Aww I've not heard of this but had a quick look on wikipedia, it's looks really painful.
Have they given you any creams to use, steroid creams are usually prescribed for ezcema or wet wrapping may help to hydrate the area. x

Doctor just diagnosed "pompholyx", a type of eczema that causes peeling on the hands and feet. Anyone heard of this?
She's 10.

Hi, how old is your lo?
Most babies peel when they are new born, this is just their skin getting used to air.
If your lo is a bit older it may be eczema. My little boy had dry peeling skin on his bottom (it looked like really bad sunburn peel) when he was about 6 months old. Try aqueous cream, it's quite cheap to buy or get it on prescription from your doc's.

my baby is nearly 6 weeks old and her feet and hands have been peeling from day one, i just use baby lotion on them at regular intervals however she had a nasty spot on her face and it got worse and they seem to be all over her face now so i took her to GP who has diagnosed infantile eczema and given me some cream for it, her skin tends to be on the dry side anyway, just use baby lotion it should be ok,

Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be eczema? Or overly dry and sweaty skin?
The peeling is mosty on the fingers and toes.

She only has a few blisters and some peeling. Doesn't cause her any pain at all. Got some steriod cream to use.
