after having 2 children and getting divorced I didnt think I would ever have children again I had lost 3 babies before my first was born ,
then I met my current partner or should I say we got together as I had known him for a long time and we decided to have a baby together, I lost 2 more and then 5 years ago I had my dd .
I was 45 by this time and it was one of the best decisions we ever made I am so much more relaxed with her get tired quicker tho, if it wasnt for the fact my last pregnancy was high risk I think I would be tempted to have another but we have decided against that
with my first 2 I didnt go out to work but with my last I was working full time and still am so I know what a lot of the tiredness is in my heart Im still 21

Hi Julie
i too am mum again at 43 - i have a 13 year old lad but have been divorced from his father for 10 years - i always said i would never have any more children as it was so hard bringing Alex up on my own - Then i met a lovely fella 3 years ago who has always wanted children but never had them with his ex wife. We discussed it for some time and then i had a good think about it for around 6 months and decided Yes why not - he is a far better person than my ex and i thought i now have the chance again to bring up a child with a lovely man who i knew would be an excellent father! So we both visited the dr to check due to our age that all would be ok to try- we decided to try for only 18 months or so and if nothing happened then we would leave it due to our ages, as he is 46, but 6 months later i found out i was pregnant - although planned it was very much a shock and took me a while to get used to the idea. Anyway we now have a 3 week old little boy Elliott and my partner has exceeded my expectations and as i thought an excellent father - very hands on and as well as does everything with Elliott also manages to keep house going and shop, cook, clean etc - i am findng it difficult and fogot how much hard work it is but am enjoying it . Its amazing how much circumstances can change your mind about something as i was adamant i was never having any more children.
I live in West Bromwich which isnt so far from you. Tina.

Hi Julie,
I'm 43 too!! married to Rob, we have 5 kids, Stefanie(16),Nicolas(14),Jessica(4),Jamie(3 on Sunday) & Isabelle (10 months) - she was our little surprise!
Originally from Blackpool, we emigrated to Canada in August 2005 - when Jamie was 11 days old!!
I am a sahm and love being with the little ones all the time. I had to work full time when my older 2 were babies and hated it, so I really appreciate being home this time around.
Look forward to chatting

Hi Julie, Your story is very similar to mine..Spooky!! I'm Angie aged 44 and I have 4 kids aged 22 and 20 from my first marriage and nearly 4 yrs and 8 weeks with my second hubby, we also met at work and got married in 2003!! We also lost 4 babies and it was devastating at the time so feel so lucky to have our 2. Hubby is my toy boy but only by 11 months, lol but hey, it counts! I just wish I'd have met him sooner. I'm not from Walsall, I live in South Yorks so not too far away.
Look forwards to chatting!

Hi Julie,
My name is Louise and I'm 38. I'm also married to a Dave and we have two girls, aged 5 and 20 months. I'm from Sutton Coldfield although we now live in Oxfordshire. I come back to Sutton at least once a month because I miss the buzz of urban living. I lived in Walsall as a little girl (Bentley Gate I think!). I went to Allunwell Primary school.
I know how you feel about mcs. I had four of them. Its not a pleasant experience.
I look forward to chatting to you.

hi i am 44 now i have 5 kids and one grandchild. my grandchild and my youngest are2 since june and july there is only 5 weeks between them .it was a funnt experience being pregnant the same time as my daughter, was worried about her as well as myself, but the babies are both healthy and perfect and are great little buddies. my oldest is 22 then another girl 21 boy of 19 boy of 15 then the baby,i had 3 misscarriages on between the last two, so when i got pregnant at the grand old age of 41 was expecting another misscarriage, feel very blessed that he has been born fine.am completey knackered at the end of each day. but he makes up for it in all the joy he has brought to the home
