    Hi,

Thought I would reply to you, as I am going through exactly the same myself. After stopping bf ds (2 years ago) my levels were seeminlgy raised but gp did not tell me.  Last year I started getting horrendous hot flushes, nausea, dry eyes and very erratic periods.  After much consultation with gp peri-menopause was confirmed.  This is the name they give to all the symptoms whilst you are still (however erratically) getting periods.  The Menopause seemingly is when you have gone 12 months without a period.  I have been reading various books and visiting websites to check on symptoms, etc.  Menopause Online is good, as is earlymenopause.  Let me know how you are......

Hi; I wonder if anyone has any experience or knowledge. I'm 38 and before I fell for my ds (dd 3yrs) i had a hormon test and it showed peri/pre menopause. I expected this as the women in the family all have early ones. Anyway, since finishing bf 4 mnths ago my periods are erractice, well more the pmt is and i get lots of hot flushes. Anyway, what i don't understand is the difference between pre menopause and the menopause. Also, can anyone tell me how long all this will go on for? Thanks in advance.
