You can get a petechial rash following a virus!  Must be worrying though, at least in an adult you know how they are feeling iyswim.

My DS was hospitalised this weekend for a rash that didn't dissapear under the galss test! He was well otherwise though. They tried to take blood to test twice but the first time it had clotted by the time it had reached the lab & the second time they couldn't get enough to test! So they sent us home with no answers really. Just put it down to an unexplained virus. Very worrying!!!!

Everytime my lo is ill he gets the 'meningitus rash', this has concluded in him being hospitalised and treated for meningitus once, and being rushed to a&e each time he is ill.

in a&e they have done blood clotting tests apparantly to check for blood disorders of some kind because he shouldnt get this each time he is ill. these come back fine and they cant find the cause of it,

has any1 else heard of this? i am unsure what to do as we end up in a&e everytime he is ill and he ends up being prodded with needles unneccessarily. although they have looked after him well a&e have not really told us what to do if this happens again.

Any help of infor would be appreciated x
