THE SCAN IS TODAY HOPEFULLY DH CAN GET OFF WORK TO COME WITH AS I HAVE 4 BOYS

they want to know why these veins are swollen and are going to rule out something else like a hernia thats making these veins bulge ,the ultrasound on monday should do that x

Hi I just read a bit about it and a hydrocele is a mass of fluid in the testicle and a variocele is swollen veins in the testicle.  I'm not sure what they do for a variocele but from what I have read it looks like there is an op that can be done although it may not be appropriate for your son.  It just takes some pressure from these veins.

hi hun my ds is 2 and a half nearly he has to go for an ultrasound on monday do you think they will do anything for him x

Jake had a hydrocele - is that similar?  His went away on its own eventually but it would have been a small op had it still been there at 2.  His was cos of his prematurity HTH
