    Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Vicky, if anyone askes about the wrist bruises, just tell em your mans been tieing you up for a bit of the other

Melly glad your OK, must be difficult getting the needles into a tight bump Never mind not long to go now!

Emma hoping you're OK please let us know?

Contentedmummy hope things are OK with you?

Can feel my fundus is up to my tummy button this morning, so am expecting a huge bump increase soon. All the books say it jumps out once it goes above the navel? I actually slept from 10pm to 7.15 last night, so feeling good, although still sore from arthritis.  20 week scan on thursday, can't wait to see the baby again

Talk to you all tomorrow all being well.

    Take care

    Morning Girls,

Hope your all ok. Must admit having a few probs with my injections now, think its just because i'm getting so big and a bigt swollen so my skin is tough to get the needles in... heh ho, not long to go a week today and i'm being induced I really can't  believe it.

Faye - hope your feeling better honey, I know its a bit of a bore being stuck at home, but make the most of getting some rest etc, hope the pain gets better.

Vicky - hope you too are feeling better, and getting the hang of the injections.. like you say its not nice but definately worth it!

Emma / contentedmummy - hope your all ok too.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm feeling loads better now, although need to learn the art of this injecting thing because I'm black and blue!  And from all the blood gases I've had done I look as though I've been handcuffed      I'm getting myself into a panic, worrying that every ache or pain is a blood clot and I'm gonna die or something..

Trying to rest but with a three year old to look after its a bit laughable!  she's a wee monster at the moment..

Hope everyone else is getting on ok and your coping ok with these bloomin needles,

    Vicky x

    Morning All,

Just got back from the GP, and she's signed me off for 2 weeks. Don't normally like being off work, as get easily bored, but it's a complete relief in this instance, as it's exhausting having constant pain, from the arthritis. So will be in contact from the library for the next 2 weeks

Contentedmummy so sorry to hear that you too have clotted. Thank goodness they caught it early, before it moved.

Vicky, hope you're starting to feel better with the treatment and rest now?

Melly - plenty of relaxation hopefully for you and yellow bump.

Emma - WHERE ARE YOU? lol haven't heard rom you for ages, hope everythings OK with you and blue bump.

    Take care all of you.

    Love Faye xx

    Morning girls,

Hope your all ok and the injections aren't getting you down too much...  only 8 weeks of injections left for me.. can't wait...

Just a quick question has anyone had any skin pigmentation? I seem to be covered in these little white dots and just wondered if anyone else had... only come out in the last week or so. I did ask the MW on Tues and she said nothing to worry about and will go after pregnancy but doing my usual worry worry and just wondered if anyone else had had anything similar?

Hi Vicky, sorry about your stint in hospital.  I am 8 wks and have just had clots in my leg, fortunately they caught it before it went to my lung but I can sympathise with how you are feeling when you realise what has/could have happened.  The main thing is that you are both ok and will be checked regularly.  As for the injections, I had to inject myself during my last 2 pregnancies due a blood condition and I always did it into my thigh.  This time I was told to do it in my stomach but when I questioned why not my leg they said it was just preferable because it was absorbed quicker.  Still doing it in my leg, less painful.

    Hope everything goes well. x

Hi Everyone, thanks for the nice welcome..

I'm doing alright with my injections, was making the mistake of rubbing it when it was sore and now am black and blue lol.. I've yet to learn!  The doc told me I wasn't to put it in my leg as its more effective in my tummy.. and I've defo an inch of padding between me and the baby so ok in tum for now, although it hurts like hell..

I hope your all getting on ok, its such a worry - the stint in hospital has brought on some really awful panic attacks and I'm trying to keep calm for baby's sake.

    Vicky xx

    Evening All,

Just caught the library before they close at 7pm. Lips what a worry for you hon, but good that no trace of diabetes now. Let us know how you go at the next scan.

Melly 36 weeks, so close now yipee. Emma, hope you're well too, haven't heard from you for a while ?

Vicky, totally agree with what Melly and Lips say below hon, best of luck and hope you're feeling better soon, as the clot disperses.

Arthritis still giving it some, but have rested all day again. Going a bit stir crazy in the house all day, but know it needs to be done. Not seeing consultant til 25 weeks now, but see midwife at 20 weeks, and will tell her.

    Bigs hugs to you all

    Faye 18+3 xx

    Hello girls,

Faye, hope your all ok honey, good luck with the doctors on Friday, hopefully they will sign you off, sounds like your in a lot of pain honey, try and get as much rest as possible. When are you next seeing the consultant? I'd mention to him too.

Muffin - welcome hon, sorry to hear about your blood clots, but good that they caught them in time and are treating them as it can be so dangerous. I had a blood clot last year in my calf and was very painful. Anyway, no real side effects with clexane for the baby honey, just a case of getting used to the injections, which I know are not nice but will definately be worth it. I started off injecting in my tummy but now do the tops of my thighs as bump is too big i'm 36+3, and have been on clexane since 6 weeks. I'm sure the hospital will keep a close eye on you now, so good luck, keep us posted.

Emma - hope your all ok.

Lips - how confusing about the diabetes... what a nightmare, maybe the sonographer just got a wrong view of the little one..  thinking of you and hope the scan/consultant next Weds goes well. Keep us posted. I know the feeling with the rib pain, my little one keeps getting its foot under my ribs and it kills!!

    Big hugs

Sorry I didn't post earlier been a busy few days and celebrating my birthday

Well I am even more confused now than I was last week : ( I went to have my GTT test done on Monday morning and had the results back on Tuesday afternoon. I am now being told there is not a trace of diabetes in me or the baby

So I now have to wait to see my consultant again on Wednesday 22nd October - next week and for them to do another scan on the same day to see what the heck is going on inside me..

I cannot understand how when I went for the scan last week that the hospital say the babies stomach is distended due to diabetes and for it now not to be present in either of us when they did the tests.. So I will have to wait and see what conclusion they come back with after the next scan... watch this space.

I am still suffering with my bl00dy ribs and it is way too painful to sit for very long. I keep telling myself not much longer to go now.. and it will be so worth it in the end. I am counting off family events, concerts and birthdays in an effort to make the time go quicker..

The lady below this post - If you are not happy with putting the Clexane injections into your tummy then do them into the top fleshy parts of your legs. I have suffered with 7 miscarriages previously and that is how I have done mine since starting them.

I am now at 35 weeks + 5 days so I am doing very well for me

Hi girls, looks like I'm joining you.. I was admitted with blood clots on my lungs on Thursday.. then discharged on aspirin.. went to see my consultant yesterday who admitted me straight in and has put me on Clexane daily now.  Not impressed with injecting my tummy it hurts so bad!  I'm truly miserable from being in hospital it has been so depresssing and I dont' want to go back

Does anybody know what the possible risks are with Clexane and pregnancy?

Vicky - 28+4 with pink bump (due 2nd Jan)

PS - I'm 25, live in North Wales and already have a 3 year old girl xxxx

    Morning All,

Melly OMG 2 weeks to go thats nothing, no wonder you're excited.

Emma that means you must have a similar amount of time, fantastic.

Lips please lets us know how it went yesterday hun.

Well I've signed myself off sick for the rest of this week with my rheumatoid arthritis going mad. Can hardly walk cos its in my R ankle, and today put my back out trying to compensate for it   Am seeing the GP on Friday am, and will try and get her to sign me off next week as well, to give it a proper rest. Haven't slept properly for about a week and consequently am overtired and tearful too. Poor DF has been fantastic all huggles and love, sooo caring, I can't believe how lucky I am to have him. Gonna make his fav cottage pie tonight, to say thank you.

Back on again to check in tomorrow

Good luck hon, let us know how you get on.

Can't  believe my little one will be here in less than two weeks, spent the entire w/e in a panic, but am so excited now, can't wait to meet him/her and just know that everything is all ok.

Faye I agree on the clexane, see what the consultant says but mine was pretty strick about staying on until after birth etc etc...

    Take care all

Thanks for the good wishes ladies

Hopefully I will find out more on Monday when I have the GTT test again. As I said my wee sample was NAD so I was shocked when they said they thought the little one had diabetes due to his tummy shape.. On the chart it was way over on the stomach measurements compared to the height etc..

Will keep you updated on what they tell me on Tuesday when the results come back. I was talking to my friend and she said they delivered her SIL early due to her suffering with diabetes but that she had not heard of a baby having it and not the mother..

So I may become like a few of you a DIO instead of a DIN.. I just hope it isn't on the 26th of October as it is the first anniversary of my dads death as well.. Although my son will be chuffed if it is on the 31st of October as that is the day he becomes 18 lol..

Hope you all have a relaxing weekend and have plenty of rest xx

    Hi Everyone,

Lips, sorry to hear you're having such a bad time of it. Hope things go OK for you. I'm planning to try and get the consultant to keep me on the clexane till the end too, he wants me to stop at 34 weeks at tme moment

Melly, Yay induction, and on the 26th too, so October baby, not November. Great news for you. Thats 3 days after my 20 week scan lol, I'll be halfway there, and you'll be all done, with the really hard work just starting.

    Emma, hope you're well too.

Things good with me, been to an NCT sale this morning and got my first few bits and pieces, sleepsuits etc. Haven't dared until now, just hoping it doesn't jinx anything you know?

    Anyway take care

    Faye xx
