Hi, thanks for your reply. He had a blood test for coeliac that measures anti bodies. He only had that cos dd2 has it and consultant insisted the family were tested. My GP is rubbish - he's only just refered him for his blocked tear duct he's had from birth. I really don't know what'sgoing on with his stomach. He doesn't have any rashes or anything - just diahorea and he's abit underweight. xx

Hi, what is the difference between now and November? Bloody gps do my head in, what test did he have done to see if he had cealiac? He definatley has something going on, how old is he? Mind you blood tests aren't always that accurate under age 2 my dd had milk allergy one done which came back negative but yet she reacts quite quickly to milk with wheezing, coughing not so much sickness or diarrhea so i don't know they want me to try her on soya since she isn't allergic to milk but if they insist she isn't allergic why can't i put her on milk because they know that the bloody test is wrong it makes me laugh because they know if i put her on it she will end up in hospital. Hope you get him sorted soon if i were you see another gp if you can that is what i did and she referred me straight away i still would have been banging my head against a brick wall with the other gps. Saying that these bloody peadiatricians are like my bottom as well i am doing their work for them collecting lots of info to show them what could be happening to Zoe. Sharon x

Hi, have you any advice for us? DD2 has coeliac disase and ds1 has similar symtoms but tested negative (long story, but test results went missing for 3 wks then they confirmed over the phone it was negative, so I have my doubts). I've tried cutting out gluten but it doesn't make much difference. I then tried cutting out dairy giving soya instead but this made his stomach worse (1st bright orange then extremely watery green) I stopped in the end because he was obviously distressed. Are there any websites/ clinics etc that I can get good advice from, ie what to cut out 1st and a plan of action. My dr is totally hopeless saying it's probably toddler diahorea and won't refer until Nov. All input greatly appreciated. Also do you think his severe reaction to soya is a clue?

Hi depending how old he is he may not have rashes or skin conditions yet. My dd3 is reacting to something they say it isn't milk as that came back negative like i say i totally disagree with but her total ige which is allergic antibodies came back well high normal range for Zoe is 0.5-29.0 Zoes came back 291.0 so something is going on but do they care and that is the hospital, she is having some type of seizures do they care, no they are just making me out to be a neurotic mum, just like i have been with her all along making all her symptoms up about the reflux before she got diagnosed. GGGRRRRHHHH!!! God they make me mad. My daughters skin is perfect she reacts by respritory effects wheezing coughing etc and also it affects her reflux. How old was he when he had the blood test was he weaned as he similar symptoms to your daughter when she was younger? Sometimes you aren't always allergic to the same things, my mum is allergic to penicillin, i am allergic to hair dyes and contact lense cleaner and also a chemical used in injections like mmr etc i only know this as i have had problems for a while and they are doing allergy tests on me. I have had a patch test and that is what it showed i am going back in September for results. I have atopic eczma which comes and goes when i do the atkins diet which is carbs and some dairy allowed cheese and that is it 2 slices a day i don't follow it strictly as i like my cups of teas which needs milk in i just don't have too many and i also like my fruit i just cut out all carbs. So it will be interesting to find out what is going on. I have been reading up on here and it is amazing what you can find. Sharon x
