I seen the Health Visitor yesterday and told her what the doctor said and she seemed really unsure she said if they were ganglion cysts then how are they exactly symmetrical and asked me which doctor I saw. Now I feel really worried again!!

My ds had one in his hand as a little baby and I was very worried and had x-rays done but it did eventually go by itself. The doctor said they could remove it surgically but it was wholly unnecessary with babies -

Hello, I just wanted to say I had 2 ganglions on the back of one of my hands when I was younger (about 14) and saw a doctors at hospital.
They said the exact cause was unknown and if it didn't go down in a few months then they would drain it. They went down all by themselves and have never returned, they also did not hurt or cause any discomfort, so I hope this puts your mind at rest.
Maybe your daughter was rubbing her feet together in the womb as they tend to come up in areas that are repetatively used.

My 16 week daughter has symmetrical lumps on the inside of both feet. The doctor says these are ganglion cysts caused by the position shes was in, in the womb, she said to go back in 3 months if they have not dissapeared. Has anyone else's baby had this, what happened!!! The only information I can find on the internet refers to adults and only one cyst.

Please can you vote for my daughter Jessica, she's on page 19 of this months baby competition. I don't think anyone's going to see her that far in!! Thank you
