    Hi girls,

thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it. As if it isn't stressful enough having to deal with your lo being ill/unhappy every day you then have to worry about what you have to do to get a doctor to care about them enough to do something. I am getting more and more stressed the closer the appointment gets cause I don't want to waste it by not being forceful enough (if thats needed) cause I am usually a big wimp but I also don't want to come across as a know it all and get their back up. I just wanted a bit of reassurance from people that I am not going mad and the knowledge to enable me to stick to my guns till I get my little princess sorted. Weaning will be coming up in the next 6 weeks or so and if she isn't happy enough yet on just milk I am dreading introducing other stuff to her diet.

Any other advice or back up from the Bounty Mummy Experts ???? It's all greatfully received.

Hi, sounds exactly like my LO, she was put on pepti junior as she has a dairy allergy. The difference since being on this is amazing. Smelly wind, tummy ache, reflux, colic, green poo and lots of dirty nappies each day were my LO's symptoms. Shewas put on wysoy for two weeks, this made her constipated, but i gave her lots of water with a little bit of fresh orange juice in, plus and extra half ounce of water. The dietican though did say babies under 6 months should not have wysoy, even though the sma website says it is suitable from birth. Ask your doc for pepti junior. in my opinion it is a miracle worker, as I was on the verge of a breakdown with my lo. My doc did the allergy tests too, I had to push for it, but he eventually did it. Gud luck, xxx Ps my Lo's weight gain was always good too, and becasue of this hv and doc said she was fine. Push for a dairy free formula,xx

Hi Christina i am sorry to hear about Eleanors symptoms, it definately sounds like reflux and maybe allergy/intollerance or both. It is hard as obviously Eleanor as gained weight which is what Zoe did in fact she is on the 98th centile never mind the 50th she as milk allergy or she did have but her blood test says different so i don't know what is going on but something isn't right as her total ige which is her antibodies are 291.0 with ref range of 0.5-29.0 so they are very high. The dietician said she can't believe that they didn't do more tests. But i am not saying any more. But as for them putting on weight and allergies you hv knows naf my hv thought that also she just kept saying some babies have a constant cough and ruckle and sound like they have cf. Sorry my trust in the nhs is zilch at the mo, i am fuming. But go to a pead and ask them to do allergy tests and reflux tests on your daughter so you can get the answers that you need so your daughter can be treat right. My daughter had a barium done at 10.5 mths old because she was fobbed off by docs and hv as just one of them children, anyway once she got referred she had barium and it showed reflux, she was put on nutramigen milk which stopped the coughing but now i don't understand if she is testing negative to milk allergy. Hope you get your daughter sorted out. Good luck. Sharon x

Hi All - I posted a thread before going back to my GP about my dd's vomiting etc and cause I wasn't happy it was just reflux - see below info on symptoms. Sorry it's so long.

I am totally at a loss as to what to do. Eleanor is 19 weeks on friday. She was prescribed gaviscon when she was 6 weeks for reflux but we had to stop it when she became very constipated (she was solely breast fed till 10 weeks when we had to introduce formula cause I was ill) the SMA GOLD seemed to make the constipation even worse so we were told by hv to put her on Cow & Gate Comfort which seemed to solve that problem but she is still sick a LOT. She can project it but doesn't always but she is sick several times between feeds - there is never a time when it's safe to remove bibs and we will go through several between each feed and usually several outfits a day (4 in less than 2 hours when visiting a friend the other day). She is sick time and time again till it is eventually like water. She also seems to get tummy pain and builds up till the evening like colic but this isn't always severe every day. She also has terrible smelling wind which she has pretty much had from day one. I was just so glad when the constipation stopped cause she screamed off and on all day then but this is just stressing me out.

Health visitor said she doesn't think she has alergy/intollerance cause "she doesn't look like a baby with that" whatever that means and cause she has steadily stayed on the 50th centile since birth but she has up to 11 bottles a day as well as a couple of small feeds from me so she must be keeping enough down. She also always seems to have slightly dark eyes and her soft spot is always a little sunken which the doc said is sign of dehydration so that can't be good for her.

She does get a very pale rash from time to time on her tummy, arms, back of head legs as well. as tiny patches of what looks like excema. Unfortunately these come and go so aren't always there.

When I went to the GP she areed it could be milk intollerance as well as reflux and prescribed Wysoy. We gave this to her for a couple of days and her sickness did seem to improve a bit but within 2 days she had become so constipated she was bleeding and screaming cause she couldn't get it out. I don't knwo if this was because of the soya or if SMA milks just constipate her. We went back on the C&G comfort and the GP has referred us to the paediatrician. Since we went back on the C&G her sickness is worse than ever, her poos aren't just soft anymore they are like water and she has developed a cough and cold too. This has been over a week now and thank god we have the appointment next tuesday.  I am just looking for a bit of advice, back up and perhaps some confirmation from any mums with same problems.

As I said - ANY advice would be greatly appreciated cause it's not just the washin - my little girl aint happy.

    Christina & Eleanor xxx
