wish from santa would be to have a lie in - on a sunday and not get up till it's at least 1pm. i don't ask for much and wont get it either lol. whats on your list to santa???
well better go - will de-fuzz tomorrow now lol. this was supposed to be a quick post

hi to paula and linda. hope you're both well.
xx jo xx
26/11/08 22:23
hi everyone
bit of a quickie tonight because it's swimming tomorrow and i need to de-fuzz LOL
well the scan went well and everything with the baby is fine - phew. got a banging stress headache tonight with all the worry over the last 24 hours but all is good - so now i'm a very happy auntie-to-be. thanks for listening

izzy - thanks for the hugs - really needed them, but feel a bit silly now because everything is ok. when i spoke to my (very worried) brother last night i also told him that the midwife didn't listen for matthews heartbeat. all she did was complete a few bits of paperwork and the next time i saw anyone was my 12 week scan. can't imagine how they felt this morning in the waiting room. they paid privately for the scan as it offered extra checks - i had the amnio with matthew as blood test results put me in a high risk bracket - so i think they're been over cautious after everything i went through. the radiographer (i think thats what they're called) said that the equipment a midwife has is about £1000 where as the equipment used for scanning is over £100,000 so not to blame the midwife too much for the scare yesterday. they obviously don't blame anyone as they are so relieved that everything is ok. ((hugs)) to you with maxim poorly. i believe ear infections can be very painful. i'm glad it's nothing more sinister.
sarah - thank you also for the ((hugs)). my brother said while they were waiting there were two other couples before them. the first ones went in and came out crying
- how awful
then the next to go in found out they were having twins!!! he heard the fella say "there's two!!" lol. pregnancy is a miracle and it's easy to forget how precious life is. my cousin and his wife are currently having some tests because they've not been successful yet (they got married 6 months before us). not sure how the news of my brother will be taken. ohhh my chocolate trifles were delicious - they were sainsburys ones - yum yum. their best before was yesterday and there were two left so i had to eat both of them lol. lol at jasp wanting you to see nelson as soon as he stirs. that's exactly what ian is like. in the night if matthew so much as murmours he gets out of bed. which is good in some ways because i don't need to get up but i agree that it does make matters worse. as for the government - don't get me started. do you ever watch "question time" on a thursday night??? i find it really interesting. love the idea of using lining paper for drawing and then keeping it. i'll remember that. maybe we can decorate our lo's bedrooms with it when they're 18 LOLangela - how's your m-i-l?? what would men do without us hey!!! hope you get to put your feet up over the weekend and brian takes over and waits on you hand and foot!! any chance??? thanks for your ((hugs)) as well. a friend of a friend had a still born at full term. the baby had been lay on the umbilical cord
i was only a few weeks pregnant when that happened and used to panic if matthew didn't move for a while. lol at trifles coming in three packs - there were only two left otherwise i'd have eaten all three. how are matties war wounds from nursery?? do they keep a log of any incidents or did you find out from mattie??jan - thanks for your ((hugs)) - see above for all the story. got your pm, thank you so much. i'll add the ingrediants to my shopping list. i'll let you know how we get on. they sound great, yes i use the annabel karmel baby & toddler feeding book - it's a life svaer and worth every single penny. i couldn't cook at all before and used to buy everything pre-packed but i'm quite proud of myself these days. lol at getting thomas used to the vac for when he's ol

hi everyone its not been so cold today. Think becca is looking forward to christmas but she is still singing and going on about halloween. Not been upto much have had a lot on with doing uni work, looking forward to the holidays. Had quite a bit of bad news in oct and beginning of nov got so down considered dropping out of uni, but pulling myself together now and still at uni.
time flies as never quite relised how long i had been away.
so what are you all wanting from santa?

Just wiped out my post myself by pressing the page back icon!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!
I was watching x-factor at the time, or should I say the zzzzzzzzzzzz-factor! They must all be really nervous, as it is coming across tonight - BIG TIME!!
Hi Jo - Now that is a fantastic feeling hearing Matthew say his first word and really mean it! I can't wait until Lillie starts talking! Definately a BIG proud mummy moment! Ha! snap! Risotto for tea, it is so easy to make for them eh?, I manage to get 6 portions out of each batch and it's jammed with vegetables, I think she likes ! Had to have a wee chortle to myself, it was actually me that miscarried not my friend, I think I would STILL be councelling her if it had of been her! But instead I became her 24 hour hot-line whilst she was pregnant LOL!! I ordered my book of Amazon, £7.50 in total, oh bugger I could of got it in Asda!! Never mind I am looking forward to the recipes escpecially puddings - as I have run out of ideas (your blueberry crumble is still a firm fav!)!! I will have a look for the other books you got Matthew next time I am in, they sound good! I nearly bought 2 advent calanders on thursday from Thorntons, but then realised Callum and I would only benefit from them!
Hi Jan - I was just thinking whilst reading your post that Thomas sounds like a little magpie - when you said exactly the same thing!! LOL!! But you know what? you wouldn't want to change him for the world! Lillie is fine when she is eating when we do, but the minute we have something she doesn't then its "operation - that's mine!!!!" She will go as far as to try and see whats in your mouth if I eat a biscuit with my tea or coffee LOL!! Not too sure about tap water for the LO's, I only assumed it was 1 year, as it is when we stop sterilising bottles then, think it may be longer with Lillie as she is still a hot juice addict!! LOL! Yeah Callum seems to be going ok with his exams but the proof in the pudding will be the results, not too sure when we will be getting them.
Hi Izzy - Sorry for going on about bacon! I bet it will be the first thing in your grocery shop when you get back here eh?? I have only shopped online with tesco, just wish we did have a Sainsbury's near us! Not had a problem with them, sometimes they don't have what you have asked for and sustitute items unless you stipulate otherwise. I also use discount codes to get money off and free delivery as Jo has already mentioned. Ooooh my Dh and son could get very very jealous of your friend designing with F1 Maclaren (Good for him doing so well, makes you kind of proud of your friend eh!), they are both F1 nuts!! Mark apparently gave up his love of F1 when he met me!! LOL!, his mum and dad used to live behind Brands Hatch and was down there on a regualr basis. He travelled throughout Europe to see the Grand Prix's! He worshipped Ayrton Senna and Callum loved Shummie! You are spot on about the exam system up here, they can leave at 17 to start Uni, as highers only take one year. But they do need 5 to get in and many split them between 5th and 6th year.
Hi Angela- Hope you got on ok at the dentist! I have such a fear of them! Nearly as much as spiders! LOL!!
Hi sarah - How was the photo shoot? You will treasure the photos forever!! I still look back at Callum's and think "was my little darling that small and cute!"
Don't laugh it's taken me nearly 3 hours to finish this -been back and forward to the computer all night! DH has read about 5 chapters of Harry Potter in peace! Just finished watching X-factor - I am NOT going to watch that bloody programme ever again!! Ruth went out!! Bahhhh Humbug!!!!!!!!!
Hi to everyone else, have a warm weekend, the fog is like pea-soup out there and a few fog horn have gone out on the river! Eeeeeerie!!
