***> ***>update for all sorry its a bit long ***> ***> ***> ***>thank you for the good wishes and for those who asked i am due the 14th of november which if it is born on the edd it will be 18 years and two weeks after my first son was born.. but if your wondering why such a gap we have suffered 7 previous miscarriages and had never been tested nor given a reason until i got pregnant with this little one..***> ***> ***> ***>well i went for my scan on wednesday and i still couldn't get a clear scan picture as it was wriggling about way too much. it's still stuck up under my flipping ribs and you could see on the scan its backbone sat against my ribs so despite it moving so much i think i am just going to have to suffer the pain. she also said it hadn't got much space inside me left to grow into..  its still what they consider a long baby***> ***> ***> ***>when i had my son almost 18 years ago he was 57cm born and 7lb 10oz and hes almost 6ft tall now. i asked her to take a look at the sex again as we were told it was a boy twice before but one of my friends just had a baby girl (4th one) after being told it was a boy. but as she was logging the results during my scan she said she couldn't say what the sex was as its tummy was bigger than normal and that she thought it may have diabetes!***> ***> ***> ***>but the baby had measured ok in the rest of the growth scan with the legs, arms etc.. so i have no idea at the moment what will happen as my wee sample was tested on wednesday and the result was nad so i have to go back to hospital this monday for a new gtt test and then see what happens from there.. i have another growth scan booked in for the 22nd of october now instead of the 5th of november.***> ***>

i saw two consultants on wednesday as the first one who is not my normal one wanted to stop me taking clexane which i was worried about doing due to my history.

    ***> ***>

so i asked to see my normal consultant who over rode the other ones decision and told me to continue so i am still taking clexane, aspirin and folic acid. due to the siatic pains in my back and now from my ribs i am on strong painkillers..

***> ***>they haven't confirmed anything about being induced. but i have been told if it does have diabetes they will deliver early.. just not when.. and i really want to avoid having a c- section. i am told it is normally about 38 weeks if they do induce you but fingers crossed i will get to deliver normally with an epidural. but i am dreading a c-section happening around 38 weeks as due to a longer stay in hospital it would then clash with my son's 18th birthday party and everything is booked lol..***> ***> ***> ***>so that is my update for now.. sorry it is so long. hope everyone is keeping well and their bumps are behaving for them too. have a good weekend all and catch up with you on monday night if not before xx***> ***>

    Hello Girls,

    Hope your all well.

Faye - that's lovely news that you felt your little one move...  I remember at first the movements were varied, some days loads other days none, wasn't until I got bigger that I felt all the time, its amazing though isn't it... ahhh so pleased for you. Keep us posted.

Emma - I've got my scan tomorrow and seeing the consultant after so will find out about inducement then, he hasn't mentioned C-section to be honest, it was either a case of inducing at 38 weeks or letting me go natural, but i'll let you konw how I get on. I'm the same as you little one keeps kicking me under the ribs!!

    Take care

Thanks for the info hun, its reassuring.

Glad your little boy has shifted for you. It amazing how children never listen to their mothers, but do what other people tell them isn't it lol.

Next consultant apt is at 25 weeks, which I'm not that impressed about to be honest. Shouldn't they be checking every couple of weeks or so?

Never mind, If bubba is on for dates at 19+4 hopefully will be OK for another month or so.

    Take care

    Hi faye,

When I first felt movement it would normally be when I was in bed relaxed or led on the sofa in the evening, but it was not everyday at first. It took a few weeks to get daily movements then not long after df could feel him to. I told my little man what you said lol and you know what he seems to have listened so thanks I can finally breath normal again. Well its not long until your scan now bet you cant wait to see your little one again.
Have u discussed growth scans and stuff with your consultant yet hun or is that for next appointment?

    Well tc hun Emma+bumpyxx

    Morning Emma,

Yes 2 weeks today at 19+4 for 20 week scan. Glad your doing well. Give him a poke, you never know he might move for you lol. Tell him I said so

Haven't felt any more flutterings but pretty busy at work, so probably just not concentrating enough on  feeling it. Can you remember if at first when you feel lo, you may not feel again for a day or two, or once it starts, is it sort of regular/constant?

    Thanks

    Faye xx

Well girlies hope everyone keeps doing well speak soon. Tc Emma and Bumpy xxx

    Morning lovely ladies,

It sounds like you're all doing good still.

Emma, you get the birth exactly how you want it this time. Skin to skin sound really nice and comforting for the baby.

Lips how did your scan go?

Melly, best of luck with consultant appointment on Friday. Let us know if you can have the birth you want etc.

Well my big news is ..... I felt the baby move for the first time last night. Was laying awake as usual at 04.30 this morning, and turned from my side to lay on my back. After about 5 mins, felt a weird buzzing/whirring on the inside of my tummy down low ish, that lasted about 2 seconds, but strong, and definately there. I just lay there in bed with a huge grin on my face thinking, YES that makes up for no sleep yet again! When I got up 2 hrs later, and used the doppler, bubs heartbeat has gone from bottom right, where I always find it since 10 weeks, to top left, across from my tummy button. Its gotta be baby movement right?

    Hi girls,

Lips hips and thighs, hope your scan went well today and your little 1 stayed still long enough for a pic. Sorry don't if you have said already but when are you due hun? I think I remember you saying November. Do you know if you will be being induced?

Faye, hope your rheumatoid has calmed down hun and your feeling better.

Melly do you think u might have a section to hun? I really wanted to be induced this time but like I said in my last post it works out better to opt for a second section. I am asking not to have drapes up this time then I can see him born and then my df will cut the cord like he did with our dd, then he will be brought over and I will have skin to skin while stitched up. Well that's the plan anyway want everything to be as normal as possible. I didn't realise when I was having dd that I could request for these things so missed out on having it the way I wanted. It was still a lovely experience though. Keep us updated on how you go hun.

    Tc everyone xxEmma and bumpyxx

    Hello All

Just off to bed but just stopped by to see how you all are doing. Had a few days now of this little one wriggling itself silly and twisting into the wierdest of shapes along my tummy like there is no tomorrow so be interesting to see where it is settling later on today although my ribs still hurt.. which as other will testify is bl00dy painful..

I am off to the hospital this morning for another scan and I hope to be able to get a scan picture as last time he was hiding from us. This might be the last scan picture we get as I am not sure I will make it to my next booked scan as it stands now. I get  to see my consultant today too so fingers crossed I will find out when I am going to be having this little one..

Hope your all keeping well and your bumps are behaving Take care all x

Wow not long Emma that will be here before you know it!!  I'm not sure what the consultant is going to do with me, will find out Friday, can't wait to know to be honest.. I'm guessing will be a similar situation, as they didn't lower my clexane in the end so they won't want to risk going natural.. but i'll keep you posted.

Hope everyone else is all ok.

    Hello everyone,

Well things still looking good with me hopefully everyone else is the same.

Melly I am having a section on the 22nd october if everything goes to plan. I have another growth scan next week when I will be 37wk, if they still not happy with his growth then they will probably get me in then which is a week earlier. I did want to be induced but because of my previous section they wont due to the risk of scar rupture. Well the risks with me going into labour naturally will mean I could of just taken my clexane. So if anything does go wrong and I end up needing a emergency section I would have to go under and end up missing the baby being born. So to cut a long story short I decided to have a elective section. I am bit gutted about it now but my section with my dd was lovely and I got all the skin to skin contact and stuff so I am asking for it again. Plus my consultant who I see every visit and delivered my dd is doing it again which I am really happy about. Anyway sorry to have wittered on lol.

Tc everyone Emma and bumpy 35+4wk

    Morning Girls,

Hope your all well, sorry not been in touch, had my last day at work which was a bit manic... got lovely pressies and totally spoilt.. .bit weird being at home now!! Friday I saw the midwife, my blood pressure has come down a bit which is good, they are still keeping a close eye on me though. Seeing the consultant this Friday to have my 36 week scan and hopefully he'll finally let me know if he wants to induce or not... scared but excied to know what is actually going to happen.

Sairny - good luck with your c-section today, hope it goes well, keep us posted and let us know what you hve!!

Lipsnthighs - Let us know how your scan goes on Weds, good luck... my little one has been under my ribs too, its a killer isn't it... although it has dropped a bit now. My Midwife said fine to breastfeed but i'm going to check with the consultant on Friday.

Worcs - I agree bit of a pin cushion but as the other girls said all will be worth it in the end!

Contentedmummy - I had clots last year but haven't had during pregnancy, at least they have been caught early and you'll now be monitored honey, fingers crossed and keep us posted. I've been on 60mg Clexane and 75mg Asprin since 6 weeks, now just on Clexane until the birth and 6 weeks after.

Emma - pleased all ok at the scan honey, did they mention inducement or are they letting you go natural?  Bet you can't wait now!

Faye - pleased all ok with you too honey, 17 weeks.. so plesaed for you.

    Take care

    Morning everyone,

Sorry haven't been on since Thursday last week. Emma thats great news, so not long to go now.

Melly hope you and bump are doing well? Everyone else, hope you're all Ok. As Emma said, Can't remember all your names, but I agree, you do feel like a pin cushion, but I'm past caring as I've got to 17 weeks so far with this pregnancy, and only managed 8-9 before I was diagnosed. Yipee

I was also put on clexane from 6 weeks after a scan which showed heartbeat. Was on aspirin before that (and still am), to keep things good before the 6 week mark. Hope this helps, and hope your clots clear quickly.

    Faye xx

    Hello girlies,

Well My Doppler scan went lovely thank god. He has not really grown but they said he is probably evening out now because he has been a bit bigger on all my other scans so all is looking well.  I am booked for my last growth scan the Thursday before my section date, I am so excited now not long to go!!!

Sorry I cant remember every ones names but I know wot you mean about the bruises and lumps. I get fed up with them sometimes to but just keep reminding myself it will be well worth it in the end.

When I first find out I am pg I don't go to my gp's, I just ring my cons secretary and they get me in asap normally within a day or two. Once they have confirmed my pg's by scan and seen a heartbeat I start clexane. I have also been told if planning to conceive to start taking aspirin so I have normally been on that a few months before I got pregnant. I have never actually suffered a clot but have had clotting in my babies placenta so that's why I get treatment for it when I am pg. hth

Hope everyone else is well and having a nice weekend xxEmma +bumpy

Hi! Was wondering if anyone can help.  I have Factor V Leiden and am on my 3rd pregnancy.  The last 2 pregnancies I injected Fragmin which I presume is similar to clexane from about weeks 10/12, despite the gp sending referral letter at week 4.  Same happened this time, now 7 weeks with no appointment so nothing to prevent my blood clotting and yesterday I was diagnosed as having clots in my leg.  Now on injections and amazingly suddenly have appointment with haemotologist.

Bit of a long post but what I would like to know is when did anyone start to receive clexane, is it unusual to have clots so early?  Ta!

Glad all of you are keeping well and your bumps too *hug* I haven't been on for a few days due to a chest infection making me poorly : ( But I am feeling a little better now..

I am back at the hospital to see my consultant on Wednesday 8th Oct for another growth scan and check up as I have been told he is big for dates (but I know my dates are right). At the moment my baby is stuck up under my ribs which is a bit painful when I cough due to the chest infection but hes still wriggling all night.

When I go to the hospital next week I will be nearly 35 weeks so hopefully I will find out what they are planning to do with me and when I will be having him..

Is anyone else on the new style cleaxane injections with the spring in them which has a protective needle cover? The new prescription of clexane I had off the dr last week is like that and was a bit tricky to give myself in the beginning as the tube is bulkier than before. I swear the injection needles have doubled in thickness / size but on the plus size they don't seem to be bruising me as much.

A couple of questions I have after reading a few of your posts:

Do most people end up having their babies early when they are on clexane?

Has anyone been told not to breastfeed by their consultant or dr?

I asked my dr about it and he said after consullting his little meds book that is was ok BUT the leaflet in with the clexane says not to? Sorry for all the questions but if you don't ask you won't find out from those who have been there or who have experienced it..

Take care all, big hugs to your bups and remember as rough as you feel sometimes the end result is so worth it when they put that little one in your arms xx
