My daughter has terrible eczema and she has a daily antihistamine to help with the itching. Why not ask your gp to prescribe one for you? She also has piriton on the advice of our consultant to help with the itching and to help her sleep better.

hi i have a 9 yr old ds who has bad excema pretty much all over been using a new cream which brings it out so it can heal it but 10 days later were no further forwad because he wont stop itching it ive tried piriton but thats not helping and ive explained that if he scrathes it it wont get better but he says he cant help it must be realy hard for him but i just wondered if anyone had an ideas of how i could try and stop him scartching it its wen hes in bes see mainly so im not there to stop him

Sorry i misread yoyr post lol. You could try a diiferent antihistamine or talk to your dr about wet wrapping. This will help your son to stop scratching as it soothes the skin but its also covered up so harder to scratch in the first place.
