    Hi all,

Just to share with you all that I am booked in for a C-Section first thing monday morning at 38 weeks.

Have to go in for pre-op checks on friday then into hospital monday morning where they will do a blood test to check I am clotting normally after stopping the anticoagulants before taking me to theatre. I will have my last injection on sunday so it will be 24+ hours before the operation. I was to be induced, but baby is extended breech so its a section for me..

Can't belive i'll actually be a mum in a few days!

    Hi girls,

    Hope your both ok today.

Emma sorry to hear about your little one, i'm sure it will all be ok, if the CTG was good and they say he seems content etc then no harm if he does come a bit early... fingers crossed though they let you keep your original date, your having a c-section aren't you? Keep us posted and big hugs and much love from me and my bump!

My little one hasn't stopped jumping around for the past few days, he/she has been really active!!  Seeing the midwife tomorrow for my blood pressure/urine check, so fingers crossed all ok.

    Morning ladies,

Oh Emma, what a worry for you. At least he sounds content where he is at the moment. Keeping everything crossed for you at the scan on Friday. The placenta doppler should show up any problems shouldn't it, and they can get him out safe and sound if there are? How scarey for you both. The hospital sound like they're on the ball though, and only one more day to wait for the scan.

Sending much love and 'keep growing' vibes for your blue bump.

    Hello girls,

Well had my growth scan today and they are unsure if he has stopped growing, so I am booked for a doppler scan Friday to see if the placenta has deteriated. They took me up to the ward for ctg monitoring today and he had a lovely trace they said so he seems happy enough in there at the moment. They said if they not happy with my scan on Friday they are going to deliver him earlier so I dont know whats going on at the moment. Feeling a bit worried about it never really thought about him coming early, I dont feel prepared. I have my fingers crossed he stays put until the date we have booked, but what will be will be I suppose.

Well Tc girlies and bumps xxx Emma

    Morning girls,

Hope your all ok, had my Bld Pressure checked again yesterday and its still stable so that's good. Back to the MW on Friday for another Bld Pressure check and urine and hopefully that will be fine too, must admit feel so much better than I did last week and I agree, think knowing tomorrow is my last day at work really helps!! YEAH!!!

Faye - course will keep in touch and will let you know how I get on with the labour, can't believe it could be as little as 3/4 weeks away...  MAD

Aishling - No I don't have to do daily protein checks either, they check my blood pressure twice a week at the moment but sure that will go down to once a week after friday and they check my urine once a week too but other than that that's it... feeling much better though.  How old is your little one now? I'm getting nervous about actually being at home with teh baby...

Emma - hope your feeling better sounds awful honey...  poor you, and hope the growth scan goes well today, keep us posted.

    Morning Emma,

You poor thing, you must be so pleased to be out of the hossie, and home with DD.  You must have been terrified! Best of luck with the growth scan today, let us know of course.

I'm 16+3 today, so long way to go yet. I think I'll feel a bit easier after viability at around 24 weeks.

    Hi Girlie's,

Aishling-I never had to test mine either I know they test it every week when I go up to hospital but that's it. How come they tested yours hun?

Faye-Hi hun, how far are you now I know your over 12wk aren't you? And don't worry will always be popping in after babies born I want to know when your little bundle of joy arrives.

Melly really glad your test results come back good, and your bp has lowered starting your mat leave must of helped.

Well I had a bit of a drama on Friday night I was having bh all day and they were getting worse and worse as the evening went on. Anyway had also got bad guts to and was vomiting lots so df took me to delivery suite. Turns out I had food poisoning and my stomach cramping and being sick was making my bh stronger which I was told could start labour. Anyhow I was very dehydrated so they kept me in on Iv fluids. I was desperate to get home and see my dd I was missing her like crazy. They advised me to not have any visitors to because it could be contiguous. So only person to visit me was df and he just sat there watching golf on the tele lol. Anyhow I managed to be set free on Sunday was still tender but glad to be out of there.I was really looking forward to my section in 3wks but I am dreading it now the thought of being stuck in hospital longer than a day or 2 makes me want to cry.Anyway I have another growth scan today so will get back on at some point this week to let you all know how it went.

Well hope everyone keeps well Emma +blue bump xxxx

    Hi Aishling,

Hope you and baby are well, I'm doing well so far. Still can't relax though, and still listening twice a day to the heartbeat on my doppler. I don't have to check my urine at all, let alone daily? Why did you have to do that, and at what stage? Midwife/consultant check it at each appointment, but 3 weeks till my next one.

    Morning girls,

Firstly good news, been back to the clinic this morning and had my blood pressure checked and although still high its come down considerably from Tuesday which is fab, they are still keeping an eye on me, back next Friday for further BP check and urine check but so relieved. Looks like my day of chilling on the sofa seems to off worked.

Sorted work out now too, at home today, then in Monday, Thursday then that's it, i'll start my maternity leave, I can't wait!!

Emma, pleased you are all ok, I agree they have changed my clexane / plan for birth etc throughout my pregnancy and I still don't know, i've got my scan on 10th Oct and will find out then if they are going to induce me or let me go natural... we shall see! I'm trying to take it easy too, like you say not easy but do try honey... I've cancelled all plans so I can chill out for the weekend and do nothing!  Bliss! I'm due 9th Nov, so 34 weeks this Sunday, I think you are just before me?

Faye - we are having a surpise too, so a yellow bump, I change my mind every day one day I think its a girl then a boy... can't make up my mind. Keep us posted on what the docs/consulantant say honey, thinking of you.

LipsnThighs - I was told its safe to breastfeed on Clexane but i'd chdeck with the consultant honey.

    Take care all.x.x

    Morning Ladies,

Thanks Emma, Yes you and Melly are right, wait and see what happens nearer the time. My obs consultant is going to discuss with the haematologist anyway before I next see him, and see what she recommends. Please try and take it easy with as much rest as poss ( other lo's allowing). Hopefully your swelling and BP will be stable and you can get through the next few weeks. You're both so close now, its so exciting.

Emma, No we're gonna have the sex as a suprise at the birth, but I quite enjoy trying to guess what sex it might be (wedding ring tests, chinese gender tests etc).

Lipshipsandthighs, congrats on your pregnancy and thanks for the clexane info. I'm not on the 60mg doses (only 40mg) so doesn't affect me for the recalled batch. Can't answer your bfeeding questions as not sure, but one of the others will probably know.

    Take care everyone

    Hi girlies,

Faye, I tend to agree with melly hun you are better off doing as the doctor asks. I know its hard and we worry about the what ifs but I am sure they will keep a very close eye on you.  You never know your cons may have changed his mind by then, what was planned at the beginning of my pg has gone out the window and been adapted to whatever suits the situation best at the time. Bet your looking forward to your next scan hun are you going to be finding out the sex or are you having surprise?

Melly hun I have been the same as you hun swelling up and high bp, I am up there weekly now to I have also to go for a ECG to as I keep getting palpitations. I think they are probably down to the stress though as this whole bp thing is making me panic a bit. They have told me to take it as easy as I can, but find it hard with a inquisitive 20 month old. I am 34wk now so not long until my elective section, it just under 4wk away. Well that's if my bp does not rise any further or anything else. Fingers crossed. Well I hope you manage to get a bit of r+r in and hope working from home makes things easier for you hun. We both have similar due dates if I remember right so not long and we will have our bundles of joy.

Take care girlies Emma+blue bumpy xxx

    Morning girls,

Pleased your scan is all ok Faye, that's great news... not long to go for the next one, it will fly round.

As for the Clexane yes you can get prescriptions from your GP that's where I get mine from, but I really wouldn't carry on taking it unless advised to by GP or consultant. Each person is different and they keep you on / take you off for different reasons. I was originally told i'd be on Asprin till after the birth but they are taking me off at 34 weeks now and keeping me on Clexane but its only as i've had a few problems. They will monitor you and decide definately whether to take you on/off nearer 35 weeks so wait and see what happens honey. Don't mean to sound negative but the doctors tend to know best honey.... and have you and your babies health foremost in their minds.

Good luck, hope everyone else is all ok too.

    Take care

    Hi girls,

Melly sorry you're having such a hard time of it. Hopefully you can do a bit from home, and keep your feet up etc.

Scan fine yesterday. Mum was finding it hard to see what she was looking at, as she's never seen a scan in action before. Had to point out head, spine etc. I think baby was asleep, as just the odd couple of jerks and no movement other than that. He didn't measure anything, just said normal fluid levels.

Next scan is the 20 week one in 4 weeks today, then seeing him on the 26th November 4 weeks after that. He's still saying he wants to stop the clexane at 34 weeks, which I'm really not happy about

I'm considering trying to stockpile some clexane, and just keep going with it anyway. Can I get a prescription from my GP for it, or does it have to be prescribed by consultant? My GP knows I'm on it as they wrote to him, so was hoping to get a repeat prescription.

    Hope everyones all OK

    Faye xx

    Hi Girls

Faye hope your scan went ok.

Unfortunately not great news from the midwife, baby is all ok, moving ok and heartbeat ok etc, but my blood pressure is still a bit high and because of the headaches and swollen legs they really want me to rest now and pack up work.  Easier said than done i've got two weeks left, but have spoken to work and am going to work from home and do a bit in the office just to hand everything over and then finish next Thursday. Having to have weekly blood pressure and urine checks now, so I reckon they will definatley induce me!

Heh ho it will be worth it in the end.x.

    Afternoon ladies,

just bumping us up from the bottom of the page. 15 week scan tomorrow ( at 15+3) and consultant apt. Can't wait to see bubba again, and hoping for yet more scan piccys. Afterwards going shopping with Mum for maternity clothes as now can't fit into anything suitable for work when I'm doing my management time. Have ordered mat uniforms for when doing clinical stuff( I'm a nurse) but they take about 2 months to come!!

Melly can't believe you're 33 weeks already; Yay nearly there

Hope all mums and babies doing great. Will update tomorrow after scan

    Love Faye xx
