Hi - just read this too - that's excellent news!! In a week when a friend of mine just told me his wife has breast cancer I have been checking and double checking my boobs. I normally do it anyway but I just feel so much more aware of having to check now.

This is a positive outcome though and I think it really highlights the need to check and then the need to get it sorted double quick!! Enjoy your family. xx

I just saw this and wanted to say how pleased I am for you. It must have been really really frightening. What a huge relief. You are right, we all need to take note and check regularly. I know I am really bad about it. Sending you a big hug!

Hi - Further my previous post I just wanted to say thanks for all your lovely messages of support. Had my apt today and although he was worried when he first felt it, when he did the ultrasound he could that it was a huge cyst. I cried with relief - as I had spent most of the week thinking that I wouldn't see my children grow up. Anyway he stuck a huge needle in several places around it and drained it. About 50ml of this disgusting looking dark brown liquid came out of it.
I have to go back in 6 weeks to have it done again, as it will probably fill up again. If it continues to do so then I will have to have it removed. I also had a mammogram to be on the safe side and get the results tomorrow but I'm not worried. Been on such a high all day and it certainly puts life in perspective.
Please, please, please all check your boobs each month - if I had done, I would have known that a huge lump to come so suddenly would be nothing to worry about, as cancer is slow growing. But like everyone I know I never did, so was unaware how long it had been there - consequently thought that if it was cancer, it was so far gone that I wouldn't stand a chance. Therefore giving me and my family a horrible week of unnecessary worry - so please check them.
    Happy, happy Lisa x
