Thanks ladies for all your nice words. I will try and join you more on the various threads on here. I just seem hungry all of the time whn I diet and then I get a take away! My biggest vice (well, that and red wine!)
But thanks and I will take on board what you all said

Hey Hun, on a typical day I have two weetabix with skimmed milk for breakfast - a diet yogurt for break, two slices of whole meal bread with turkey/ham with salad and a lf spread/coleslaw for lunch - dinner I'll have meat with loads of veg!
I drink two litres of water a day and stick to only 2 slices of bread as recommended! No point in cutting carbs out completely because when you start eating them again, the weight will just pile back on. We have the weekly weigh in thread and Fi's food diary where we write down what we're eating! You're more than welcome to join us there! I know exactly how you feel, I still have 1 1/2 stone to lose and don't even like going out because the same as you, I don't like what I see in the mirror! Hun we can support you if you need support and I wish you every success, I'm sorry you're feeling do down about things, but there are a lot of us on here that know how you feel x

Hi Hun,
I too felt like this when I had my little boy in dec 07 & since then am now back down to my prepregnancy weight,it has not been easy & still isn't trying to maintain but I do find exercise is defaneltly the key.
I have set times of the day also of when I eat I have porrige for breakfast which does fill me up & keeps me going til lunch time & i try & snack on fruit if I get peckish during the day but I do let myself have treats now I am at my target weight.
I do my exercise regime when dh comes in from work as he will take over & look after the kids I have equipment in my garage so this helps, you could always do a dvd workout once your lo goes to bed.

This prob wont help that much but I have found having set times for my meals help. Breakfast before 9am, Lunch before 1pm and Dinner before 7pm. I will have a treat mid afternoon when I relax a bit (tea n biscutis) and fruit as snacks if I am peckish through the day.
Meal wise I suggest toast/cereal etc for brekkie, lunch I try ot have a soup,s/wich, yogurt and for dinner something filling yet healthy.
It is very hard to stick to with a wee one, but it has helped me,I also try and go for a 30min walk once a day with baby and my dogs, and do 10 mins on my fitball when I get a chance. When I feel more up to it going to go back swimming and hopefully will try running in the morning when hubby at home to look after kiddie.

I no longer feel like myself. I hate what I see in the mirror. Even when I dress up to go out I no longer like what I see.
I want to lose around 2 stones by November but I don't really know how to do it. I need something that won't make me starve (I love food!) but also something that all the family can eat (dont' want to cook two meals of an evening) and all that jazz.
I also wondered if anyone had an exercise plan that has worked for them...something I can do witha 2 year old around! Lol!

Water does really help and ahving raw veg and fruit cut up for a snack is always a good idea! If you feel hungry and you can get outside, take a ten minute walk and see how you feel when you get back in! Good Luck Hun x
