Basically they have kept me on 60mg at present, from 38 or 39 weeks they will lower to 40mg, as with 60mg you can't hve epidural for 24 hours but with 40mg you can have after 12 hours. So depends on when the LO arrives. But my consultant is still thinking of inducing me at 38/39 weeks so guess they will lower nearer the time. All a bit up in the air at the moment!!!  But off for my scan and seeing the consultnat this morning so should find out more, can't wait to see the little one again!

hope your well and all the clexane girls are ok.x.x

just out of interest hun, when do you have to stop the clexane??  i got told that when i think i'm in labour to stop but then when i got induced i had to wait 24 hours?? i didn't get told anything about the 12 hour gap to have drugs either?? i know that if it came to the point of me needing a section then it would be done under general anasthetic due to blood?!?

Yikes dont' i'm scared about the birth...  because of the injections docs said only have a 12 hour window to have any drugs but we shall see, to be honest I think they will induce me so should be all ok....  seems more real now!

I've got a scan tom 28 weeks I can't wait to see the LO again, bet he/she has really grown.

    Take care .x.x

    Hello girlies,

Back from my two week break which was lovely, so relaxing, although it was very very hot, sat in the shade everyday as just too hot for me and the bump, but pleased we went, nice to get away before the little one arrives and take it easy for a bit.

Moved to doing the injections in the top of the thighs now as bump is just getting too big but thankfully not too much brusing!

So how is everyone? Congratulations to Kelly and Amy on the birth of their little boys... that's fantastic news!!

I'm 27 weeks today, so getting there slowly, can feel the little one, kicking around all the time now and it still amazes me.

Off to the hopsital on Tues to meet the aneathatist and find out what his plans are for the birth, then back this Friday to have a growth scan to check the baby is growing ok and to check my blood etc and then meeting the consultant so a morning at the hospital but fingers crossed should all be ok. Will find out if they are planning to induce or not...

hope everyone is all ok and the jabs aren't hurting too much.

    Melly..x

    27 weeks TODAY!!!

    Morning everyone,

Emma thats great news, its such a wonderful feeling isn't it to be told things are going well, when we spend most of our time worring that they aren't.

Rustysusty, hope you're feeling better now, and the toothache has gone. I hate dental pain, there's nothing quite like it is there?

Congrats to the ladies with brand new beautiful babies. Well done to both of you, and fingers crossed that'll be all of us sometime in the next few months.

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried calling nhs direct, but they were only taking urgent calls, and so would have felt guilty taking up thier time.

So i found another packet of paracetamols, a different brand and purposly didnt read the booklet! I have taken 2 and already feel loads better......I can give birth 3 times drug free, but cant get through toothache for more than an hour!

I have definitely taken paracetamol whilst on Clexane, but have just never read the instructions, and nothing untoward has ever happened and I assume if it was dangerous the consultant would have said. And if you were perscribed them, they cant be that bad.

Thanks again....a not so miserable me

    Hi hun,

I really feel for you tooth ache is horrible. When I was pg last time I was prescribed paracetamol and codeine by my consultant while I was on 40ml of clexane, maybe call nhs direct and get there advice of what you can take. Hope you get it sorted take care x

Hi, Can anyone help me please, I have the most severe tooth/earache, and was just about to take some paracetamol and for some reason started to read the information booklet from the paracetamol.

It says, please contact docor before taking if you are taking Warfarins and other anticoagulants to thin your blood. Currently on 40mg of Clexane daily.

I am really tired, and in alot of pain, do you think it is safe for me to take a couple of paracetamols?

Many thanks...a very miserable me         13+6

    Hi everyone,

Its so good to come on to see all this good news, congratulations  Faye on your scan must of been the best feeling ever seeing your little bubs heart thumping away nice and strong. Congratulations to Amy on your ds charlie bet your so glad the jabbing is over with to.

Well I have good news to  I had my routine growth scan today and my lo is still bigger than average. I still cant believe it every time they say it to me, I am so used to being told my babies are to small its brilliant coming out of there feeling so positive when I have been pregnant before I normally leave there on edge fearing the worst. I have my steroid injections next week just in case he does decide to put in a early appearance but they really don't think that is a issue this time round. Well girlie's hope the rest of you are well. Take care emmaxx

    Hi Everyone,

Good news for us today. Saw our baby measuring exactly on for dates at 8+3. The sonographer was lovely and held my hand when I started crying. She gave me a couple of printouts and let me hear the heartbeat too. Then saw the obstetrician, who will scan me again at 15 weeks after my nucal at 12+3, and will arrange more scans depending on that. He said would definately need growth scans later on though, and will be on clexane until 34 weeks or so.

Hope everyone else is doing well

    Faye xx
