    Hi Faye,

I bet u were petrified, your midwife was brilliant though getting you scanned so quick it must of been such a relief. The same happend to me in this pregnancy from about 8wk all the way up until 16wk it was so scary I was always up at the epau being scanned and things for reassurance. But lucky everything has been fine since, and I am now 32wk.

Melly hope your managing to take it easy hun and keeping your feet up easier said than done I know.

Hope all the other girls on here are well to. Take care everyone Emma xxx

    Morning everyone,

Terrfiying day yesterday, had a bright red bleed when went to the loo ( if you know what I mean). Only on paper when wiped, but I immediately paniced, and rang midwife. She was amazing and had me in for emergency scan within 3 hrs.

Thank God baby all fine and is now 77mm at 13+2 up from 65mm at 12+3, so good growth rate, clear HB and no signs of where bleeding came from. They think cervical erosion bleed,  made worse by the clexane.

I stopped bleeding pretty much straight away, and theres now just a bit of old blood there when i wipe, but not much of that even. Scared to go to the loo again now        I'm not even constipated, as all I eat is friut these days!

Went ahead with telling parents yesterday evening, and they're sooo excited, which was nice.

    Hope everyones OK

    Morning everyone,

Thanks Mel, thats helped to ease my mind a lot. Brain working overtime at the moment. Falling asleep early 9-10 ish every night, then awake by 1am, and lying awake the rest of the night. Consequently knackered, and allowing myself to worry more than I probably need to.

On a brighter note, we've decided to tell my parents tonight, as hard to hide my weight gain/ bump now. Bursting out of my jeans, and haven't seen the folks for 2 weeks as they've been on holiday. First grand child for them, so they'll be very excited I think.

It's so could to be able to come on here and ask whats normal etc, thanks so much everyone for the support.

Hey ladies I'm from 13-18 month thread, just gatecrashing. I have FVL and had as normal pregnancy as you can. Used clexane and aspirin from about 10 weeks. Baby grew as normal. I was closely monitored with my sister having a stillbirth (She has also got FVL). You can't have an epidural if you took your clexane same day so I was induced by hospital. Unfortunately baby didn't was to be born and had to go for a section after 36hours in labour! Born healthy at 7lb 5oz. Continued using my clexane until about 6 weeks after birth. I would definitely go thru it again. Wasn't too bad.

I was diagnosed after having 2 clots on my lung after a routine operation. Later tests showed that my dad and sister have it. As well as some of my dads family. I was very ill at the time but thankfully it hasn't held me back.

Although I would like to give up the smoking!

    Morning everyone,

Sorry I haven't been on in ages, been signed off for a week and a half with morning sickness, and haven't got internet at home. Am sending this from the library. Hope you're all OK and the lo's are growing well.

Just got back from the nuchal scan this morning, and bubs is 6.5 cms CRL with a nuchal fold of just 1.1mm so thats good I think. Now have to wait a week for the blood tests which were taken today, for my risk levels to come back. Not telling my parents until got the results and they're OK, so will be about 13 and a half weeks by then.

Still not showing yet, so think I'll get a way with it a while longer. Next scan at 15+3 which I'll take Mum to, so she feels involved too.

    Take care

    Faye 12+3 xx

    Hi hon,

Kerrie noticed on the box of the pregnacare it says not to take if on anti-coag drugs, so i've stopped taking them and am now on the santogen ones... they are just as good but don't have Vit K in them. I would swap just in case...  or speak to your consultant  / MW about it. Someone else (sorry can't remember her name) took pregnacare throughout and was fine so I wouldn't worry too much.

Hope that puts your mind at rest a bit...

Clackie I agree with Emma Louise, you should definately be consultant led, i'd definately be on the phone to the MW to demand to be seen asap.  I've got FVL too and have been on clexane since 6 weeks with check up's scans etc...  dont' want to worry you either but would definately investigate.  Fingers crossed.

I'm now 30 weeks and getting very excited...can't believe i'm on count down now.

Take care everyone hope the jabs aren't too sore.

    Hi Girlie's,

    Hope everyone is well?

Clackie I cant believe your hospital I would be furious. I would be demanding consultant led care. I cant believe that they are putting yours and your child's health at risk for the sake of keeping there numbers down. I don't mean to scare anyone but I lost my first 2 angels quiet late on at 22wk and 29wk I then had a early mc, during these pgs I was not on any treatment. With my dd I was started on clexane right from the start I was scanned regular and they really kept a good eye on me. She was born a little small but perfectly healthy. Because my treatment worked the first time I assumed it would every time but I found this is not the case during my last pg I lost my ds at 17wk. I could not believe it, I never expected I would have to go through that again. I thought the treatment meant I would be fine. Since then I have had a talk with my consultant she told me fvl affects every pg differently and they don't know why so for that reason I will always be monitored very closely when pregnant. Surely this should be the same for every women who has fvl especially if it has caused problems in previous pregnancies.

Well I am doing ok I am 30wk and still not organised, I have another growth scan next week to so hopefully everything will still be on track with his growth. Hope the jabs  are not stinging to much. Take care xxxm and bump

    Hello,

I am new to this forum - kinda wish I had known about it during my pregnancy as it must be so comforting and supportive to speak to others who are in a similar position .  Although I made a point of not researching and reading too much as it tended to stress me out more...

So a quick summary of my story - had a couple of miscarriages and then was diagnosed with Proten S deficiency...one of the blood clotting disorders that can lead to miscarriages.  When I feel pregnant was put on 20 mg clexane - despite the daily injections, had a good pregnancy (albeit with a fair bit of anxiety and worry), and am pleased to announce that 4 weeks ago I gave birth to a gorgeous little baby girl.  I still can't really believe it...really surreal as at one stage I questioned wheher I could ever have children...

Am still taking the clexane for another 2 weeks. I also had a lot of confusion about what to do with the birth  - induction, spontanous, epidural, 12 hours etc, etc.  In the end was induced at 39+6 weeks as they discovered that Leia's growth had slowed down a lot and said there was no need to wait as I was at term- induction went well and only needed 1 tablet and she was born very quickly, no time for epidural, but was happy to have been able to do it without  - gave me a real sense of achievement.

She was on the smaller side of the normal range at birth - 2.82kg (I think 6lb something?) but nothing that concerned any of the docs, and has already grown to 3.48kg (7ib something), so am very pleased.  Like I said I still find it amazing that I have her in my arms and she is the real thing!!  Believe me sometimes in the middle of the night when I am feeding her and I am in a sleep deprived daze...it does all feel like a dream!!

So - to all the ladies that are still expecting...all the best wishes to you and your little bundles of joy!!  May your pregnancies continue to be good and healthy and the bruising at a minimum, and may you have good and healthy labours - and they go the way you want.

Hope your all ok. I've stopped the pregnacare tabs and gave them to a friend, will try and get the santogen ones today, thanks Kerrie... still can't believe the MW or docs don't warn us about them, I know it says on the box but hadn't seen it!!

    Take care all.x.x
