My first time on here, hoping someone can help. My ds is 12 weeks today and is fully breastfed. Recently he has started really straining and making loads of noise when poohing. He poohs after every feed and often in between aswell (4 nappies in half an hour is not unusual else he gets nappy rash). His pooh used to be the usual mustard yellow with bird-seed bits in, but then they went lime green jelly-like, changing to very dark green and they are very mucusy (slimy, stretchy stuff). Other times it's green diarroheah. It stinks! We've been to the doctors several times and suggestions range from overfeeding, underfeeding, constipation, diarroheah or a virus or intolerance. His pooh has been tested for virus and lactose intolerance. He is well, generally very happy and smiley (colic seems to be on its way out) and developing well otherwise, putting on weight gradually having lost 20% of birth weight (now 11lb 2oz). Have another drs appt this week and then paeds.
Anyone else had this?
