Just popped back before I leave for home - Just wanted to say I hope you feel better soon Jo, poor you, I would hate to get that bug, especially with a little one about.

Nelson had the bad one at the beginning of the year and luckily both Jasp & I missed out on it, I had to take him to hospital with it, he was so bad.  I washed my hands so much they were sore for a month after.

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

    hi everyone

only a quicky today to wish everyone "happy halloween" - i started with the stomach bug last night (badly) and ended up ringing ian to ask him to come home (he was on lates) - then he had a lot of clearing up to do where i didn't make it to the kitchen sink (sorry tmi).  haven't felt this rough for a long time.

on a lighter note - i managed to book my take that tickets this morning. going on tuesday 23rd june - yipee

well, just sat in bed - not got up all day - and going to try and get 40 winks as didn't sleep at all last night - bedroom looks like a hospital with towels/buckets etc.

hope everyone else is ok xxxxxxx  will try and catch up tomorrow xxxxx

    hi ladies!!

well the pumpkin is carved and so is my hand - it is only a little nick like a paper cut  lol!!  knife slipped as i was tr*** the edges!! wooops!! we have always had the lantern in the window or doorway for hallows eve but before america had us carving up pumpkins (they are much easier) we always used large swedes (or neeps as the locals call them!) now they are guaranteed to break your hands as it takes forever to dig out the insides! my dad always did this job! we also dooked for apples, broke our teeth on toffee apples and had a treasure trail to find nuts and fruit as kids! if we dressed up it was for fun and we got sweets from the neighbours for singing songs or telling spooky stories - now times have changed with bloody trick or treat!!!

hi sarah - yeah you remember the wimpy too! our local lesuire park with its cinema and gym has every fast food joint going! that was a farmers field 5 years ago!! lol!! we still have some of the older tradional coffee houses - mainly italian run so you are guaranteed the best coffee ever!! i thought there would be plenty fleshy bits to scoop out of the pumpkin - there is hardly any - boo hoo - i was looking forward to making my soup!! had the oven on and the other veg ready!! was going to roast it first!

hi jan - can't remember happy eaters but i remember little chef, i remember them having cheeseburgers on the menu in the days before macdonalds, and thinking that's what all the americans eat and they look really fantastic!! ohhh these were the days!! lol at you with your milkshake and trying to suck out out of the straw! we used to get brain freeze from drinking them too quickly!!! lol !! my son thinks heston blumenthal is a fantastic chef, he liked one of his series as it was all science related! yeah i wonder how he will give them a revamp??

hi izzy - at least you will escape the door bell going non stop tonight - oh god that's our local primary school out now - the door will probably start going very soon!! had to laugh at sarah and jan hiding from the little darlings!

    Glad I saved that ...

Sarah -  We did what you did last year and put a sign up on the door - I'd only been back home 1 night so was totally cream crackered anyway.  Didn't stop some of the little darlings knocking on the door though - grrrrrr .  Totally agree that it's become so Americanised - everything seems to have lately - what with secretaries day/grandparents day etc etc - what will they think of next??

Angela -hope your nan has a lovely birthday -  what did you get her in the end - sounds difficult to buy for!  Well done with the weight loss - you're getting there!!  Nice that James has got your nephew to hang out with during school hols.  Bet they have a wail of a time together.  Have a nice day off today!

Paula - nice to hear from you - know what you mean about being busy - I remember Thomas at that age and I just seemed to be on the go all the time with no time for myself!   I think I started to introduce fingers foods once Thomas was feeding well on his solids.  I can't remember exactly (even though it's not that long ago!) when I did introduce them - I think he was about 7 months old -  but if you feel like trying Alfie with something try rice cakes/bread and butter/toast(just lightly toasted so it's still fairly soft)/fingers of soft fruit/fingers of cooked veg.   It will be messy but stick with it and Alfie will get the hang of it.

Heather - oh you are good doing a pumpkin!  Lol at Lillie eating half your potato - sounds like she's got a good appetite.  Well done managing to get her to drink so much - I offer Thomas water inbetween meals and he just turns his head away all the time or throws a fit about it!!  Ooo you talking about snow reminds me when I was 12 - the winter of 1982 - we'd just moved to Shropshire and we had sooo much snow.  My school was 7 miles away and I always travelled by school bus.  I think we ended up having about 3 days off school because they couldn't get through to pick us up - I was so disappointed - not - lol!!  I remember some of the snowdrifts were as high as a double decker bus!!  - we just don't get snow like that anymore - thank goodness!   Lol at you liking McDonalds banana milkshakes - I love their strawberry ones but almost burst a blood vessel trying to suck them through the straw!  I remember Wimpey - do remember Happy Eater's as well - same sort of thing.  I suppose Little Chef is the only one like that left now - very expensive for what you get though I think.  Did hear Hester Blumenthal is supposed to be giving them a menu makeover sometime so will be interesting to see what he comes up with!

Linda - hello!!  Oh I remember the first night Thomas went in his room - I had to keep getting up and down to check on him to make sure he was ok.  Couldn't relax at all!    Have a lovely night at the halloween party tonight - sounds like fun.  Can't believe you saw someone feeding their lo's chips before they can even sit up!  I remember once going for breakfast somewhere and there was a little girl in there having chips and cola for breakfast - omg it's no wonder there is an obesity problem these days.  I'm going to try to bring Thomas up to eat healthily - not saying he can't have the occassional treat but there's no-way I'm taking him to McDonalds every week!!    Oh how lucky having someone who works at Next who passes on the discounts!  I could do with that - lol!

Right better get some lunch - my stomach has been rumbling for at least an hour!

Have a great weekend everyone and happy halloween

    hi everyone

It's been so busy on here and I've only been away a day - time to catch up!

Jo - Florence Nightingale at the moment then?  How is everyone - poor Matthew with his sore bottom/ears etc - so miserable - hope he's on the mend.  How are Ian and your mom as well - loads of things going round at the moment - it's that time of year!  Can't believe how many dismissals you've had a work lately - bet you get to the point where you wonder what's going to happen next.  Lol at you demolishing 5 vchoccie biscuits!  I try not to keep choccie biscuits in the house because I know I'd just eat the lot in one go otherwise - buy them for treats instead (which is most of the time - lol!).  Still trying Thomas with yogurt at the moment - up to 4 teaspoons a day now - only thing is he's developed a really sore bum so I'm not sure whether it's teeth or the yogurt that's caused it.  Taken him off yogurt for now until it clears up and then will try again to see what happens.  We only discovered about his lactose intolerance when we took him to hospital when he was 2 wks old to get him checked over as he had prolonged jaundice.  The doc who looked over Thomas noticed he looked a bit bloated and asked all sorts of questions and did some tests which came back as lactose intolerant.  We were so lucky that he picked it up otherwise he could have been really poorly.  I did notice when I'd just had him mind you that he was very very windy with diahorrea while I was feeding him but when I questioned it at the time I was just poo pooed!    You've made me feel better about Thomas not drinking much anyway after you'd spoken to your hv - his nappies are always wet but he never drinks much at all so that's put my mind at rest anyway.    Chester Zoo was brilliant - had a lovely sunny day to go round - Thomas loved the penguins, sealions and elephants - got quite excited when he saw them - lol.  Granny and Grandad came with us as well so he ended up with a huge pengiun balloon that frightens me to death everytime I walk into the lounge because I forget it's there!  Was quite expensive to get in - cost us almost £30 for the two of us.  Lo's go in free until they're 3.  If you ever go though I've since found out you can buy cheaper tickets on Lastminute.com - they're discounted by a few pounds which isn't much but it all helps!

Izzy - welcome back!  Lol at your comment about dh being back at home so now there's more work.  Found a great birthday card the other day for my female boss - says relax & put your feet up - it's just like being a man for the day - made me laugh anyway!!  Sounds like you're working your socks off at the moment.  Have you got any more travels in the pipeline or are you home for a while now?

Sarah - Good news about Jasper - I bet he's so relieved.  Glad Nelson's getting better too - I bet you are though as well  - hopefully better nights sleep now!  Lol at the Wallace and Gromit clock - I bet you could have thrown the thing across the room - I've just given all the toys Thomas got from my colleague a clean - they live on a farm and I didn't like the look of some of the things on the toys .  The whole house smells of Dettol now - lol!  Know what you mean about halloween - we get loads of trick and treaters round here - drives me mad - I've got to the point where I don't answer the door now either - grumpy old woman that I am - lol!  What really gets me going is our neighbours on the one side who we don't particularly get on with always send their boys round knocking on the door - bloody cheek!   I'm going to lie on the floor in the dark tonight so it looks like there's no-one in - lol!   We did what you did last year and put a si

Anyway, hope you all have a fun "scary" Halloween and a great weekend.   that is the closest Bounty seems to get for a scary icon!

Just popped back while drinking yet another cup of coffee.  Had to reply to you Heather - I remember the Wimpy, it was the only place round here when I was a kid. (No Milton Keynes then, just Bletchley Bucks with a cattle market and horse and cart lol!)  I loved the Pancakes with maple syrup yum oh how hungry am I now!

You are good doing a pumpkin, I would love it, but Jasp wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Thought I'd pop on before I start carving this pumpkin that is sitting at the front door! But this year i am actually going to keep the flesh to make a spicy pumpkin soup!

Hi linda - Our web cam ideas fell apart, my s-i-l moved to Adelaide 2 years ago and 12 of our combined families all tried to get up and running on web cams and computers so we could all keep in touch - but have found the lines of communication are really bad - ended up on skype just to speak to them and it takes them an hour to download one single photo on the computer LOL!! Yeah the fast food era has definately taken its toll on this little island eh? I really noticed it funnily enough when I was at a stadium gig two years ago - at a Robbie Williams gig at Hampden park, so many obese woman! Couldn't help wondering how many of them would develop diabetes/heart disease etc... ..............I remember when I was young that going to the Wimpy was a real treat, I always had donut with ice cream and chocolate sauce - think is was called a Brown Derby - does any one else remember this?? Oh and I do love the banana milk shakes from macdonalds mmmmmm!! I don't live anywhere near one of the huge shopping malls like Bluewater, The Trafford Centre, The Metro Centre etc......so I get excited when there is a new deveopment within driving distance - They have called this Elements and its in Livingston, they merged two shopping centres into one, its very open and airy, suits me as I get irritable in crowded areas! LOL!! Have fun with the finger foods!!!!

Hi sarah  -Was just about to post this and realised you posted as I was typing!! Good news about Jasper then - at least it wasn't his kidneys, phew!! I even thought it sounded like a hernia at one point when you described what had happended. I detest blocked sinus, as decongestants only help me for a little bit then you end up suffering in silence eh??? Just so many bugs and germs about! Need this cold blast to get rid of them!! I have decided to go to a boot fair with all Lillies stuff and what we have collecting in the garage - there is a good one in Edinburgh so hopefully will shift most of it! I thought you would have sold all your stuff? Will you try Ebay? I have the occasional MacDonals too - my treat is to have one on the way home from a nightshift at work, maybe once a month - Sausage and egg macmuffin and an orange juice - it keeps me awake until i get home!  Not had one for nearly a year though!

    Hi everyone

Thought I'd get this post out the way before I dive back into the figures, felt so fuzzy yesterday afternoon, think this cold hanging around in my sinus' is just getting to me, suppose it's back to the doc's if it hasn't cleared up by next week.

Jasp had his tests yesterday and they never found anything, so good news and as his feeling better, they think maybe Nelson jumping on him had something to do with it and it cleared up by itself, don't know?  He didn't ask whether he should go back to his GP or not, men!   Don't know what they did to him but he just slept all evening, so no help there then.

Paula - Oh it's been so long since Nelson was 6 months, I've forgotten what I gave him, he was really good and ate anything at that age.  Toast is always good and Fruit like Heather suggested, or rusks.  Just see what he will eat, it's amazing what they can suck and chew on without teeth.

Heather - Bet Lillie was fused over at your work.  Just think you'll have that wonderful memory all the time at work.  Not that I know what it's like never even went into labour.  I never panic buy, probably would with milk now because of Nelson, but I always have a cupboard full of tins etc, we'd get buy for month or so with what I buy and don't eat lol!  After all the interest I had in the stuff for sale I've only managed to sell the Bounce N Spin Zebra, so sad without him on my landing.  I will have to put my hands up and admit to introducing Nelson to MacDonald's, but not on a regular basis, now and again for a treat, he absolutely loves it and devours every single bit.

Linda - It is scary putting them in their own room for the first time, not for the lo put for us, you'll get used to it.  Have a nice time at your Halloween party, I have no objections to Halloween parties, it's the knocking on doors I hate.  Nelson was only 2 months on his first Halloween and I couldn't rest buying him a 'Little Devil' costume, he was so cute.  I put a notice on the door saying 'Shush baby sleeping' and no one called lol!  Oh the baby brain will continue yet, I still have it.  Good luck with your exams sounds like you have a lot to take in.

Jo - Hope Matthews feeling better.

Hi to Jan Angela & Izzy.

Better get on, more computer problems now, it never ends. Have a good weekend everyone.

hi there, feeling a bit more refreshed today, dd was 6 mnths last week and slept last night in her own room for first time. a bit scary..for me not her. we had had e few strange nights of wasking up, not crying but just wanting to play for a couple hours, so last night she was down at 7.15 woke at 4 fed and back to sleep til 7. my dh took the monitor and slept in the spare room and did the night feed so i could have a good rest. of course i kept waking up but was nice to go back to sleep straight away. getting ready for halloween party tonight at my sisters, have got seren a batbaby outfit and going to put her on the webcam tonight to show her grandparents in turkey , she goes on the webcam to them 4 times a week, if she doesnt we get an earful from pil...although as they are turkish and dont have halloween not sure how i am going to explain why i have their darling darling grandaughter dressed as a bat!!??

hi heather..glad you had a good trip to shopping centre, which was is it? i am another trafford centre user as its so child freindly and easy parking and feel kind of "safe" in there if you know what i mean. i was also out the other day  and saw a couple feeding their baby who couldnt sit up yet  chips from a fast food place...how much salt. my sister is a directer of public health and healthy eating is one of her main areas and she goes up to people and tells them!!!

hi izzey..i know what you mean. my dh is absolutely fantastic with dd, he does everything, bathing, changing, feeding, playing, the works but ask him to fill the dishwasher whilst looking after her and a strange glazed look sets in.

hi jo..hope matthews feeling better, poor little mite...everything is hard enough anyway without the extra worry. hope he gets better soon

hi jan..its great to have things handed down to you,,my best friend has 2 little girls age 2 and 4, and also a stepdaughter who is manager of next, so she gets everything with 40% staff discount and then passes all on to me. i just buy her girls really good xmas and birthday presents. she says anything i dont want give to charity, but our local newspaper run a collection for the womans refuge and i take loads of stuff there. i think i am in a fortunate position and i wont give them to charity as even they still charge for them. i would hate to be in the positions they are in so would rather give them free.

hi angela..you sound so busy at work... i am lucky i have payback time from my 2 sisters who children are all teenagers and i have looked helped look after them all their lives so now its my turn. wish your gran happy birthday..new slippers or a really cosy fleecy blanket for over her knees...that worked for me!

hi sarah..rather you than me doing all that paperwork...my brain is like mashed potatoes at the moment. getting a bit wooried as got my 5 day return to work course in 2 weeks. all exams every day about the 2 types of aircraft i work on, safety proceedures, first aid training, bomb and hijack training, fire training and of course every piece of equipment we carry and where it is on each aircraft. i have heard they are quite gentle with us...my god they will need to be!

hi paula..my dd was 6 monthe last week and also wondering about finger food so will look at answers you were sent.

    hello to anyone i missed....linda

Oh my goodness me! You have all been exceedingly busy today! Good good!

Have been out and about today, took Lillie into my work today for the first time - felt my heart a flutter when I walked passed the room she was delivered in - nice memories! Then went to look at the new shopping centre - the shop windows are 40 foot high! Really impressive but same old shops - Markies, debenhmas etc............  Had a baked potato for lunch and Lillie ended up eating half of mine after eating all her food! Greedy girl - couldn't believe the amount of little kids eating Macdonalds though!

Hi Paula - I started Lillie on finger foods at roughly 6 months - tried anything, from pieces of melon or cooked pear slices to some cheese - she took her time and it has been only in the last 3 weeks that she eats fingers foods really well - she will eat literally anything! in saying that she is going to take after DH and DS -they are human dustbins too! - She will swipe toast out of my hand!

Hi sarah - that's great you have done well with selling Nelson's stuff. You brought back memories of a few years ago when they officially cut the town off - the police stood guard at three three exits to our town, not allowing any cars out unless they were essential workers. They turned most people back home as the roads were lethal - people started to panic buy at our local Tesco - buying 5 loaves of bread and 5 pints of milk each - just silly really! Had to laugh as the snow was cleared on the roads by the end of the day! I suppose they would class me as one but hasn't happened to me yet - I always manage to avoid the bad snow days as I am on days off!! Impeciable timing!! Hope all goes well with Jasper at hospital!

Hi Angela -Well done at slimming world -you go girl!! Have a good day off with the boys and hope your Nan has a lovely birthday! xx

Hi Izzy - We always prayed that school wold be closed due to bad weather, and like you listening to the local radio - but all the teachers were local and could walk into work! I remember walking to school in knee deep snow with wellies and my winter gear - nowadays its a few snowflakes and the  school comes to a standstill! Oh I hated revising at school too! Would rather dig the garden or come to think of it, anything else rather than hit the books!

Hi Jo - LOL! I am never off Lillie's case when it comes to drinking her water/juice - I walked around the shopping centre today - stopping every so often to give her some - she drank the whole beaker within 2 hours and her nappy was fit to burst poor thing!! You are fairly getting through them at work Jo - well at least you are siphoning out  all the bad uns eh??? Yeah my brother eh - what a boy! surprise surprise has now been spoken to by HR about his time off work - he got a fright so maybe he might just think about his future!! Owww poor Matthew - hope he gets better soon xxxx aww bless! As for stomach bugs, they spread like wild fire - I do exactly same and scub away - bet your bathrooms look brand new!!

Hi Jan - So no cake for us then??? think that girraffe singing in he car would have freaked me out ! Your story did make me laugh too! Still no snow here - we only get a couple of nasty blasts a year, lasting a few days each time. Other than that our town being on the coast and in hiding in the Firth of Forth - we escape the worst - maybe i shouldn't have said that - bet we get a belter of a bad winter this year now! LOL!!!

Right time for bed now I think and i am getting jittery about loosing another post!!!

    xxxxx Heather xxxxxxx

Hi back again - Just had to take a break from looking at this VAT return, the figure are merging into one.  Our old compter system is a nightmare and I have to do most of gathering of info myself, roll on our new system and easier VAT return.

Think this week is catching up on me, my eyes are so heavy.

While I was pm'ing people yesterday notice a lot of new services that Bounty do, like Bounty Messaging etc.  Plus has anyone notice the icon at the bottom of the thread, you can share with Facebook or something as well others!

Have a nice time with the boys tomorrow Angela, sounds like your sil is good.  Nelson doesn't get hand downs, his so much younger than his cousins.  Although my sister did keep a couple of bits, got Erin's old sand pit, must be 20 years old.  She keeps telling me she has a whole house and set of Silvaniane (don't know whether I've spelt that right) Families in her loft, don't know whether she's hinting that I have it, but maybe a bit girlie for Nelson.  Hope your Nan has a nice birthday, don't think they mind what they get at that age, so long as you remember them, that is if she remembers you!

Better get back to the figures, now I've refocused, I feel another coffee coming on, know what you mean about dettoxing.

Hi everyone!! I seem to have been busy recently and haven't been online for ages - nothing to show for it though  - I guess the continuous cycle of feeding changing playing etc.... seems to make time vanish!  I hope the poorly LOs are now recovering. Alfie is being a star - now back on solids and is 6 months old on Saturday! He's also managing to sleep longer again - yippee!

Just a quick question - when do you introduce finger foods?

I will now try and catch up on everyone's news

    Hi All

Been in a pensions meeting this morning so only just catching up, yes it's my Friday off tomorrow so whoo hoo its the last day of the week for me, at least i get to spend one day with James while he's on half term, thank god for my wonderful sil who has him the rest of the time, i don't know what i'd do without her, my nephew is 9 months older than James so they're in the same school year and have been together all their lives so they're like brothers really, and they argue like them sometimes too.

I've got to visit my Nan on Saturday as its her 88th birthday, what do you buy someone who doesn't do anything, think it'll have to be a small bunch of flowers.

Lost two pounds at slimming world last night, if i carry on like this i'll be at target in errmm 2010, only joking!

Sarah, of course we'd vouch for you, forgot to say that last time, well done on selling all your old toys then, if i can get my head round it all i may well put the Zebra on here, Poor Jasp, i'll bet he is sooo nervous but i hope it all goes okay for him and they can sort him out. Nelson sounds like he's over the worst then, Mattie just has a chesty cough now and of course the ever flowing snotty nose, but then the's always got that.

Jo Another member of staff a gonner, everyone will be trembling in their shoes in your department. Aww poor Matthew with his sinuses, his antibiotics should sort him out though, hope you and Matthew don't get that nasty sickness bug off Ian.

Izzy, nice to see you back again, know what you mean about men making work when they're around, it's like i have 3 kids in our house but i bet you're glad he's home safe now after your traumatic time in England. We didn't have any snow either but it has been bitterly cold these last couple of days, we're just too soft here i think, LOL.

Jan, Mmmm did you enjoy the cake, it looked delicious. I bet the view of the snow on the hills looked great, you're lucky to live in such a scenic place. Lol at all the toys you got given, as Mattie's the youngest of all the cousins i get loads of hand-me-downs which i have to find a place for, i always feel a bit ungrateful if i moan but sometimes i haven't got room for all the stuff they're getting rid of. Thats funny about the giraffe singing all the way home, at least it was company!

Well must go and do some work, still a bit busy and no sign of my boss either, have a great weekend everyone, see you Monday.

Oooooo! Bounty totaly playing me up this morning, wouldn't let me back on until I'd re-started and run scans and what not.  Anyway luckily I saved, so part 2 follows.

Jo - Eye teeth are the fangy one's they usually get them after the first molars, their nasty.>>

Izzy - Great to hear from you.  I can really relate to it being more hard work for having dh back, sometimes I think it would so much easier without a man, but I'd probably miss the miserable old coot.  I've been doing the companies VAT return for years, so I've carried on with it, as I have it down to pat, so no biggy really.  Luckily our snow didn't hang around, lovely sunny autumn day today.  My teeth went bad while pregnant too I had to have a temporary filling while pregnant, and went back after I had Nelson and had that done and a replacement cap, all free while I still had the maternity exemption, took advantage for something given to us by government at last, saved myself over £200, mega pleased.  My friend at work goes to Turkey quiet often, she loves it, nearest I've been was Cos, you could see the Turkish cost from the beach I was lazing on ahhh!>>

Well better get back to the VAT Return.>>

    hi everyone

really busy now after such a quiet couple of days.  thought i'd give the bounty ladies first choice on the stuff i was selling didn't anticipate such interest.  been a pain sorting out payment etc, as i am not a regular on the forum but getting there.

nelson had another good night, but was a bit whiny this morning, think he woke all blocked up.  and he had snot dried on his face, the stuff dries so hard and sticks like glue, so hard to get off lol!  sorry to much info!

jasp a bit nervous keeps making jokes about his tests today.  his boss has been away this week and left him in charge and he's having to download job sheets on the computer at work, so funny, i got a telephone call yesterday morning from him crying help, as it had crashed and the printer had jammed, i had to talk him through sorting it out, how much do it techies charge £50ph?  he is such a technophobic!

heather - bounty playing up this morning too, wouldn't open our thread at first.  would you be classed as an essential worker?  and how do they get them out if your cut off?  i hate driving in snow too, but we don't usually get so much as you.  we're a bit old fashions here with our kitchen facilities, our building used to belong to a kitchen company so we have a fully kitted out kitchen and we have a hot water ern and our own cups (god forbid you use someone else's').  it was nice that your mum & dad got on.  my mum had been divorced twice, although she was ok with dad, but not that close.  he was still upset when she died, as he was 11 years older and expected to go first.  his 83 soon and feels he has to make up for her absence, bless him.  my mum passed away in her sleep in her own bed, which was just how she would have wanted it, but left us feeling we should have been there for her.

angela - glad mattie had a better night and you by the sounds of it.  i should go to be earlier but i'm a book worm and get really irritated if i can't at least read one chapter and then one leads to another etc.  if you have a bounce & spin zebra they will s*** your hands off on buy/sell.  that's what i sold first, still working on payment.  i only charged £10 plus postage, as i just wanted rid.  it was still up on my landing and i disassembled it last night, felt really sad i'll miss it sitting there, but it took up so much room and like mattie nelson just gave it swipe or a quick bounce now and again.  he didn't miss it this morning but was really interest in the pattern it had left imprinted on the carpet.  glad your work load has eased a bit, looks when your easies when mine will get more especially jan/feb.  hope your weigh in went ok, is it your friday off tomorrow, have a good weekend.

jan - no wonder it didn't take long to finished your cake it looked great.  must admit i've done what your colleague has i've brought toys and clothes in for the girls who've just had babies here, so they can take their pick when their in next.  laughed at the giraffe in the car.  remember once someone buying us a wallace & gromit clock for xmas and we'd put the presents in our bedroom out the of the dog and the alarm went off one morning and we were woken by wallace going 'get up gromit!' from this parcel!  it got us up though and why someone bought us a clock when i work for clock company i don't know?

jo - poor matthew hope he feels better soon, i'm worried nelson's cold might go to his sinus' mine has, i'll give it time over the weekend before the doc's i think.  god your staff turnover is horrible, are you getting any newbies as replacements?  thanks for the comment on nelson's cheeky grin, that is why everyone who meets him can't help liking him, just like me as a child lol!  eye teeth are the fangy one's  they u

it is doing it to me again...

...my mock A-levels were delayed for a week due to that. Did I spend the extra time revising?...ummmmmm!

Linda - I have a friend with a house in Turkey, though she and her dh live in Kent. He is Turkish so that go out there every year. The closet I have ever been was 4 hours in Istanbul airport just over a year ago! I was on my own with Maxim who was just 1 at the time and all the men made such a huge fuss of him. Funny how the women weren't that interested but the guys all talked to him and entertained him. We really should go and visit properly one day as it is one of the few places dh can go without a visa and we have direct flights. It must be sad shutting the house up for the winter - a real sign that summer is over.

Paula - hi! Hope you are OK.

Must get on with some work now. I just had to retype that last bit, so that was a few more minutes lost. Never mind!

    Take care,

    Izzy xx
