Hi all
Well we are now in a mad panic about the VAT change at work so everyones in deep discussion about what we need to do, so i've come on here for a break from it all, as if 2.5% is going to make much difference anyway, bloomin government

I did my spin class last night and i feel okay again today, not sure about the fat turning to muscle though, i know my belly definately isn't full of muscle, lol.
Brians mum came out of hospital last night as it was only a small op to remove polyps so i've instructed Brian to go round this morning before he goes to work so he can check on her, knowing him he'll probably forget.
Sarah, huge (((hugs))) for you today, i know how it feels to have no sleep, i take it Jasp was very sympathetic then, not, that doesn't help your mood either does it when you've had words with them. Keep the coffee on the boil and count the hours until hometime, Nelson will probably be so shattered himself you can both have an early night. Oh and don't worry about the moan, thats what we're here for. We've only gone to M&S for the food this year because Bri's brother and family are coming and we've shared the cost of it, we usually do all brothers, sisters and Mum but they all wanted to do their own thing this year so i'm cooking christmas dinner for the first time in 4 years, can't wait, mad sadistic person i am.
Jo, Can't believe Ian can be so good as to take Matthew to toddlers at the weekend then be daft enough to hoover whilst he's asleep, he is good though taking him to toddlers, i can imagine Brians face if i suggested that to him, although he does take him to the park quite often. Well done fixing fuse, i have to do that quite often too as ours always blow if a bulb pings off, luckily it's in a good place in the hall. I know what you mean about shoes being expensive, Matties were £32.00 and they never advertise the price before you buy them, like you said, you can't suddenly say oh i've changed my mind at the till, i bought him some wellies too but from Woolworths they had 20% off that day so got Thomas the Tank ones for a fiver, he wanted to go to bed in them the first night.
Heather, Aww bless Lillie having snot glued to her face, hope she's a bit better this morning, Mattie permanently has a runny nose and i'm always chasing him with a tissue. Hows Callum gone on with his exams, thats a lot of work in one day for the poor kid, hope he did well, lol at you packing him a lunchbox to feed an army, and four weetabix, is that what i've got to look forward to, James is like a bottomless pit now and goodness knows where they put it, hes skinny as a rake. Oh i'd love to take Mattie to Tobermory to see the Balamory houses, he loves it but i agree the school teacher does look a bit scary. What a shame all your snow turned to rain, still theres always next time.
Jan, well done on your lottery win, even if its only a tenner it makes you feel good winning, gives you a bit of a boost. Hope your coughs better today, (((hugs))) to you for being ill all over your birthday celebrations, you'll have to get dh to take you out for another meal when you're fully recovered. Mmmm those bacon sarnies at the seaside sound delicious, i could just eat one now.
Izzy are you back from Baku yet, hope you and Maxim are okay.
Hi to Linda and Paula
Might pop back on later

Well I'd better try to get my brain (originally spelt brian, no hope is there!) working and do some work, catch you later if I'm still awake.

hi girls
you know what? i would really like to come on here and say i've had a wonderful time all smiles, my son is wonderful my life is brilliant and be all happy and chirpy...... as that is the sort of person i am, or hope i am, but.................
i had a crappy night and feel even crappier
and feeling very very sorry for myself.nelson has been up nearly all night, he woke at about 12am and refused to go back to sleep until 3.15am. nothing as far as i can tell wrong with him apart from the terrible two's and a whole load of stubbornness. won't bore you with the details, but it involved a lot of screaming, bear, a change of clothes and some heated words between parents who are still not talking this morning.
so i am extremely tired, cold, p***ed and still have bloody blocked sinus'. i can see the coffee will be by drip today!
angela - meant to say you did have a productive weekend, even if mattie threw a spanner in the shopping. sometimes at the moment, you just have to cut and run with them for the good of everyones sanity. need to sort some shoes out for nelson sometime. just the 3 of us at home xmas day (oh joy!) but i won't be going to the effort of m&s (my sister always orders from m&s) tesco's pigeon sized turkey for us, jasper hates anything adventurous, that includes m&s! but going to my sisters boxing day, so looking forward to that. how's brian's mum doing? hope everything went ok. men their terrible at hospital visits, have you got brian to go see her yet? glad you got mattie sorted in nursery anyway must be a relief. chuckled at james squeezing into mattie's clothes to make him laugh, bet you don't though all that stretching going on!
jan - well done on the lottery win, at least one of us has a bit of luck. how's the cold going, at least i haven't the cough, just stuck in my sinus' again. i can relate to breakfast strop's, not what you want, when not feeling good though. lovely bacon sarnie and cup of tea by the sea yum, especially not having cooked it yourself!
heather - hows lillie's, dried on snot a really bugger to get off! how did callum get on with his exams? my step dad and brother used to eat like callum, so when i first moved in with jasp i was cooking him these huge meals he couldn't eat lol! i thought all men ate like them! i've never come across such a man like him with food, his so picky and if his upset at all he won't eat! so alien even now! you mentioned play school there is a program on cbeebies, can't remember the name of it, but justin fletcher (mr tumble) on it sometimes and they still have big ted and little ted, not sure about ugly hamble, but do have the windows! like big & small too, but always miss it now. the sticker book was quite a good one with a story so i've been trying, very unsuccessfully, to interest nelson in it.
jo - well done you sorting out the lights tripping, we have a lot of that going on in our house. how good is your dh taking matthew to dad & toddlers, jasp just wouldn't entertain it. don't worry too much about the hitting, just keep an eye on him. nelson's cousin are also a lot older than him their all in their 20's. give santa a go with matthew, you never know. i'm told brantana's are good for shoes, they do all the sizes but a lot cheaper. hope ian's friend gets better soon, there's me moaning and theres a lot worse off than me.
izzy - hope your trip going ok
just a note on non cbeebies programs, nelson loves sponge bob and daddy has introduced him to tom & jerry, which he thinks are great as it involves a 'meow'. keep trying to catch thomas the tank engine, but i think it's on nick jr early in the morning somewhe

part two .....
jan - thanks for asking about ians friend. he at home now and mobile but still on a drip. some of his friends have been to see him but ian is going to stay away for a while as the meningitis he has is the virus one so you can catch it. his girlfriend has been given antibiotics. wouldn't forgive ourselves if matthew got it
sounds as though he was really bad though and the doctors have said that its a miracle that he's done so well. well done with your lottery win - what are you going to spend it on LOL.heather - love your descriptions of lillie - lol at the face mask. matthew is ok in the day but sounds snotty when he goes to bed. not sure if it's his teeth though. i've been using the karvol plug in the last few nights. wow, callums school really know how to pile on the pressure. hope he went on ok. god i wouldn't go back to that age for all the tea in china. i can't wait to put up matthew pictures in our kitchen - i laminated his first drawing (i saw drawing but it was just a few crayon lines - lol) as wanted to keep it forever and ever. the fun part will be when they come home with christmas decoration they made at school from toilet roll tubes
makes your heart melt. glad lillies room is coming along - slowly lol. is it going to be all pink & girlie ????izzy - hope your trip went well and you got HUGE cuddles of maxim when you got home.
hi to paula & linda - hope you both had a great weekend.
had to finish on television programmes ...... don't really watch cbeebies, it's the disney channel in our house and at the weekend might put channel 5 on (milkshake) - can't stand the mr men show because they don't act like mr men. on channel 5 our favourites (well mine & ians) is "bottle top bill ..." "noddy" and "the little princess" and on the disney channel its "frannys feet", "harry and his bucket ....", "mickey mouse clubhouse" and "winnie the pooh". i'll have to watch the ones on cbeebies. i adore our old childrens programmes and have dvd's of the clangers, mr ben, the flumps and bagpuss LOL.
as for the x factor - good riddance rachel - couldn't stand her attitude - grrrrrr. i agree that diana was pants this week and was disappointed that take that weren't on more

well better go and sort the washing out, then it's feet up and watch the end of "i'm a celeb"
take care
xx jo xx

hi everyone
hope you all had a good weekend. had a nightmare when i came in from work. ian's on lates and i came in and put the lights on when the light in the porch went and tripped all the downstairs lights!!!!! the lamps were working so had some light but had to wait for matthew to go to bed, change the bulb in the porch and switch the lights back on in the electricity cupboard - who needs men

really tired tonight. matthew didn't nap at all yesterday - well he would have done and went down in the morning but his dad woke him up with the vac
he's never liked the sound of the vac and ian knows this. so tried and tried to settle him again but he wasn't for napping. put him to bed at 7pm and he didn't wake until 8am this morning - typically when ian was on a late shift because he never sleeps in for me - lol.ian took matthew to the dad & toddler playgroup on saturday afternoon and said it was really good. except that matthew hit a little boy (well he was older than matthew). the little boy pushed past matthew so he hit him and the little boy hit him back - then matthew cried!! really surprised at him hitting because he's never done it before or seen anyone else do it!! can only think he got annoyed because the boy push him. just hope he doesn't do it again.
you've all been really busy on here today .....
sarah - (((hugs))) to you. sorry the party was a bit of a downer - matthew is also obssessed with doors and at any playgroup he leaves all the other children in search of a door. no matter how many times i bring him back to the toys he crawls off to the door. i too worry about him mixing with other children because he doesn't go to nursery or a childminder (my parents have him), which is why i take him swimming and to playgroups when i'm not in work. all of ian's nephews and niece are a lot older. one nephew is 26, the other 13 and his niece is 16. lol at them knowing about his giraffe
glad he was ok with santa. i think nelson sounds adorable and i know you're very proud of him. i don't think when you have children you ever stop worrying (something no one warns you about). i've been wondering whether to take matthew to see santa this year but not sure how he'll react. maybe he'll surprise me
lucky you having snow .... we only ever get sludge here in manchester lol. had to laugh at your shopping bill as well. ian would divorce me if i spent £105 a week - ha ha. i keep hearing how good aldi is but don't have one near us so it's just asda & sainsburys.angela - sounds like you're making good progress with christmas. bet matties shoes weren't cheap. matthews were £18 and they just go up & up - thing is you can't really ask how much they are or at the till say "sorry, don't want them now" lol. matthew will need to be measure again just before christmas and his little friends last shoes cost £26!!! hope your m-i-l is ok - i think all families are the same.
jan - lol at the vegetable fritters - made some for matthew yesterday and he had a coupel for tea - haha. seemed to go down really well - until he got bored of them and threw them on the floor!!!!! i made the salmon fishcakes as well but not tried them yet - sounds like your using the annabel karmel recipes lol. i'll try microwaving them and see if they're ok. thanks for all the tips .... do you freeze the meatballs as well. i'd love the receipe of the veg rusks - anything thats finger food would be great. i've found that he does well feeding himself but not sure if he's eating enough now
thanks for asking about ians friend. he at home now and mobile but still on a drip. some of his friends have been to see him but ian is going to24/11/08 18:29
Wierd or what! I never typed in for one of these smileys to appear..................spooky!!!!!!!!
24/11/08 18:27
Hi Jan - Congrats at winning the lottery! I know its only £10 but it does make you feel good when the 3 numbers come up eh?? I thought Diana sang really poorly too on Saturday, ha! I know what you mean about her hands being everywhere!
Callum eats so much breakfast cereal, he went through a faze of eating through a box of cocopops in three days, if he has beans on toast he has 6 slices of bread with them. he is just so tall and slim so yes! I think his legs must be hollow!! LOL!!
Yeah, Balamory is Tobermory, DH had to tell me that, I hadn't a clue, I thought it was on the mainland somewhere until Mark told me we needed to get there by ferry to Mull. The castle (didn't think that was really in Tobermory always looks out of focus!
is near me, well 40 miles away in North Berwick so I can see Lillie dragging us about trying to find all the places whe she is older! We have a "thing" on the M8 at the edge of the motorway going to Glasgow that looks like the teletubbies tower, even now when we go past it we always shout "look teletubbies!!" Callum just sinks into his seat and shakes his head!!Heather xxx
24/11/08 16:49
Hi Heather,
Ahh poor Lillie - made me laugh about her face pack though! Good luck to Callum for his exams - omg 4 weetabix - has he got hollow legs - lol! Meant to say about X Factor - yes I saw it - not until Sundays repeat though - recorded it Saturday night (or so I thought) but for some reason the recorder didn't work
. Was a bit disappointed that Take That weren't on a bit more - was expecting them to do a couple of songs at least! Thought Rachel did sing better this week but like you say I think her time was up. Loved Ruth but Alexandra not as good this week. Really can't stand Diana either - aggghhh - those hands - she's favourite to win though I think
. Forgot to say I won £10 on the lottery on Sat as well - yippee
- first time for ages I've won anything on the lottery - pity it wasn't 6 numbers though!Jan.

Oh god lost a bit of the posting again, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Jo - He knows that he will be the one getting up in the night if she cries until the room is finished! It's working!!!!! MEN!!!!!!
hi jan - Just realised you had posted whilst I was typing away, so I re-wrote this bit! LOL! I can't resist the fish and chips at this place - I have never ever found anywhere that comes close, not even locally! So you got Thomas's cold then?? I remember you saying you would get !! Yeah it's freezing here too, I had to shut hte bedroom window last night, as it was blowing a gale out there! You are like me - nothing better than a bacon roll/sarnie and a hot cup of tea when it's freezing out there eh?? Did you watch the xfactor on sat night???? i thought Ruth was amazing again, wrong song choices for hte rest, even alexandra wasn't her usual fab self, and Rachel sang well, but I suppose her time was up from previous weeks so off she went!! Our shopping bill has defnately gone up - rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes all rocketed however our new local asda has gone to war with tesco and its mad, they are both slashing prices just to compete! Good for us though!!!
Hi to everyone else, Izzy - hope all is going well, Linda and Paula xxx
xxxxx Heather xxxxxxxx
24/11/08 15:53
Hello ladies!
My liitle girl has a stonker of a runny nose! She woke up this morning and it ahd all dried into her face like a face pack! She never had a bath last night so I put her in it this morning just to try and steam off the welded on "snot". She is still happy as larry despite wiping her nose all over the furniture every ten minutes or so!
Callum is on two weeks exam leave at the moment as he has his prelims(mocks), he has two exams today! And the school in its wisdom have given them two physics papers this morning and two english papers this afternoon with only a half hour break for lunch! So Callum was in right state at the weekend panicing! but off he went this moning after eating 4 weetabix and drinking a pint of water, he has taken in a packed lunch that could feed a small army!!! LOL!!
The snow came on saturday night, and the rain came on sunday morning and took it all away! It is bitterley cold up here and windy, Lillie jusy keeps trying to lick the wind when we are out yesterday with my friend.
Hi Sarah -Well what's the story in Balamory then??? LOL!!!!!!!! I did laugh when you said you get this TV program and that the theme tune drives you mad! I think the school teacher looks really scary! I found out it would take us the best part of a day to get there as I can see this becoming a firm fav, Lillie also loves, like Angela's Mattie, Something Special - and when Mr Tumble comes on she goes bananas!!! As for David and Carrie Grant -OMG, they bug the living daylights out of me too - overly cheesy, how did they get their own show I will never know!! oh but I like the Shiny Show and Big and Small (love it because Lenny Henry does the voice over!) After I have spent money on fresh foods everyday eg. milk, bread, fresh meat etc I probably end up maybe spending £130-140 a week. i know I am going to have to have a re-think before i go back to work as I am not going to be able to make tea from scratch every day! So I can see us spending more! Oh dear Nelson sounded a bit of a challenge at the party, but you kept your cool! Oh god I just know Lillie is going to be the same! So what did Nelson do with the sticker book then???? I remember Callum at xmas party's, they used to go about trading presents, Callum always being the one who wanted to know who got a car? Lillie came face to face with Santa yesterday and looked totally bemused!
Hi angela - Families eh? You are so right! When my mum was really bad it was Mark that ran around for her and where was her son, my brother - nowhere to be found! Hope your m-i-l is recovering well! I am only starting to be introduced to all these CBeebie programs! I say bring back the clangers and bagpuss and play school (That hamble doll always used to freak me out though!).
Hi Jo - i know what you mean about our Lo's going through funny eating fazes. Lillie is rejecting lentils (she used to love lentils, carrots, parsnip and cheese mash) and she wont even entertain it! I would normally reheat the fishcakes in the oven as I have had one too many explosions with the microwave! She will eat dairylee but not these mini baby bells, i think she looked at my reaction first as I think they taste awful LOL! Telling us about the hand paintings at playgroup brought all the memories flooding back to me Jo!! I started to rake through all Callum's nursery and school paintings I couldn't belive how many I kept! Totally priceless!! I came across one that I had done with Callum in the garden with potatoes made into shapes and stamped with paint all over the paper! One for next summer I think eh?? I think I have made headway with the nursery getting done, I have taken drastic action enough for Dh to actiually book time off to do it! He understands all my reasons and knows that
24/11/08 15:08
Paula - yes I remember those days of not being able to get anything done - always seemed to spend the whole day on the go and then by the end of it you think what have I done today apart from feed, change etc etc.. Ahh poor Alfie with his cold - hope he's getting better. Is he still waking at night? Thomas went through a phase of doing that - I just used to offer him water if he woke during the night to break the cycle of him expecting milk. Took a few weeks but it worked in the end. Does Alfie have quite a bit of milk before he goes to bed? Or you could perhaps try him with a bit of porridge/baby rice as well as his milk to see if that helps.
Heather - out galavanting again - lol! Ooo those fish and chips sound delicious. Making me hungry now! Yes we get Balamory - filmed in Tobermory isn't it - although I don't think they do it anymore now do they? Been to Tobermory - such a pretty place and the pub on the seafront is good! God the Balamory song is going round my head now - lol! What's the story balamory la la la la la - lol!! Did you get any snow over the weekend? Ah yes I remember giving Thomas extra hugs when I was just about to go back to work even though I'm only away from him for a day - lol! I still do it now on a Monday as I know I won't see him much the following day - god knows what I'll be like when he goes to school - lol!
Angela - you made me laugh about Carrie and David's pop shop - saw it for the first time last week and thought to myself what are these two on - lol! Omg you've ordered your food for Christmas Day now! Now I'm starting to panick - there was I thinking I was so organised and I still haven't started any wrapping/card writing!! I haven't got any cooking to do this year - off to parents for the day so have this year off - yippee! Tut tut doing internet shopping at work - lol. I used to do that when I was full time - wasn't on the net at home then so was always sneakily doing something or other!
Right better go and so some work - trying to do some extra hours over the next few weeks to get more money in my Christmas pay packet!
Jan.
24/11/08 15:07
hello girls!
Had a lovely few days - been taken out twice and had a lovely meal on Saturday. Still got cold with a hacking cough which kept everyone awake Sat night
. Felt sorry for myself yesterday as so tired and then felt even more sorry for myself after Thomas decided he was going to have a strop over breakfast and throw his weetabix at me!Brrr it's gone so cold hasn't it?? Went to coast on Friday and the wind cut through you - gave up the walk on the beach in the end and found a warm cafe to sit in for a while with a bacon sandwich - yum
.Jo - my god you were superwoman on Friday weren't you - lol! All that cleaning and washing. Didn't do any last week as didn't get time so have a huge mountain to do this week instead
. Sounds like Matthew really enjoys his swimming and is getting good too. Made me laugh about him throwing himself into the pool. How did the painting go at playgroup? About finger foods - I made some meatballs for Thomas the other day - gave them to him for the first time yesterday and he loved them. Also made some vegetable fritters which is just carrot, sweet potato and courgette grated and then roll them into balls and flatten and shallow fry until cooked. Just drain them then on kitchen paper to get rid of the excess oil. Thomas did pull a face at these when he first tried then but he's ok now - I think any sweet veg would be ok. Also have tried him with chicken and potato balls as well which are just bits of chopped chicken and grated carrot cooked and then mashed with potato. Roll into balls and again shallow fry until cooked. I'm also going to try him with pizza fingers and some vegetable spring rolls. Hope there's some ideas for you there!!! How did the fishcakes go? I would think you could probably microwave them to reheat them - just make sure they're piping hot and obviously let them cool down before Matthew has them - I'm going to make some with salmon and mashed potato later in the week so will see how we get on with those. Oh also got a recipe for home made rusks which are made with veg I think - if you'd interested in that let me know and I'll pm you the recipe. Omg your shopping bill - have you found that your shop has gone up lately though - I seem to spend a fortune whenever I go these days to Sainsburys. Just read your bit about Ian's friend being taken into hospital and all your other bad news. Huge huugggss. All these things seem to happen at once don't they - how is Ian's friend doing? Sarah - how's the cold? Hope you're feeling better. That's such a good idea that your dentist gave you about getting a doctors kit for Nelson - will have to remember that one. My dentist doesn't want to see Thomas until he's 2.5 either. Mind you he's only got 4 teeth at the moment anyway - although I noticed today that another 2 have just broken the gum. Just had to change my appointment - don't know if I want to go now or not - it's 13th Feb - Friday the 13th!!! Like all your ideas for finger foods - didn't think of new pots or the mini party food - brill idea - will have a look next time I'm at the supermarket. You made me laugh about the presenter of Doodle Do - I've never even heard of it let alone see it! Only time I suppose until I know all the kids programmes. I do like Mr Tumble though - lol! Can't remember the name of the programme he's in at the moment. Omg having to sit through 2 hrs of blue bear - I bet you know the words off by heart these days!
Izzy - how was Baku? How was Maxim while you were away?
Paula - yes I remember those days of not being abl
24/11/08 14:55
Oh and Nelson's quite right, Carrie has only got one top, Brian thought he was watching the same one over and over, durr
24/11/08 14:49
Ha Ha thats funny, i've not seen it but James loves it and wants the dvd for Christmas, that reminds me of things James does with some of Matties stretchy clothes and bibs, because he's so thin he can fit into and puts them on to make Mattie laugh, doesn't make me laugh though, little bugger

24/11/08 13:55
Oh Angela
Just about us squeezing our sons into the vests. Do you ever watch the cartoon 'Family Guy'? In one episode Peter the father insists his not fat and to prove it he squeezes into Stewie's (the baby) onesie. Reminded me of Borats swim suit! lol!
24/11/08 13:47
Hi Angela
Just having my lunch too, and couldn't help chuckling at Mattie not liking Step Inside. Don't think there is a program that Nelson reacts like that to. Nelson likes Carrie & David Pop Shop' but when ever I've taken notice of it, it's always a repeat of one I've already seen. Jasper calls it 'Carrie one top'.
Inadvertently mentioned Bear yesterday as in 'are you going to eat your Pombears Nelson?' and that was it I had to sit through 4 episodes (nearly 2 hours) of 'Bear in the Big Blue House' from his DVD's, I'm so bored with them. Bought a new one for Xmas but if this carries on I will be getting it out before. But unlike any other program including ITNG he will sit down quietly in a chair glued to Bear.
By the way Angela need your address for the Secret Santa, would you prefer to email it? I'll pm you my email just in case.

Hi, Me again
Just having my dinner and was thinking of Cbeebies and theres a programme called Step Inside, i think, anyway the side of the house turns into a face and as soon as it comes on if Matties sat near the TV he runs away from it saying "go off", meaning he doesn't like it and i do think it's a bit of a scary face, bless him.
24/11/08 10:39
Hi All
I'm sat here in stitches laughing at Sarah finding the welsh guy on doodle doo attractive, it's not that funny but i can't stand the whole cbeebies thing but Mattie loves it, i think Something Special is about the best thing on there at the minute but i really cant stand Carrie and David's Pop Shop and the cheesy stuff they do.
Well i had a good weekend, i did a bit of christmas shopping on Friday and got Mattie some new shoes (7G) so the day wasn't a total waste.
Brians mum went into hospital yesterday as she's having a small gynie operation today so i went to visit her last night with my sister-in-law, great eh, she's got 4 kids and it's two in-laws who have to visit, she's okay though and Mattie's in nursery for the next 3 weeks so she doesn't have to run round after him.
We had no match this weekend, thank goodnes, it was so cold but no snow. I went to Marks and Spencers this sunday though to order my food for Christmas Day and every time we stepped outside it absolutely wellied down, well they do say the sun shines on the righteous, Lol.
Sarah, had to laugh at your description of Nelson at the club yesterday, aw he's not a wierdo, thats what lo's do, i know Mattie won't play with the kids at nursery and if theres any other lo's at cricket or football he won't go near them but he does love tiny babies and just stands there staring at them. Well at least he was okay with Santa. You had to abandon your time at the club because of Nelson, i had to abandon my shopping because of Mattie, he screamed the place down in Next yesterday so in the end i bundled him back in the car and went home. I'm still squeezing Mattie in those all-in-one vests and they only go upto 18 month - 2 years, like you say i stretch them a bit but god help me if he has a growth spurt while he's wearing one, Lol.
Heather, did you get your snow at weekend, oh i'll be so jealous if you did, i love playing in it. Sounds like you had a fab day on Friday, the fish restaurant sounds lovely, i can just imagine Lillie charming everyones socks off in there, they're so cute when they're that age everyone loves them, i did exactly the same with the cuddles when i was due to go back to work, just enjoy every minute.
Jo, hope Matthew is okay now, did the Bepanthan do the trick. I spend usually between £100 to £110 on a weeks shopping in Asda, i did try doing it online for a while but i kept forgetting things because i couldn't see them, no wonder i was saving money.
Jan, how's your cold, over the worst now i hope. Did you carry on your birthday celebrations over the weekend.
Izzy, hope you're okay on your trip and not missing Maxim too much.
Paula, hi to you, yep that'll be it now, not a minute to yourself, wait till you can't even go the loo alone. Mattie will be 2 and half this christmas and he's still not sure about Father Christmas or whats going on, even though i know he'll love opening everyones presents on Christmas Day.
Well must go and do a bit of work i've been internet shopping since i came in this morning!!

Sorry I've just read that thread through, I've missed words out all over the place, in a hurry this morning

Hi Angela - Thanks for the hug. Still got my eyes open.... just. We too been looking at the VAT implications. More to do with the old computer system and can it cope with 2 different rates - such a short time to sort it out in too. As any items supplied before 1st Dec and returned faulty etc will still have to be credited at the old rate. All good fun. Our new system still not on line yet! My VAT return should be fun in Jan.
I know stupid government, will you go out buy now things are wee bit cheaper, get bigger discounts from the big stores and that won't increase the countries borrowing, that we will have to pay back later.
I've done Xmas dinner us before, but never done for family, always managed to get out of it, but I will have to pay back my sister at some point, she has her in laws to entertain this year, or I would have invited her. Your brave, I hate cooking at the best of times.
