Hi Angela - LOL at you eating your tea when watching poor Joe eating these things!! The bacon butties were fab! I think just because we were all salivating over them during the week! My rolls have to be proper morning rolls (none of that cotton wool stuff that collapses when you take a bite) and it has got to be butter, love it when it melts and drips from the heat of the bacon and of course, it has got to be HP sauce!!

    Anyone hungry???????

No, that worked ok, won't need to tell naughty bounty off again!!

    part 2............!

Hi Angela - You are a woman after my own heart! I love stollen cake!! I have tried so many different makes over the years and the best by far is - ALDI, I worked it out under the principle that they are a German owned company and we have a  German market in Edinburgh who make the most tasty scrummy cakes ever!! So I wasn't dissapointed!! A stollen slice and a cup of tea mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! You made me laugh about running around with a tissue after Lillie as you do Mattie, she hates me even cleaning her mouth after her food, and screams at me when it involves her nose! Think she will learn the art of hiding like your Mattie, quickly! You also brought back memories of me teaching Callum how to blow his nose! Now that WAS fun!!!! (Not!) Good luck for the weigh in tonight, you must tell us all tommorrow!!!!!

Izzy - Oh dear, a worrying time for you aswell! Awwwwww! Glad to hear Maxim is recovering well though! As some of the girlies have already said, it must have been very frightening for you! Thank goodness you have a boss that totally understands, don't feel guilty as your precious little boy is more important! Callum sits his standard grades in April/May, we have a different exam system in Scotland, they are Standard Grades and Highers. But pupils who are stitting credit grades (i.e. those expected to get 1's and 2's to progress to higher) need to sit a general paper in each subject, incase they fail the advanced level. That's why all these poor kids are required to sit two papers to keep them continually streamed! Sometimes I think it was easier in our days! Oh and I was such a baddie at school, always crammed my revising in until the week before!!!

Hi Jan - Hope you start to get better soon! I now swear by kleenex balsam tissues to stop my nose turning bright red! And touch wood they have worked everytime! I cannot stand the feeling of my nose running it drives me mad! I hope we are still all typing away to each other when everyones boys are all Callums age now - I bet they will all be eating trolleys full of food too! Callum ate 3 bacon rolls for lunch! They never even touched the sides!! LOL!! All his friends are just the same, I keep emergancy pizzas in the freezer just incase he brings them ALL home one day! you finished your post by saying you hope Thomas hadn't ripped any books - I made a terrible mistake last week and left Lillie in her play pen with a thick cardboard paged book, I forgot the book was in there, when I got back she had chewed into 2 pages, made paper mache in her mouth and then wiped it all over the play pen - her mouth was full of the stuff! What a girl!

Right I am off folks - all that talk of food has made me hungry - tea-time!!!!!

Hi to Lisa, Paula and Linda!

    Good afternoon ladies!

Thought Lillie was never going to have a nap today, tried to wear her out at the indoor baby play park this morning but she was more interested in eating everyone elses snacks! Two of my friends LO's never got a look in as she was off with their food!

Thanks for all your well wishes for Callum's exams, he had maths this morning, 2 papers again and he has biology tommorrow then no more until tues and wed next week! He is still smiling though!!!

Well! I have gone and done it now! Couldn't resist any longer! The fact that we have been talking about this all week and the fact that the main ingredient kept shouting "buy me" on the supermarkert shelf, well, way hey!! I made bacon butties for lunch!!!! With plenty brown sauce on them.............mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Callum's timing was cut to perfection as he walked in the door at lunch time......needless to say starving!!!!

Hi Jo - How awful for your brother's girlfriend at the moment, I know you will all be on tenderhooks! Was it a problem that initially took her to see her midwife?God I have been there a few times on both sides of the fence! Really, really hope this works out for her! Always a worrying time xxx I am going to have a rummage in the cupboard under the stairs and inspect the fuse box as I really am bad at knowing about these things. The gas man came to read the meter a few days ago - I never knew where it was as we all got ours replaced in our street a few months ago, I must have looked so stupid!! maybe I am just a typical girl, as Dh keeps saying! LOL! Yeah Mark lives with his ipod on when he is washing the car, mowing, cleaning out his precious garage! Think he has worked out if he can't hear me, he won't be required to actually do anything else!!

Hi Sarah - Hee hee! I got my secret santa email!! Welcome back to land of the living, I always feel more human if I sleep properly, like you i must go out cold when I am deprived of my sleep! Mark always says he knows if I am really tired as I don't move all night! I am such a light sleep under anyother normal cicumstances and can hear a pin drop in Austrailia! I noticed one house last week on the way to Tesco last week with its tree and lights up! First one!! We have two houses where I live lit up like literally like a christmas tree, both houses and gardens from top to toe, but they are owned by local businessmen and they donate to charity from a collection. All the children in our town come to see the houses and the lights get switched on by local celebs that I have never heard of! but at least they don't get lit up until 12 days before xmas!  Ooooooooooooh no! I couldn't eat these beasties on 'i'm a celeb' let alone all the other bits! Did you see poor Joe wretching and gagging with the feet he had to eat!!! Oh god Iam laughing whilst I type this!!!

Going to split this espcially with my track record over the last few posts!!

    Hi

Never thought, sorry,  stollen is like a christmassy fruity slice of cake covered in icing sugar, mmm from that description i definately shouldn't have been eating it.

Love that idea of drawing on lining paper and dating it, i put a few away from James childhood like the hand prints and things but i must admit to throwing pictures in the bin once i've had them on the fridge for a while, wicked mother

Hi Sarah - posting while I am!  Yes got email thanks - got to rack my brains now!!  Oh hold on Thomas has just pulled the night light out of the wall ..........  god he's into everything today - he had got all his books out, and earlier filled the waste paper basket with all his toys, emptied my office work box so all my work was strewn all over the floor and screwed up - aaaaaggggghhhh - almost time for his afternoon nap so maybe I'll get some peace in a minute!  Like the idea of the lining paper for drawing - keeps it all tidy in one place too - will have to get some!  Know what you mean about the Xmas tree going up this year - I think Thomas will be very inquisitive about it this year - last year he just stared at the fairy lights - don't think it'll be like that this year - if he's anything like today I can see he'll be pulling it over every 5 minutes!

    back again!

Got a chocolate covered monster after lunch - made him a chocolate surprise pudding this morning and he enjoyed it so much he decided he didn't want me to feed him with the spoon - oh no he wanted to grab the whole thing and stuff it all in his mouth in one go!

Right I'll carry on where I left off -

Angela - another one affected by the VAT change then - what a palava (sp?) it all is for 2.5% - good old government eh - still getting a pay rise in January with the child benefit - umm what shall I do with that extra £5 a month??  Well done for keeping up with the spin class - I'm so impressed - are you finding it easier now you've been a few weeks?  Made me laugh about Mattie wanting to go to bed in his wellies - aw bless him, really cute. When I was a kid there was a old guy lived nextdoor who was a virtual recluse - he had some strange ideas and you reminded me that the rumour used to be he went to bed in his wellies.  My dad went round there one day to help him fix something and when he came back he told us all about how there were old calendars still on the wall dating back to 1912 (and this was 1985!!!) and all his wallpaper was fixed up with nails - lol!  Poor chap - he was actually a lovely guy but had some strange things going on at home - anyway how did I get onto that subject - oh yes - wellies - lol!!   Good to hear mil's op went ok - men eh - they're so useless when it comes to visiting - I don't think they understand like we woman do.   Oh you naughty girl eating that stollen - lol!  I could just eat a slice myself come to think of it - this time of year I find it so hard to resist all the goodies on offer in the supermarket - I usually make a Christmas cake myself but I'm not going to this year as I'll only sit and eat the lot - you've made me think though that I'll maybe have to get a stollen so I've got something to munch on, oh and some mince pies, and a chocolate log, nice cheeses - aw the list goes on!

Izzy - omg that must have been so frightening thinking Maxim had meningitis - thank goodness it turned out to be a ear infection - hope he's ok now - sounds like he's bouncing back anyway.    Llike Sarah said don't feel guilty about cancelling your trip.  Lo's come first when it boils down to it - I've realised that since having Thomas.  Made me laugh about putting the VAT up to 187.5% - god I hope not - I'll have to start selling my body otherwise - lol - not that I'd get much for it!!

Well there's just been a huge crash in Thomas' room so I know he's just pulled his books onto the floor to read them all - better go and check he's not ripping them all to shreds.

    Me again!

I've sent the Secret Santa emails out so please let me know if you didn't get one.

Angela - Know how you feel, having no evening, that's my life on a regular basis, as I get little or no help from the om. What are men like, when someone's ill they think it more of an inconvenience than anything.  Dreading the Xmas tree going up, as this year I have a feeling someone is going to be very interested in it!

Poor Mattie getting bit.  My friends little boy bites, she gets so paranoid about it, think that's why she asks us to go round when his either asleep or at pre-school, as he bit Nelson last time.  Which I think is daft, I never made a fuss about it, these things happen, just thank god like you it's not Nelson doing the biting.  I think she's had some bad reactions from parents before.  But Nelson does get possessive over slides at play groups, I'm told he actually raked a little girls hand the other day for touching it.  See Jo they all do it!

Jan - I know come January there's going to be some weird VAT returns, sounds like fun.  Nelson doesn't like the vacuum cleaner either, bought a toy dogie one and he hates it, never played with it, that was worth the money... not!  I am going to get him hovering as soon as can as well and other jobs, I'm getting on a bit, he'll have earn his keep lol!  Jasp brought a roll of lining paper home which we use for drawing, every time we use it, I date it, then when the rolls finished, I roll it up and keep it.

    Me again,

Just reading Jans post and it reminded me, Mattie was bit by a little girl at nursery yesterday, he couldn't wait to show me his arm, apparently he was playing with some play doh and she wanted it so bit him, no harm done though, the bite didn't break the skin but after i'd made a fuss of him my reaction was, thank goodness it wasn't him who bit another kid, like you say i wouldve been so embarrassed, but i wasn't annoyed with the parent or the child, it's just one of the things kids that age go. Like Heather said Jo it's just a natural reaction if another childs got on Matthews pip, i'm sure he's not going to make a habit of it.

    Hi everyone,

Well still got hacking cough - driving dh mad slowly I think keeping him awake at night .  Thomas ok though so I'm hoping he's escaped it - dh coming down with it now though so of course it'll be man flu no doubt .

Heather - I laughed so much at what Callum eats - omg is that what I've got to look forward to - I better start saving now!   Sounds like you'll be touring the Balamory sights when Lillie's a bit older - something to look forward to eh - lol?  Teletubbies tower eh - sounds interesting - I can just imaging Callum cringing in the back of the car - ha ha!!  How's Lillie and her dribbles?  It's so funny when they mimic you isn't it - Thomas thinks it's hilarious at the moment whenever I cough or have to blow my nose - glad he thinks it's funny - my nose is starting to look like Rudolph's at the moment .

Jo -  That's so worrying about your brother's girlfriend - I bet she's really upset - fingers crossed for the scan today - hope everything goes well - let us know how she gets on.  Sounds like you had an "exciting" night the other night with the lights tripping - well done for knowing what to do - I wouldn't have a clue!!   So Matthew doesn't like the vacuum either - Thomas went through a phase of hating the thing - used to make him cry like mad - he seems to be getting better with it now though and screams with delight every time it comes on!  Got to get him used to it anyway so I can train him to use the thing when he's older - lol!  I shouldn't worry about the incident at playgroup - I think they all go through this sort of thing at a certain age - it is embarrassing when it happens though and you get the evil eye off another mother!   I am using the Annabel Karmel recipe book - feeding your baby and toddler - is that the one you're using??  Yes I freeze the meatballs and everything else I mentioned too.  I'll pm you the rusk recipe a bit later - I've made some this morning using sweet potato so we'll see how they go down.  Glad to hear Ian's friend seems to be on the mend.  Must be a very frightening experience.   You made me smile with about laminating Matthew's first picture - I'm going to be like that I know!  And all the things they make at school when they start - I'm going to need a spare cupboard to keep it all in because I just know I'll never ever throw it away!

Hi Lisa - nice to hear from you - what have you been up to over the last few months then?  How's Becca - growing fast I bet.

Sarah - glad you got a better night with Nelson last night - one good nights sleep makes such a difference doesn't it - makes you feel human again!  Made me laugh about the Xmas lights - some people have no taste do they - lol.  I don't know how they afford the electricity bills the amount of lights some people have outside their houses.  I think just a few lights outside can look really nice but when it's loads of stuff I just think it looks totally naff.  Another one affected by the VAT change then?  Looking forward to doing those VAT returns that straddle the change - I'm not!!!  Will just get used to using the 15% and then it'll change back to 17.5%!!  Can't see that it's going to make much difference spending at all - is anyone really going to spend more just because they're saving £2.50 per £100 - I don't think so, not unless it's something huge they're buying anyway.

Right I've got a small person nagging me for lunch so I'll post this and come on later

    Hi All

Another stressful night passed by last night as Brian is still on lates and it was James's training night, did a quick stir fry for tea at 8.30 and fell into bed knackered at 9.30, wheres my life gone!!

Brian did remember to go to his Mum's yesterday and even made her a cup of tea but i rang him this morning and asked whether he was popping round and his reaction was "what again" , i coildn't manage to shame him into it so i'll have to whizz round tonight inbetween picking kids up, calling for my weigh-in and making tea.

Lisa, we thought you'd gone, lovely to hear from you, bet summer seems a distant memory now eh. Bet Beccas really looking forward to christmas, she looks really grown up now, bless her. I too am on countdown to Uni finishing as we begin our Christmas break the Monday after, so only 3 and a bit weeks to go, can't wait.

Heather, Now you'll be the mad woman with the tissue chasing your daughter trying to wipe her nose, Mattie literally runs and hides when i get my tissues out. Good luck to Callum today, at least one exam is all he's facing today, i think four in one day is a bit excessive though, poor lad. Can't believe your story of the boy who's mum has him excused from PE and has his own games room, i think some parents are mad, kids need exercise, I know James wouldn't go to school if he couldn't do PE. I think the spin class is going well because i'm now desperate, i have to lose more weight for Christmas so i can look half decent on all my do's, going on three in all and i've not been out for a month or so, so can't wait.

Jo, (((hugs))), hope your brothers girlfriend is okay with her scan today, she must be worried out of her mind , and you too, i can understand you eating two chocolate trifles, i always eat in times of crisis, it helps me cope. A friend of mine had a baby stillborn at full term on the day i got married, it was such a shock as we all took it for granted that everything would be okay, anyway we ended up being pregnant at the same time and having the same due dates, understandably she was worried sick throughout her pregnancy and had lots of scans and checks, she then had a c section two weeks before her due date and all was fine but i was also worried sick as she was the first person i've ever known that to happen to, i was so relieved when Mattie was born. Anyway i hope i haven't depressed you after that, don't eat any more trifles, but then they do come in three packs don't they.

Izzy, (((hugs))), oh i love giving out hugs, poor you, you must have been so worried thing Maxim had meningitis, thank goodness he's okay. Very understanding of your boss, i must say, our deputy general manager, otherwise known as the rotweiller has mellowed considerably since having a grandson to cheer her up. Had to laugh at you reading the vat might go up to 187.5%, god i hope not, Lol. I did hear this morning on the news though that it's just an idea they had and then scrapped to put it up to 18.75%. Like Sarah said though, this government have rubbish ideas but theres no one else that have got any better ideas, they're all as bad as one another.

Sarah, Laughed at your last post yesterday, you had really lost the plot, i'm glad you got a good nights sleep last night, it certainly does make all the difference. I would not have my house lit up like some Santa's Grotto, no way, no matter how much the kids badgered me, i think some of them are so tacky, and they don't go up in my house before 10th December, ever, bah humbug. The weigh in is tonight but i think i've fallen off the wagon a little so i'm in for a telling off, had a lovely piece of stollen though on Monday night, it was soo worth it.

Well back to the conflab over the VAT again, will it ever go away.

Angela - Hows the VAT thing going?  Not good at our end waiting to hear from computer people.  Still need to work out the Duty implications as we import.  But you wouldn't believe how cheap it is for a container from Hong Kong at moment $175 (about £110) for a 20' container, costs more to get it delivered here from the port.  (You do have a lot of other charges on top of this cost though).  China can't give their goods away at the moment.  Did you have your weigh in last night, how'd it go?  Catch you later no doubt.>>

    Hi girls

Oh what a difference a nights sleep makes.  Nelson never murmured all night, well if he did I never heard him, I was out cold.  Feeling human today, but still not speaking with om, he went out last night, so not really had a chance.

Couldn't believe on the way home last night I noticed a house up the road from me has their house adorned with Xmas lights already!!!!!!!!!!!!  There is NO way on earth I am ever going to light my house up like beacon, Nelson can plead away when his older I am not going to do it!  Yeah right wait until the time comes lol!

Lisa - Nice to hear from you, glad Uni going OK.  Is Becca getting excited already, she must know what going on, she a bit older than our lads.

Heather - I laughed at you telling Bounty off like it were a kiddie, I did that to the people at work in the first few months back at work lol!  Nelson also mimics coughing and sneezing even now, he thinks its hilarious.  Good luck to Callum, but sounds like his happy with how his exams are going.  How sad, I looked up that program, it's Tikkabilla on at about 11.30am, they have different presenters all the time.  Both Jasp and I love stodgy puddings too, but not only do I not get time to cook myself, but I don't like cooking all that much, so I buy pre made ones.  I eat absolutely anything, even if I don't like something, if I'm hungry enough I will eat it.  I should be on 'I'm Celeb...'  Kangaroo Balls...  Insects...  No problem bring them on.  Think Jasp was a spoilt mummy's boy, even his mum apologised to me for spoiling him, she's so nice.  When we first moved in together he complained that he wasn't getting a bacon sarnie to take to work with him in the morning, I quickly told him where to go on that one.

Jo - Big ((((hug)))) for you, worrying time's, hope your brothers girlfriend is OK.  Don't think my mw could find a heartbeat before I had my scan either, so fingers crossed.  Let us know.  But I know when you hear of awful things happening to others it plants the seed of worry.  A friend's wife was pregnant at the same time as me and she was the same age too and she found out at the 12 week scan there was no heartbeat and it worried the hell out me until I had mine.  Oh you mentioned chocolate trifles, one of my favourites haven't had one in ages yum, where can I get one now!!!!!!!!!!

Izzy - Another big (((hug))) to you too, poor Maxim, ear infections are nasty, Nelson's had them.  But how worried were you when you thought it was meningitis!  Hows the hospitals out there?  Glad you boss was OK about you missing the trip, don't feel guilty you son has to come first.  Nelson has all his teeth now, thank god!  I think he was just over tired, as weird as that sounds.  He had only about half hours kip that day and he never sleeps well if he hasn't had a decent nap in the day.  Your right I would have coped better without Jasp there, in the first place I wouldn't have given in so quickly to begin with and therefore not set the rest of the events in motion.  But he insists I go and sort him out as soon he squeaks, next time will be different , I'll do it my way.... yeah right!  This VAT thing is a mare, our old computer might not be able to cope with 2 VAT rates, should be fun!   I've had enough of this government, but we don't have a refreshing change to replace them with, think we ought to have a political party of mostly women, we're good at organising and most of all have better common sense and multi task.  Izzy I have pm'd you I need your address for Secret Santa.  Oh and I was just turning my alarm off when you posted.

Angela - Hows the VAT thing going?  Not good at our end waiting to hear from computer people.  Still need to work out the Duty implications as we import.&nbs

Well, I'm glad I thought to split my post when I did - only a little bit got cut off! Don't know what happened to all my capitals though...

Heather -  We used to do our mock exams in January, so you either spent Xmas/New Year revising and worrying about them, or didn't do very well, depending on how conscientious a student you were!

Jan - Bacon sandwich....we can't get bacon here and you just got me thinking about it. I'm going to have to get busy and take my mind off it or I'll be craving it soon! I know several vegetarians who say that bacon is the only thing they miss by not eating meat. I hope your cold is completely better, but it sounds like you had a good time anyway! Congrats with your lottery win!

Lisa - good to see you back! We thought you'd left us! Hope all is well with you and Becca.

Paula - I know what you mean about Christmas meaning more once you have children. I started to get excited about it the year Maxim was born. He was totally oblivious though at 6 months! It'll be interesting to see what he thinks of it this year at 2.5. I suspect that as others have said, it'll be next year when he is 3.5 that he'll really start to understand what is going on!

Linda - hope your trip to the Emirates went well. Where are you off to next?

So, back to work now - must do something to make up for cancelling my trip. Guess I'd better try and sell something big!

    Take care all

    Izzy xx

    hi ladies!

first of all, thank you all so much for thinking of me. as it was, i had to cancel my trip at the last minute as maxim was ill and there was no way i could leave him. it turned out to be "just" an ear infection, but sunday morning we had to rush to the emergency doctor with fears of meningitis. very scary. fortunately, he started putting his hand up to his ear and his ear was obviously bothering him, so we realised that it wasn't as bad as all the other symptoms suggested. anyway, in the way that kids do, he has bounced back and by yesterday he was almost back to his normal self. i felt so guilty about cancelling my trip, but fortunately my boss understood entirely and was really sympathetic. his daughter just had a baby in july, so i think he is even more aware of how your child/grandchild has to take priority over everything.  with everything going on i just haven't had a chance to get on here and tell you that i wasn't away afterall! you have all been sooooo busy on here - i can't believe it! i think it'll take me most of the morning to catch up properly!

jo - sending you big hugs for all the awful things you have going on at the moment. as for your brother's girlfriend - let us know as soon as you hear. you must be worried sick. i don't remember my midwife even trying to pick up a heartbeat before the 1st scan. at least her scan is today, so she'll hear soon. hopefully all the worry is for nothing.
i did get lots of cuddles from maxim, but only cos he was a poorly little boy and was glued to my lap all day sunday. well done to you sorting out the electricity! i'm the same - get on and sort it out, though i have to say it is so nice that dh is an electrical engineer as he regularly has to go up to the substation which serves our area and "kick start" it again. there is no way i would do that! we lost power last night for about 30 minutes. dh was straight off up the road to sort it out.

sarah - big hugs to you too. hope nelson slept better last night and that you got some sleep. any ideas why he woke up? maxim does that to me sometimes when we have been travelling and his internal clock is messed up. does nelson have all his teeth now? could that be what set him off to start with. as for men...dh does the same sort of thing to me. screaming baby and do they help? no, they either make stupid suggestions, ignore you or ask why you don't stop them crying? at moments like that i envy single mothers! it is hard enough to keep your temper and patience with the child - all i need is dh to say the wrong thing and i am ready to murder him. so big huuuugs and i really hope you did better last night (probably just still sleeping as i write this!)

angela - i can only imagine the problems that the cut in vat is causing you. it would be bad enough if you had warning of a month, but less than a week! i'll have to check my bookkeeping really carefully this month as it will mess up my vat return too. what really p***es me off about this is the fact that they are giving us a measly 2.5% now (and i read this morning that they were only a week ago looking at putting vat up to 187.5%) but in 2 years time they are going to take so much more off us in ni contributions! giving with one hand and taking 10 times more with the other. i don't think it has fooled anyone though. hope brian's mum is doing ok - did he go and see her in the end?

heather - poor lillie and her face pack! good description! maxim has been like that before now and i'll have to remember the "facepack" next time it happens. it'll make me laugh instead of cringing at the driedup snails' trails. i can't believe how many exams callum has in one day - seems a bit much. i guess the school does it so that they are prepared in case it happens when they get to the real exams. is he taking gcses in june? we used to do our mock exams in january, so you either spent xmas/new year revising and wor

    hi everyone

feeling really low tonight as if all the bad stuff thats going on at the moment wasn't bad enough, i spoke to my brother on the way home (i don't think i've mentioned it but my brothers girlfriend in pregnant and due for her first scan tomorrow). she saw the midwife today and she couldn't find a heartbeat - so keeping everything crossed for the scan tomorrow. ian's on lates so i'm just sat here alone hoping that everything will be ok. the midwife didn't seem overly concerned but my brothers girlfriend has had a friend go through this twice and both times the baby had died

my mind is all over the place and can't really think what else has happened today so i'll just catch up with all your news.

sarah - ((hugs)) to you - hope you have a better night tonight. moan away .... it's good to have a moan and we all understand. nothing worse than feeling under the weather and tired!!!!  i'll send ian to your house for his meals lol. he eats like a horse and will eat almost everything except fish & homous.

angela - well done for surviving spin class again. you're so good going. i've sat here tonight and eaten two chocolate trifles (individual ones - but still BAD).  you made me smile about matties wanting to go to bed in his wellies i remember when i was younger (all those years ago) that i had to have i whatever was new sat on my dressing table so i could see it when i was in bed!  ian's nephew once went to bed in his new coat in the middle of summer apparently - and they have a picture - quite embarrassing for a 26 year old lol.  ian is good at doing things with matthew. think he misses him a lot because of the shift work and enjoys his daddy time with him now i'm back at work. nothing else gets done in the house though as he's a bloke and can't multi task.  good luck with the VAT change - don't envy you.  i also try and get out of cooking christmas dinner after having 5 for dinner and 14 for tea one year!!

lisa - hi - great to hear from you. love the new photo glad you're well.

heather - hope callum goes on ok with his final exam tomorrow - at least he can enjoy christmas.  fuse box was no problem as it's just in a cupboard in the hall - hardest part was trying to get a chair into the porch (it's only a small storm porch), unscrew the top of the light and change the bulb - praying that i'd turned the switch off when it blew lol.  glad ian isn't the only one who doesn't think when lo's napping. ian is soooo noisey. i always say to him "could you get to sleep if someone was making that much racket!!!" never seems to sink in though.  oh and another ipod man - that's what ian had on when he was hoovering! it's one of the worst presents i've ever bought him. grrrrr  when i was 40 weeks pregnant i visited a friend and tried to call him on the way home - tired the home phone, mobile .... nothing. got home to find him with his ipod on!! good job it wasn't an emergency, like my waters breaking.

hi to izzy (hope you got those big cuddles), jan (hope you're feeling more human), linda and paula.

well going to get going. sorry if todays post sounds a bit down. hopefuly i'll hear some good news tomorrow and come back all cheery.

hope you all get a good nights sleep - sweet dreams

    xx jo xx

Naughty Bounty just ATE my entire post !!!!!

    Good evening ladies!!

Looks like Lillie has gone from a runny nose to mass dribbles today! She was in full scale mimic mode today! If anyone coughs she copies them! And I know she is being cheeky as she smiles each time she does it!! She definately has that cheeky sparkle in her eyes! Callum has had another full on day today, another 2 exams with 2 sets of papers! But he came home smiling and only has one exam tommorrow so he is upstairs studying away!

Well Hello and welcome back Lisa!!!!!!, how are you and Becca???? Yeah the Uni's are breaking up soon for Chrimbo. How is Uni going?? I bet Becca is getting excited about Christmas eh??? Great to hear from you!

Hi Sarah - Awwww bless, I just read your post, you poor, tired exhausted girl! ((((( Hugs )))) for you!! I really hope that you get the sleep you deserve tonight! i will need to keep an eye out for htat program with Justin and Big Ted and Little Ted, glad you thought Hamble was a bit odd too! LOL!! Yeah like your Step dad and brother food is not a problem in this house, and Mark likes his traditional puddings too, jam roly poly, treacle tart, bread and butter pudding, fruit crumbles, sponge puddings etc.... just as well I can bloody cook eh? I think Mark was spoiled as a child !! LOL!!

Hi Angela - You are being ever so good going to the spin classes!! Send some of your motivation my way please!!  Callum does eat loads, and burns off loads he is always walking about at top speed and out with his pals playing football. Good thing is Angela at least our boys are active eh?, there is one boy in Callum's year that is the size of a house, his mum feeds him what he wants and he has his own games room with every games console and game possible! and he gets excused from PE!! Did Brian pop in to see his mum  this morning then????

Hi Jo - Lillie's face mask steamed of no problem in the bath! She places the bubbles on her face and head for some odd reason so she did all the hard work herself! at least it spared me the screams and tears trying to rub it off! Just like Sarah we have lights that keep tripping too. The downstairs hall light just explodes, usually when Mark goes near it!, then within days other go too! Mark says I am just a typical girl because I wouldn't know where to find the fuse box when they trip! I need to get lessons from you Jo???? I would wait until your Ian is having a lie in one morning and then turn on the hoover!!! Mark has woken Lillie up countless times forgetting she is sleeping! He once started to mow the lawn just as I was trying to get her down for a nap, we have a loud petrol mower! He then put on his ipod and never heard me having a hairy fit at him with a bawling babe in arms!! Men sure are weird creatures!! As sarah said don't worry too much about Matthews incident at playgroup yesterday, sounded like a knee jerk reaction eh?

Hi to everyone else! Jan, Izzy, paula and Linda xxx

I've reached my limit - I am now just sitting staring blankly at the screen, moving the move around for particular reason - think my brain has gone to sleep - only half hour to go - hope the fresh air wakes me up.
