hi keep an eye on it as all babys can have a proble as there valve is not that stong when they are born if it gets worse then speck to some one as at the mo unless they lose weight they will not do any thing  also a little milk coming back can seem like loads of milk,

my ds is now almost a year old and has been on baby gavsion since he was 3 weeks old he has also been on all the reflux meds that can be given and now they are not working for him so we are just left with 20mg losc a day and gavsion in ever bottle he is also on pepiti junior milk (does not agree with him or the others that we have tryed neocate,ect)he has milk,soya,wheat,intollance and i think he has a few others now as well but he has stopped eating most foods now

what i am trying to say is please try not to worry to much at the mo keep an eye on them and if they seem in pain or lose weight then get some one to look at them (he is the youngest of 4 children and i never had these prombles with any of my others al though 2 were sicky babys but nothing like george )

Hi Hayley just keep an eye on your baby if he gets any worse then take him to see the doc or hv. As for the lady below me my daughter wasn't diagnosed until she was 11mths old because she was putting weight on and happy, she wasn't being sick though. At night though that is when the real problem started she was very disturbed sleep due to pain writhing about in pain, crawling up and down bed trying to get comfy, asthmatic coughing making her sick. Through the day though totally different child. So what i am trying to say a child can look healthy and happy and not lose weight and still have a problem. Zoe was diagnosed by a barium meal which showed reflux instantly and she doesn't sick up.  So be aware of all symptoms. Sharon x

My little boy is 6months old. He has always been a sicky baby but never distresed and luckily always gained weight. He is still sick most days sometimes hige amounts but he is the healthiest little boy. I just have washer loads of bibs!! I think sometimes they drink too much too quickly. I think we can become a little obsessed with how much they are getting. i wouldn't worry unless she is losing lots of weight or is distressed Hope that helps.

been on gaviscon since thursday pm, friday am dd refused bottle managed to get a few oz in her but not much. then saturday she started taking 5-7oz each feed! 4 times a day and sleeping through!

she has gaviscon in cow and gate comfort milk. only thing was sunday eve she was sick again. and now beginning to show signs of getting constipated. dont know what to do as doc said try gaviscon for 2 weeks, but hv said stop cos of risk of getting consitpated!!

so confused!!! not sure how long to use gaviscon, whether to change milk to normal cow and gate with it or stop gaviscon! we dont know what is causing sickness in first place!

my son was sick from day one didnt show any signs of pain till 8 weeks then constantly screamed all the time he was a wake  he was addmited to hospital after losing weight doctor told me to cut down feeds as he was over feeding turns out he was comfort feeding to help the pain to be fair doctors probly wont do alot at the min i got gaviscon from doctors  but it just made my son constipated i would mention it to helth visitor and keep an eye on your baby if he or she is gaining weight and not in pain then dont worry they will probably grow out of it in a couple of months if your really worried go see your doctor it could be reflux  you will know by the time baby is 3 months as he or she will be screaming in pain i have been lucky my son has always slept well just cried all day which is stress full so i hope for both of your sakes its just one of those things that will be a distant memory in a few weeks or months dont worry aslong  as baby is putting on weight

we have the same with dd. was sicky baby from start, 2 or 3 times a day. didnt get much help from mw/hv but general story is as follows: changed from aptamil to Cow and Gate, still sicky so at 5 weeks changed to Cow and Gate Comfort milk. Seemed to help the sickness and reduced to once a day. dd now 12 weeks but gradually over past 2 weeks has ben going off food. thought sickness had gone (4 days without) but then started back once a day. whole bottle. started refusing feeds. anyway doc now giving us gavsicon in each feed and says its reflux. only just started but heard others had success with this.

might be worth asking for some and seeing if helps.

my 8day old baby has started vomiting after her feed, it doesnt happen everytime and apart from that she seems happy but when she does vomit it seems to be the whole feed, is this anything to worry about or could it be reflux? im a first time mum so i havnt experienced anything like this before and dont know if i should be worried or not?
