I have beed doing atkins for the last week and have lost about 5lb ( so just another 3 stone to go then!

hi there can i join in im new to this forum, my names charlotte had my baby boy on 7th july n im getting married on april 7th next year so really need to loose weight! i was 14 n 1/2 on mon 8th n a size 18 id be happy to be a size 12-14 for wedding but wanna loose first 2 1/2 stone by xmas! heres hoping iv joined gym n been mon, wed, n tomorrow(sat) not doing a specific diet just cut out all junk n eating 3 balanced meals low in fat n low calories n also snacking on fruit im also allowing my self a treat once a week to keep me going , would really like some support n to support others so can keep motivated ! ! i also do school run at least once a day which is 1 1/2 mile round trip walking if youve got any tips on how to loose it or meals ect would really appriciate xxx

hey all can i join in im stacey and i need to lose a bit of weight as im starting to feel down im around 14st and im just eating crap thats all. i need some motivation and reading your threads made me feel more up for it i must start. i have no idea what diet to follow and i have a very flabby overhang type belly so id love to get rid !!!!

Well I have weighed in this morning at 9 stone 13lbs, which means I've put on a couple of pounds over the summer. I've been stuck aroune this weight for about 5 months! In total I have lost 2 stone 2lbs, and I think I will try and lose another 13lbs. Not going too badly at the moment, but am feeling hungry so am going to have an early lunch!! Dp's made me scrap the detox, so am just doing eating healthily instead, nothing complex, just no junk food, and plenty of exercise and water
. I had a really bad headache last night, and ended up going to bed at 9 oclock. Then i woke up this morning and felt like crap, still had the headache and was really tired even after 9 and 1/2 hours sleep!I didn't realise that just one day, could make you feel so bad.

I've not had a bad first day. I am doing weight watchers and have limited myself to 20 points for the first two weeks.
I seem to be fine all day, then when the evening comes I just want to pig out. Does anyone else have this problem?
So tonight I'll be going to bed feeling hungry and craving many sweet things but at least I'll be one day down on the first week.

Hey - wow what a big response!!
My 1st day has gone ok I think! I am only doing a boring boring low calorie diet though nothing fancy. So today I have had 1250kcals and that's all I'll be having. I'm going to be doing 1200kcals during the week then 1500 at weekends. Will eventually go down to 1000 kcals MAYBE but nto sure if that'll be too low considering Im runnig round after lo all day.

Hiya there!! I will let you know the exact amount tomorrow, but I think it will be around a stone. I really need some motivation. My son is back at school now and my little one has turned 1 in August, so it's time to be firm with myself!! I am a self confessed chocaholic, biscuitaholic, crispaholic........ etc.......

Hey Kate, i'm one of the origionals from that thread too. I gave up for quite a while though, i think i just wasn't ready and had no willpower to diet though. Finally doing it now though, i feel ready!
Well done on such a great loss over on the other thread. How much do you have left to lose? I still have the same amount left from when i first started at new years lol. 1 stone.

Hello everyone. I am originally from 'My New Years Weight Loss' thread, but people seem to have disappeared from there. I shall still post there though. I lost over 2 stone with them, but I think I've put on a bit over the summer holidays and will weigh in tomorrow. What really helped was having a start weight and each week we posted our loss and then someone compiled a chart. It was really motivating to see the losses each week and then we had a slimmer of the week etc. If you want to, I don't mind doing it, just message me your start weight and then your loss (hopefully!) each week. What do you think? I need some motivation as I think I need to lose about a stone more. Kate x

God today has been so hard. I've done it though, all i've eaten all day is fruit and all i've drank is water. Plenty of both though lol. I need to go to bed soon to stop the temptation of eating something i shouldn't.
I just cooked dp and the girls steak and didn't even want any really, which i guess is good.
I've walked 4 miles today too, and am taking dd2 to the soft play centre tomorrow, so get to burn a bit of flab that way lol. Tmorrow is vegetable day, i'm allowed a potato fo breakfast to build my energy levels up a little bit, and then as much veg as i like for the rest of the day, Going to try and be creative with my veg lol.
How have all of your 1st days been?

Hi ladies, have decided to start right now!! Was going to start tomorrow but what better time then the present, feel quite motivated now!
Just weighted myself and am heavier then i though so have about 3.5 stones to loss.

I'm starting my diet today. I have 5 stone to lose but find that way too daunting to think about at the mo. So I'm aiming for 2 stone over the next twelve weeks.
That will take me up to my holidays then I'll continue with the rest when I get back.
I had previously lost 5 stone but have put about 3.5 back on due to medication I have to take.
I know it will be a struggle but I'm sure if we support each other we will get there.

I started the Atkins diet yesterday!!! have 4.5 stone to lose and have to strat losing some serious weight before going back to work.
Still in my maternity clothes which is getting me down
We can do this!!!

i am not actually starting a new diet but, starting again on my diet tomorrow . does that count . I have been really bad. But i have lost 2.5 in 2 weeks tho so hopefully i can carry on loosing
